  • KRAFTWERK finally got updated to 2.0 ! Me likey!

  • Iceland is full of strange beautiful things like Eyjafjallajökull, Bjork, and those guys...

  • Crimen Sollicitationis

  • @ProphetV Konami lyric?

  • They've just released their new album, Pólýfónía, on gogoyoko. You can stream it live and even buy the mp3s from gogoyoko.com/album/Polyfonia.

A physical copy will be released by the record label 12 Tónar on 9 December 2010.

  • I cxan say this is old future.

  • Itès been 2 years already since I emailed this guy...Im trying again

  • @siggiola32 I think their Microkorgs might have been made after 1970, unless perhaps they have some really early prototypes. The Microkorg went on sale in 2002!

  • wow.

  • DAS ROCKT JA AM ENDE!!! YEEEAAH!!

  • The host says it was supposed to be on a album released in 2007 but they have not released an album since 2002. This album never came out.

  • The following is from their myspace blog on September 9, 2009:

"The Quartet has been working irregularly on their second album since 2007 alongside their personal projects, and it's now getting closer to completion than ever before. "

  • Saw them live last year in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. IT ROCKED!! You really feel the synths live, very nice!

  • lol

  • Блядь это охуеннно!!!!!!

  • some of their junk is made after the 70s...you can see it in the vid. i agree with everything eelse you said.

  • Very cool! It's so refreshing to see a keyboard based band not relying on computers to do all of the work. Can't wait for this album and thanks for posting this. xxx

If you like this you might also like Danish act Spleen United.

  • que buenoooooooooooooooooo

  • This is some awesome synth music.

  • I emailed Johann Johannsson myself not expecting a reply, but amazingly enough...

From Johann himself, by email: (not a lie)

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for writing. We're hard at work on the album and my guess is it will be out some time next year.. But it won't be out until we're

    happy with it..

    Stay tuned

    all the best

    Johann

  • Thats awesome

  • @Mikesch11

It has been almost four years since I put this video on youtube and finaly this album is coming out in next week.

  • @ProphetV

    It's finally out and amazing!!

  • @Mikesch11 Yeah, that'd be Iceland. It doesn't really have a sense of "celebrity" like a lot of other countries do, so aside from Björk and Sigur Rós, you can pretty much contact anyone you want and they'll respond. That's how I ended up sleeping at the home of Guðlaugur Kristinn Óttarsson (@DenseTime) for a week.

  • I love these guys, and Plone too.Check 'em out!

  • Ive got their CD but it dosent have this song on it, anyone know where i can buy it? aside from youtube steal.

  • This song will be on a cd they are recording. I don't know when it's coming out but this video is more than a year old.

  • @Rackham00 gogoyoko.com

  • I agree. I really think the guitar thing has been way over done. Why is that accountant typing ?

  • is there any relation between the apparat and the apparat organ quarter?

  • No, not that I know of.

  • @EasyPerformer

Apart from both being awesome electronic music acts, no. But I would LOVE to see a collab, or an Apparat remix of an Apparat Organ Quartet song.

  • @EasyPerformer no man Apparat organ quartet is from iceland but apparat is from Germany ;)

  • Ahoy syntheteers!

    Vive la revolution.

  • I recommend Plone for Apparat lovers. :]

  • Ohh Ive herd plone before The first time I Herd them was in a nick mini movie thing on the Second Nicktoons network.

  • they sound like the modern day Kraftwerk

  • Go on apparat! loves from turkey!

  • Thanks you so much for posting this. I love this band.

  • They have been my favourite Icelandic band since their first album came out.

  • Nice retro-music and a very nice collection of keyboards.

  • Great. I love Apparat Organ Quartet. And they even have one of these nice MicroKORG like I have :)
