BIR respected entirely the smooth atmosphere of the original, a very important thing to me. Another virtue of the mix is that they recovered Humphreys original vocals instead of using the distorted recorded voice of the former studio version: Awesome. Of course I'll love it to have on mp3.
i liked OMD in the early to mid 80s n when this kicked out at a rave on the outskirts of Leeds....the ruuussshhh i received on hearing it remixed plus it got me replaying all my omd albums that were in the attic

I really like this particular mix. The Moby version was good, but this beats it by a country mile. It's a shame you can't get this on iTunes like you can the Moby mix.

It just sounds like danceable Elton John for f***s sakes! Do Brotheres In Rhythm realise OMD used to be a very progressive synthpop band in the early 80s??? I doubt it.
The original is million times better than this crap! Just as bad as moby's remix.
Good to hear again, what a superb mix :o)

What year was this released as a DMC only remix?
vinyldude1210 3 years ago
1991. Was released in the DMC 12'' record "May 91 Two", catalog number "DMC 100/2".
Brothers in Rhythm were Dave Seaman & Steve Anderson, and this remix was called "Postcards From The Edge". Just one word: AMAZING!!

Wow...wow, what a track!!! That piano... The Brothers do it yet again. RESPECT. Nice cheeky "Little Fluffy Clouds" sample in there too.

Nice try. Nothing beats the original, though...

This isn't a bad version, although I do feel that the song has that amazing feel to it that it does because it's kept at a slow pace like a ballad
