I have heard the Box Tops version of this song when I first heard it in the 1960s. This version by James and Bobby Purify is the better version.

This is one of the greatest recordings of all time in the history of music. The vocal performance in this historic recording session is so incredibly fabulous. The delivery of the lyrics are just fantastic beyond all belief. Also notice how SLOWLY the drummer is working; incredible - amazing drummer. Also check out the fabulous background horns in this awesome song.
