  • what if i wanted to move something shaped like a big U through it?

  • jadow81 dam u was going to say somthing so keep up the good work :) ??? GRRR

  • Answers to the questions some people asked:

    1. About the failure: This is merely a trial product.

The purpose of this show is to report something in its inception.

The title of the show reads like "egg of something new".

    2. The purpose: To minimize the exposure to the outside air.

It's supposed to be used for something like freezing compartment

to reduce the cost to keep the same temperature.

  • I love this door

  • fail... 1:17

  • Dear Santa

  • this isnt practical

  • Now I've read comments I can see why it's bad. And you guys forgot something. The Automatic Caution Door decal would split on that thing. Now how are we gonna prevent automatic door accidents?

  • @Pinkergloop ...cut the sticker into smaller strips that fit on the little panels? It couldn't be read once the door is open, but by then you should damn well be able to tell that the door is automatic

  • In America, there's a common yellow round distinct-looking Caution Automatic Door warning decal. I wonder how that sticker would look on that door.

  • cool but it looks like it still needs some work on the sensors

  • 1:18 fail

  • one word.....WHY?

  • Push the box faster... then we'll see...

  • cool..but pointless....but cool

  • OMYGOD THE BUILDING IS ON FIRE! *BAM* *aaauwwwww stupid door, open! open!*

  • Great. So I leave my fat silhouette behind for all to see :(

  • waist of money!!

    Go Traditional!

  • this is stupid

  • it is made to keep the coolness or hotness of the building in so the electricity bills are cheaper

  • whats wrong with a normal fucking door????

  • これ、今こそ福島原発復旧現場で必要なんじゃね?

  • that would annoy me to no end having a half inch of clearance over my head every time i walked through.

  • LMAO 1:16 ... his hair was fake thats why it couldnt detect it

  • i would like to see a naked woman holding a bottle of wine when that opens up like that.

  • 1:14 it malfunctioned on the creator himself!! lol What a fail!!

  • JUST OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!

  • That is useless.

  • ...the Invisible man hates these doors!

  • Would be cool if you could like run through and theyd be super fast

  • IMAGINE IF YOU WERE FAT!!!

  • whats wrong with.. a normaly door?

  • @bugsbunny159 - Ha Ha Ha....!!! I too thought that...!!

  • Ahhh I will never run into a door again... Now for the doorframe

  • it would save on air condition waste

  • Only two words: ASIAN WORLD O_O Woow awesome thing =)

  • This just seems pointless.

  • I imagine that you could have preset programs that allow only the bottom slots to open for pets (to their width and height) or a few slots to open for mail or food deliveries. The door in this video looks like a demo model - further refinements will improve its operation and reliability.

  • It's pretty cool but... how is it better than a normal automatic door??

  • why not just have an automatic door like there already are?

  • I think they are used for peep shows. Pay more - more opens.

  • This. Is. Awesome.

  • fail

  • why not just have it open all the way up?? but still amazing

  • Watch an american get one and search for hours to try and find the handle

  • Neat, but not practical. Why do we need a door that only opens to the contour of the object going through it? Energy saving? We get the same results from industrial plastic curtains. What if ONE of those little servos goes out? You have an unopen bar across your doorway. Dammit, now I am just bitching over a stupid automatic door! Now I am going to be in a bad mood for the next hour! Thanks, Japan! Thanks, YouTube!

  • aaaah star wars doors?

  • what is the point of that?? waste of money? same as a Automatics Doors. why making stuff so complicated

  • I want one of those

  • So he uploads a Japanese video with a title in English and Spanish description.

  • @InsanitysBest Hahaha xD

  • @InsanitysBest i laughed hard!

  • 1.18. Clearly it still needs some improvements.

  • how much to get these installed in my house?

  • cool, but unfortunately pretty worthless.

  • Fail at 1:18. Watch as he tries to get the stubborn slats to open by moving his head closer to the sensors. :)

  • 175 japanese peoples pressed the like button!

  • aesthetic vs functionality at it's best

  • speak in fucking english!

  • @XxSharpshooter51xX Theyre japanese retard.

  • The worlds' most pointless and inconvienient door in the world!

  • *walks towards door*....*slams face***

  • I'll go in there!

  • is it me or did the jap holding the blue punching guy turn anyone esle on lol

  • @WTFyouratard No its just you.

  • :O thats amazing

  • What an irritaing door!!!

  • fail, unresponsive, waste of tech investment

  • @domineilluminatio

With time and a lot of work it can become a great piece of technology

  • that would really save power!! especially in restaurant and store freezers...(where the loading docks are and stuff

  • how stupid

  • I love Japan

  • And just what is the advantage of such doors? It's clever but what purpose does it serve?

  • LOL IF ONE DOES NOT OPEN AND U WALK INTO IT

  • But what are you supposed to slam when you angrily leave the room

  • lol .. it would look funny if some1 got big balls xD

  • And we would need this for.. what??

  • @lucbessonium nasa man .. nasa

  • @SinbadDHock lol

  • @lucbessonium i dont know but it is cool you have to admit that.

  • @lucbessonium

for freezer, clean room and so on

  • @rinominokimono Freezer? Why? If the door would open just enough to let your hand in, how do you find what you need if you don't see what's in there? And it really doesn't matter if you keep a freezer door open for a minute. And a clean room, well most of the dust comes from people, clothes and other textiles, so if you use a room, it won't stay dust free no matter what kind of a door. Maybe in an industrial enviroment but we already have inexpensive and always reliable PVC flap doors.

  • 1:04 WTF!!!!1 BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM MUAHHAHAHA

  • @ALEN4789 Glad someone else found that as hilarious as me. I love Japan.

  • @BenjaminFrankenstein everyone loves japan for one reason or another

  • and the next model a plasma liquid door made from chochlatemilk =]

  • yeah, only the japaneses can to turn something as simple as an automatic door into an amazingly complicated and expensive contraption

  • @quaxk

so true. lots of opportunities for something to go wrong with this thing.

  • lol easy a robber can just come in

  • bring on the wall..... lol

  • Y do Japanese ppl make everything so complicated

  • retarded.

  • WHY DONT THEY USE ANY OF THESE D:

  • lol and what utility does this feature have?

  • @Deriuse its for the clean room or Refrigerators

  • @Deriuse not using ur hand :D :D

  • Яйца этими палками прищемит

  • lol

  • HAL, open the pod bay door.,,,,,,,,,,HAL, did you hear me. Yes Dave, I heard you. Should I repeat the command. No Dave, I'm not going to open the door for you. Then I'll just use the emergency explosive bolts. Dave, You'll have a hard time doing that without your helmet. Arrrrrrrrrr. Built in Urbana, Illinois.

  • what if they where sharp blades lol =P that would be scary to know. like SIR THAT NOT A DOOR LOL dont go in there chop.

  • japanese are freaking smart

probably because theyre in school 10 hours a day and on saturdays

  • A quoi ça sert ce genre d'invention ? Je ne vois vraiment pas l'interêt

  • japanese are always very creative...

  • It reminds me of the scene where Arnold removes the "Two weeks"-lady head in Total Recall.

This would be useless for a fat white person, since the whole thing would open.

  • This door is not for your house .

Idea of using the door is like

    1) sanitazed room in a hospital which doesn't want germ from another room.

    2) strage room which doesn't want bat weather come in like rain or dust.

    3) freezer strage which doesn't want change temperature.

  • The video say that it is good for rooms which don't want change temperature even 1C * or 1F*

  • whats wrong with normal automatic doors?

  • 1:17 FAIL

  • What if u needed to get the fuck out fast? DENIED

  • only in japan

  • Telop: this is a technology to the hospital (clean room) and cold storage warehouse.

    <biggest waste of money

    They need a minimum door.

  • I love japan, but that is the biggest waste of money ever

  • CHINGS!

  • its cool but it would be kind of pointless to have in your house

  • Blurry

  • they just made it easier to break into a house

  • easy to peep thru...im just saying

  • Rofl, im pretty sure thats the engineer responsible for the way the door opens at the end, that is just plain horrible publicity luck that it sure enough fails to open for him properly. Otherwise, pretty cool.

  • lol, they were bored and wanted to reinvent the wheel

  • Don't the normal automatic doors do the same?.....it's a waste of money....I luv Japan thought ^ ^

  • It was saying for freezing room or where want to keep cold or warm.

example, meat shops or fish shops.

The cost is cheaper then make 1° down.

So mayb not too waste for meat shop owners,,,,,i guess :)

  • What's the point?

  • That is fucking amazing!

  • looks organic alien :D

  • huh the only problem i see is that it moves too slow for most people's pace

  • Amazing....enough said

  • Cool and fancy. But also useless and dumb.

  • This is just SICK!

  • i love japan!!!

  • useless....

  • it will be so funny if someone loked like they were barging into it and it opened and they could see what what they left off.

    ^-^

  • i'm japanese, but i don't think it's necessary XD

  • porq no tengo uno asi?

  • I'd need 6 of them to open :)

  • wtf dude!?

  • i want one

  • where can i buy this

  • what the fuck is wrong with people , this is completely useless technology for a door , doesn't even work the way they want it too

  • lol! imagine this for toilets :P! massive lines! XD

  • @GotchaBad ha ha lol

  • heh, reminds me of the old cartoons where coyoti runs through a wall or door and the shape is cut out :D

  • for what i understand, these doors have a loots of sensors and there are open making the form of your body

  • He says this door is useful for hospitals, freezers or something like that.

  • what if one becomes unresponsive and you embarrass yourself

  • @thaishu but its still cool xP

  • its shit it dosnt work !!!!!

  • FUCKING AWESOME! I WANT THIS DOOR.

  • omg thats amzing!!!!!! its like your in space lol

  • or...you know they could just have the whole door open

  • what the door is pimp opens just so you can fit now thats cool

  • humm. too complicated

  • Well thats... unnecessary.

  • whats so hard about opening a door well but its super cool

    though :)

  • This thing is just a cool idea, with lots of room for improvement.

This thing should only be utilized in the interiors, it would compromise safety if this was your front door. (Unless it can detect you signature by I dont know how)

Also, the sensors should be on the whole bar, not only in the middle. Plus, make it detect longer distances and it should open at a faster rate so you won't have to wait.

But yeah, its laziness. We can open doors with our hands.

  • its cool of u think that in some years it will open and exactly ur size (a bit bigger I guess) and have sensonrs on the whole bar and not just middle

  • are we seriously getting that fucken lazy that we cant even open a damn door now a days

  • whats that saying - "if its not broke, dont fix it"

I never realized all these years that doors didnt work? - Why the hell is this a good invention? lol

  • one question... just why???

  • Sure it's cool and all, but why? :(

  • Until the sensors break, it's cool.

  • That would suck if a murderer was chasing you.

  • To rackas321

That would truly suck, but easy to solve by adding another piece of technoligy.

Bet you know of facial recognition software right?

That would work for Security doors or home doors, also add a couple medium strong magnets to hold the "door bars together properly" and thus sealing them a bit better.

    -----

As for people saying our lazyness has no end that is so true, but imagine this in shopping malls or shops where people venture in and out all the time with bags, ; )

    Dragonlie-

  • @rackas321 Yet, if you are thin and the murderer is fat...

  • @rackas321 may be USA only have fear with out reason to be murdered?????????

  • HAHAH it still has bugs to work out..

  • XD L0L

  • waaw :p

  • It would certainly do away with pet doors.

  • sorry but not to worth it door i still stick with the censor glass door...

  • For freezers so you won't have to open the whole door and lose the cold air.:]

  • whats the point?

  • Falla, los detectres van en las puntas lo mas posible sino no abre bien, ademas se ve por el medio nocierra bien... MALISIMO

  • why not just have doors that open entirely? what's the point of this? cool tech though

  • for freezer and hospital

  • Why?
