The Tom Waits influence is so evident in this song. And in my opinion, Mick is one of the few artists that could hold a candle to Tom. Well done Mick. Can't wait to get to some more of the live shows. Keep up the amazing work.
Incredible yet again from Mick, Had the pleasure of watching him live twice, Eventhough the first time i knew only two of his songs, Hope to see him perform again with the same company, Ni know for sure your gonna love this song.
Got a chance to see him live for the first time during the summer.Twas savage!One downside though, good few people at it decided they wanted to listen to their friends blather on instead of the man himself.Never got that - why would anyone pay good money for a concert ticket and then show up and talk during the musician's set?Think it's downright rude!
@EOD100 couldn't agree more! don't get the people talking thing. somehow it became acceptable behaviour to rabbit on at concerts, in the cinema....wtf! you'll know I want to hear you talk when I buy a ticket to go to your house and listen to your words of wisdom. until then how about a nice big cup of shut the f*** up!?!
@OtherVoicesLive I was writing about the people who talked over Mick Flannery's live performance. Very thoughtless and inconsiderate behaviour...Not only to Mick, but to the others in the audience. Not to mention they were missing out on the wonderful experience of Mick Flannery's performance.
