  • Thank you! Beautiful!

  • I actually wish I was born into their way of living. I can only imagine how wholesome it is compared to this life I'm living.

Think of it, I'm watching how to live more wholesome and healthier on a plastic computer in an off-gassing house with few trees around me. Sick irony, huh?

Western civilization in and of itself is not and can never be sustainable. It requires resources (nonliving things that were once living) rather than being amongst the community of life on earth

  • Bruce is the fuckin man!

  • Thats cool...Yeah I can see why you thought that...I can carry on at times! lol

    Peace out...

  • little mind. go consume, go consume. hello little mind

  • Well I dont believe teaching folks to read and to supply them with knowledge is such a bad thing! The start of any civilization begins with knowledge. What are they learning? Is anyone teaching them anything? Im not being a bitch Im being practical. :)

  • what is knowledge? what will you teach 'them'? i'm very sure 'they' have enough knowledge. why do you think the bible is a good idea? i'm not anti-christianity but curious why you think other people with their own beliefs need to read it.

  • Well there you go... You start your reply with what is knowledge! Just shows how ignorant you are being...Look up the meaning...Get understanding yourself. I dont care if they read the bible for the beliefs or not but it is a good start on the road to knowledge and reading skills plus bibles are free and plentiful when found from the right sources.

After watching all the videos; These peoples survival will depend on their own knowledge and evolution as a group of people.

  • God excludes no one and all people should be exposed to all beliefs so that they can evolve in a well rounded way. They deserve to be a part of everything just as we are. Though they may be happy their life is hard and they dont enjoy the same care that most in the world do. Is that right? Just let them be??

  • I appreciate taht the bible is a nice story but the whole "earth given to man to exploit" and that dogmatic only one god thing... is kinda the root of the problem here... you're essentialy saying, give them the book that started your doom... and anyway, humans did perfectly well without books for thousands and thousands of years, the oral traditions are the most powerful, at the end of the day it's their choice... ok I'm loosing my trail of thought now.

  • Oh yeah I remember what I was gonna say,

The whole point of this project is to protect tribal peoples from exposure to outsiders.. so how can giving them the bible be contributing to that? Would you suggest leaving it on their doorstep? how would they learn to read the symbols we use for communication let alone the language it's written in without exposing them to us? The moment you do something like that you affect these people in an irrepairable way.

  • you would have them believe that many of their practices are evil? that their view of the cosmos is wrong and that without having water splashed on them by someone is the only way to escape a hell they never even heard of before? You would have them believe that their prayers are unheard unless said in the ppresence of a priest from a world they need never know?

  • give them the book that started your doom... My Doom? WTF are you talking about???

To be honest I would just let them be...Carry on as they do...I really dont care about them if they can take care of themselves...Good for them...

  • wow self centred! who said anything about the "your" being directed at you? and as to your "I would let them be"... this argument started when you insited that they needed to be 'taught', basically saying that they were unfit to survive, that they did not already know, and that the bible was the root to their... for want of a better world... salvation. You were not talking about leaving them be then. Oh well.

  • But your comment "I realy don't care about them"?... harsh, unneccesary and rather pathetic to be honest you obvisouly DO care otherwise you would not have bothered posting in the first place, it's just that noone agrees with your method of care..

  • I dont care if they change and evolve with us or not...Their way is simple and uncomplicated ...let them be...Let it be.

They shouldnt be forced to live any certain way...no one should ..unless they are doing cruel inhumane things...This story struck a nerve in me but Im over it...

  • yet again yuo contradict your own original statement. but aye let's drop it. peace out, the more time we argue they less we are helping.

  • a method employed by dominating societies for about 2000 years now, as the romans enforced christianinty on the celts, tuets and other tribes, and then, hundreds of years later the broken remnants of those people did the say to the australian aboriginies, native americans etc etc etc... not realy the best solution.

  • Yes let them be. That is one of the missions of survival. to stop westernisation of tribal culture.

They don't need to read, they don't need modernisation, they are surviving in the world the same way they have for generations. I'm sure tribal cultures have THEIR OWN stories to teach them morality, right and wrong. They don't need the bible. They will be happy left alone.

These people's survival actually depends on us, the western world, leaving them alone to live their own lives.

  • roflmao... let's evaluate... no tax... free and evective medicines litteraly growing on the trees around them... no AIDS... no major war... no guilt.. no demoralising work pattern... sure some of the aspects of their lives may be hard, I like hard work, helps me sleep at night, shame that many in the west are terrified of hard work, so waht if they don't have cars.. not much use with trees in the way, who needs a TV when the actor lives in your community... please think harder before you comment

  • @sunbirdshaman ; well said

  • relax. i asked you the question because you seem to think your knowledge is better then theirs. where as in reality we need educating as the amount that the west consumes is destroying their lands. Maybe they could teach us something? they are suffering because of our greed and ignorance.

  • nice track, should buy it really not download ^^

  • A Beautiful song from a Beautiful Lady for a Beautiful project. Tomorrow at BBC2, I'm looking forward to see it.

  • Very beautiful song. I am looking forward to the release of the CD.

  • I have bought the CD and I confirm : there are very beautiful songs on the double CD (except the electronic stuff), but Skin's one is for me the most stirring one. What a voice !
