Amtrack was a private industry yet that was Nationalized and it still is. I doubt the Federal Communists have any intentions to unnationalize the industries that have been.

Yes, but Amtrack is a loss making company that requires federal money just to function which is why it won't be privatised in the near future whereas GM has a profitable future which the US government like most others is happy to take a slice of the tax pie from. They filed for chapter 11 anyway. Why didn't they file for chapter 11 back in the fall? The government wouldn't have had to waist tax payer money. I think things would have worked out a lot better if the Feds didn't get involved and let the economic nature take it's course. Besides it was the Unions that ruined GM, the union workers are getting paid so much on top of medical coverage that GM literally looses about $3K on a vehicle. And there is no way Obama is goin to cut down on the unions.
