Dieser Typ ist ein Savant, er lernt viel schneller als Rüdiger. Rüdiger ist ein "normaler" Typ, der dafür hart trainieren muss. Aber an sich, ist Daniel Tammet viel genialer. Er kann besser mit Zahlen umgehen und wirklich rechnen. Rüdiger merkt sich sozusagen nur die Ergebisse. In Potenzrechnung ist Rüdiger allerdings beinahe unschlagbar.

As someone with dycalculia, and not being able to pass a single math test in all the 14 years of school i've done (it took me 30 seconds to calculate the amount of years there) this seems impossible. Even deviding 13 by 97 to the 2nd decimal is in my mind astounding, let alone go further than the calculator does.

Obviously this is amazing but considering what else our brain can achieve it shouldn't necessarily be surprising.

Our brain performs thousands of calculations a second even when catching a ball. If a tiny microchip in small calculaters can perform these calculations in milliseconds, it's actually quite surpising our brain can't.

My theory is that the majority of us have brains that can't transform these abstract shapes we assign to 'numbers' into something that it can work with.

Hes a Savant "ChildOfTheSettingSun" theres not many of them, Im just guessing from memory that there's about 60-80 recorded cases of savants. Savants brains usually make more neural connections in one part of the brain instead of making equal neural connections. So with that said they usually have an amazing gift and a down side, like speech development for example. So they cant explain themselfs. But with Daniel Tammet there doesn't seem to be a downside with him and he can explain himself.
