I wish that there was a bit of play by play as to what they're doing with the overdose victim. Do not EVER try to perform CPR or rescue breathing yourself when someone is in an opiate overdose. Roll them on their side, as the poluice did, to keep the lungs clear and keep them breathing. Contact emergency services and let first response do their job.
Weed is too addictive, that's why so many people keep smoking it. Albeit not as addicted as crack or heroin.
Basic evidence of this is how Marijuana smokers are always trying to reinforce that Marijuana is so good for you, but it's really not... Smoking anything is bad for you.
@PsychoticButcher LMFAO! have you ever at all smoked the herb? people are huge reinforcers of marijuana because of its spirtual, loving, and useful effects? ... the herb is beautiful and for those who actually love it will tell you why... it is not addictive at all in the slightest. I have been smoking marijuana for 5 years now ... and am off of it for a month and am having no problems... so no your wrong ... go do some research buddy instead of listening to your mom.
@mehappierthanu If people can get addicted to shopping and gambling, people can get addicted to weed.
The mental proponents of addiction are stronger than chemical addiction could ever be. Thankfully the side effects of pot are minimal making it a better choice if you want to give your life to a foreign substance or activity.
Her point was that it's helping now and constantly under threat of being shut down. The gov't would rather addicts be using dirty puddle water, like in the first 5 minutes of this video, getting all kinds of diseases rather than to let them have a sterile and clean environment like InSite.
@lesterclaypool1 I'm aware of that. While I agree that conservative politicians in BC would love to shut Insite down, I don't really think it will get shut down. At least, I really hope not. i have being living here in Vansterdam since 08 and i understan the change of the east cause i live on hastings its tough out here, not as tough as in mexico but i guess every place is different and unique in there own ways.
I do not agree with the message that these people just started partying and just happened to have addictive personality and now they are addicted to drugs. It has very little to do with your personality and absolutely everything to do with childhood trauma. 100% of the women who live on the downtown east side have been abused and thats why they have no home, thats why they are drug addicts. Not because they have a personality that lends them self to drugs.
i got lost coming home from a freinds house and had a wonderful little jog across main street to get home to the west end at 2 in the morning. so that was fun.
Good show n why didnt you say that when you brought that guy out of his death with narcan that he wasnt free and clear that it only lasts a little while and he goes back under and he has to go to the hospital
I saw this in class when i was probably like 13-14 years old!!! And for some reason well I was looking up shit on here I just had to find this video! It must have taken me about an hour to find it!!!

@aquauma i believe its titled that because you are watching from the perspective of the police officers(blue right?). Im pretty sure thats why its the title.
Damn. This is good. I can tell from part one this documentary is gonna be great... God love those cops... Everyday and their always focused and seemingly non-judgmental.
@babmooks This is how Singapore rationalizes it: the drug trade results in people dying or having their lives ruined(see video above); therefore, anyone who participates in the drug trade deserves to die. @sparroworange That is good. I've worked in a fish processing plant and I see the nasty stuff that goes into those cans of Salmon. Some of those fish are full of worms and have big cancerous tumors.

@HewzyLFC I'm not sure I understand this analogy. Are you saying that addiction is the bi-product of heroin use or the problems associated with heroin use are the bi-products of addiction? Because lung cancer isn't always a bi-product of smoking.
I had to watch this at school a few times and I've graduated now and still watch it about once a year to keep my mind away from making bad decisions. This movie makes me stop and think, as well as want to help stop drug abuse. Thank you very much for posting it. I think that everybody should see this in their life at least once.
I remember my class watching this in grade 8, since then, I've been offered ectstacy laced with meth, hash, pot, really glad I had the chance to watch this and realize that it's not all fun and games. I'm in grade 10 now...
Everything mind-altering is addictive if you have an addictive personality. However, hash and pot are not very harmful. You could even argue that they are not harmful at all.
My high school did a fucking study on this movie and about 3/4 of the groups we made had topics about pot addiction. It's not addictive. You're just another fucking retard that got scared by the media into thinking something that people GROW without adding anything into it is addictive.
Now go fucking cry about it in the corner 12 year old troll.
@IamJustinAdam3 man ive sat in a house with pounds and pounds of my own bud grown in my garage here in portland oregon. nothing to to, nowhere to be. i chain smoked pot every waking minute of the day. after months of this i can gauarentee that pot is addictive. dont talk shit, i was growing trees when you were in diapers. shooting dope to so fuck off you got a lot to learn buddy
@disasterpiece112 No...just no. You lost the plot big time "buddy". Maybe because you are weak minded and have no self control is the reason you find it addictive; so tell me then, why is that I can smoke it once every two weeks and not feel like I need it everyday? Oh right. I remember now. It's called self control and moderation. I wouldn't expect someone as hostile as you (resorting to swearing to solidify your point), but really you are just a crap individual with 0 will power.
@AZmesaboy you god damn fool its not about feeling like you need it everyday. its about DEVELOPING A DEPENDANCY to the drug. of course if you smoke once every two weeks you will not become dependant on the drug. however, if you use pot every waking minute for days on end, (called "abuse") and then try to quit for one day, you WILL feel addicted to it. you WILL go through withdrawls. you WILL be a cranky bitch. you WILL have trouble sleeping. marijuana use is easy to control. HEROIN ISNT. cunt
@disasterpiece112 I'm sorry were you saying something? All I saw was a bunch of random words strung together from a ignoramus trying to sound eloquent. Anyways, you bore me and you have a boring argument as well.
@AZmesaboy gee, i tryed to explain so your little head could understand, but if you just cant comprehend, i dont know what to say. i guess you'll have to learn from experience like i did. you got a lot of living to do...
@disasterpiece112 Still talking? Hmmm...After we find the cure for cancer and baldness, we should find one for people with the inability to reason. Care to donate?
@AZmesaboy you kind of remind me of the types of mind games kids used to play with me in kindergarten. i would love to have an intelligent discussion though. it seems you are not quit capable. kind of disapointing
@AZmesaboy you kind of remind me of the types of mind games kids used to play with me in kindergarten. i would love to have an intelligent discussion though. it seems you are not quit capable. kind of disapointing
@IamJustinAdam3 When you smoke weed, you feel good. But when you aren't (ex. at school) you just feel bored and want to get high again. Sure its easier to quit but it can ruin lives just as badly as other drugs.
@dr8ken well i dont do drugs i smoke weed, i think weed is healthy...and if the whole world smoked weed the world would be at peace. when i go to school high well used to i got more work done, i thought harder and worked more efficiently...but i guess it affects ppl differently..
@IamJustinAdam3 I'm pretty much completely psychologically addicted to weed and I know it. That can be overcome with some mental toughness though since there are no physical withdrawal symptoms. Just irritability lol
This is an amazing documentary. I actually met Nikki and a few of the officers that were in this. I think Nikki passed away now..
Thanks for uploading this. It's a great thing for everyone to see.. I showed it to my little brother and it really scared him... hope it does the same to everyone else!

I'm in grade 10 now...

hash and pot isnt what these people are doing, those arrent addictive.
IamJustinAdam3 2 years ago 17
Everything mind-altering is addictive if you have an addictive personality. However, hash and pot are not very harmful. You could even argue that they are not harmful at all.
chimpinaflightsuit38 2 years ago 2
@IamJustinAdam3 of course pot is addictive you dumb fucking retard. its a drug. so is coffee
disasterpiece112 1 year ago
@disasterpiece112 I'm guessing you have never tried pot then...?
My high school did a fucking study on this movie and about 3/4 of the groups we made had topics about pot addiction. It's not addictive. You're just another fucking retard that got scared by the media into thinking something that people GROW without adding anything into it is addictive.
Now go fucking cry about it in the corner 12 year old troll.

@IamJustinAdam3 man ive sat in a house with pounds and pounds of my own bud grown in my garage here in portland oregon. nothing to to, nowhere to be. i chain smoked pot every waking minute of the day. after months of this i can gauarentee that pot is addictive. dont talk shit, i was growing trees when you were in diapers. shooting dope to so fuck off you got a lot to learn buddy
disasterpiece112 1 year ago
@disasterpiece112 No...just no. You lost the plot big time "buddy". Maybe because you are weak minded and have no self control is the reason you find it addictive; so tell me then, why is that I can smoke it once every two weeks and not feel like I need it everyday? Oh right. I remember now. It's called self control and moderation. I wouldn't expect someone as hostile as you (resorting to swearing to solidify your point), but really you are just a crap individual with 0 will power.
AZmesaboy 1 year ago

AZmesaboy 1 year ago
@AZmesaboy gee, i tryed to explain so your little head could understand, but if you just cant comprehend, i dont know what to say. i guess you'll have to learn from experience like i did. you got a lot of living to do...

@disasterpiece112 Still talking? Hmmm...After we find the cure for cancer and baldness, we should find one for people with the inability to reason. Care to donate?

@AZmesaboy you kind of remind me of the types of mind games kids used to play with me in kindergarten. i would love to have an intelligent discussion though. it seems you are not quit capable. kind of disapointing

@dr8ken Learn what an addiction is then come back.

@IamJustinAdam3 When you smoke weed, you feel good. But when you aren't (ex. at school) you just feel bored and want to get high again. Sure its easier to quit but it can ruin lives just as badly as other drugs.
dr8ken 9 months ago
@dr8ken well i dont do drugs i smoke weed, i think weed is healthy...and if the whole world smoked weed the world would be at peace. when i go to school high well used to i got more work done, i thought harder and worked more efficiently...but i guess it affects ppl differently..
rehab515 8 months ago
@IamJustinAdam3 I'm pretty much completely psychologically addicted to weed and I know it. That can be overcome with some mental toughness though since there are no physical withdrawal symptoms. Just irritability lol
