First of all: don´t be such a cry baby. Japan is doing much worse than this. And not just the main streets of Tokyo. Every comercial urban area is flooded in ads.
Second: You are absolutely right to fight it. ¡That is not freedom of speech! Legalizing grafiti would be freedom of speech. What you show here is the government selling citizens mind space.
PS. Sorry for calling you cry baby... but I strongly believe whinning about it is not the best message to attract people to your cause.
I respect everyones opinions equally, or try to. I live in Orlando, FL, and have to say that we live in a capitalist mostly free market society. It is what has built this country to the greatness it has become. I don't like big corporations any more than the next man, but if freedom of speech, and expression are to continue, we need to learn to live with things we don;t like, or some of us anyway. They don't bug me any, its kind of refreshing to see the reminders of capitalism at work!
The answers you want all involve erasing the freedoms of speech and the freedom of enterprise. This guy doesn't inform the viewer that Scenic America is paid by big newspaper, television and radio does he? Follow the money! They don't give a crap about America.Ban this and what's next? The outdoor companies are operating within the laws that govern them. The other medias compete for the same advertising dollars that outdoor does. The other medias sick these dogs on outdoor advertising every time!
@swingn8 Do you realize that newspaper, television and radio don't have the effect on the cityscape that outdoor media does? All these enormous attention-seeking outdoor ads destroy the scenery, covering up beautiful historical architecture, as well as nature.
i wouldnt say the real damage is on the scenery. the real damage is on the brains of the people. How many times nowadays have you heard of a teenage girl fighting anorexia and bulimia? how much time do you hear people work 12 or 14 hours a day to get that shiny looking car that will make other envious?

Thank you Scenic America. This form of advertising is hideous. I hope you continue to draw attention to this issue.
