Those shells are rusted and therefore unusable and highly unstable : you can only detonate them where they stay; and it's gonna not be a piece of cake, because you don't want the blast to scatter them everywhere, unexploded, around the site!. My regiment used to do this(and still does), and it's quite a qualified job!
