  • SPEAR BURN IRIEEEE

  • yeah man

  • they are ALL so fuckin high as hell

  • @tellerwaescher88

I don't want to disturb your illusion, but the only one one who is real high here is Mr. Rodney himself.

There is an unwritten law within Jamaican Reggae musicians that they don't smoke (too much) before the gig. The only one who "is allowed" to smoke weed is the singer, because he has to promote it. After the gig they all get stoned as hell, but to keep the riddim and the groove uptight, the band doesn't smoke before and during the gig.

    Jah bless!

  • dope performance. he feels it and that's what it's all about. jah bless

  • Spear felt the spirit of our forefathers who lives through us and sometimes they just want to bawl jump and shout, who feels it knows it.

  • spear wrote the song, interpret it in all the realms of his spirit however it comes. as sons of slaves and pirates we can relate.... this is real!!! Bob Marley feels it the same way... go to saint ann jamaica you feel it you know!!!

  • spear wrote the song, interpret it in all the realms of his spirit however it comes. as sons of slaves and pirates we can relate.... this is real!!!

  • It's brilliant entertainment as well, so the message gets heard.

It' such a treat to find a new live version, thank you!

  • ..omg,goose bumps allover! everything is real now,but this (s)hit is more real...Jesus!!

  • this is not the original...so why label it as such???

    Abacaba

  • the legend live!

  • Merci pour cette perle!

  • Thanx for the one who posted this amazing live of THE Burning Spear, one of the most beautifull performance of reggae history (between foggy "road", "institution", and this one........) he looks like he is possessed by a magis soul... the way he can't even sing the lyrics is just hypnotic and make us see a little peace of truth.

    pure roots reggae

    love

  • tune ... remember the daze :-)

  • Is the singer high?

  • feel the vibe....THAT is what reggae is alll out

  • @grunge0730

  • great just great thankx burningbou

  • Top Man !!!

  • Oh how I love the Burning Spear.

Happy Passover as we remember the days of slavery.

  • out of space lol:)

  • Everytime i hear this song, i get inna higher state oh mind.

    Let the music lead us....

    HAIL HIM

  • Let's just say that Winston Rodney was feeling good during this song.

  • unbelievable

    respect

  • To all who are complaining, i read in an interview where Bobby Ellis said he had the best time working with Winston Rodney on tour and studio coz he gave the players of the instruments to shine abit with him not singing much. he sang his sings coz in studio czo they had to fit in an record plate. Unlike other artist who went on stage sang their songs and the shows were over quick. I agree woth Bobby coz as a fan of dubs I like hearing instruments and band solos plus live music can be improvised

  • oh yes the vibe.... all u dubsteppers better do your homework b4 u try to come flex. one love jah bless...let no man curse

  • 5 fucking minutes with only the band playing. I know that this song doens't have much lyrics but still, DAMN. When seeing this recorded it becomes stale quickly, probably much better if you're there in person.

  • Why are you relying on the lyrics? FEEL into the roots of the music and the spaces so abundant in this beautiful song. Open up to just what is being expressed. This is not about entertainment. This IS about awareness. Love x

  • I wasn't in a state where I could do so at the time of my last post. Now, when looking at this clip again, I see what you mean.

    Thank you =)

  • who feels it knows it ... give thanks and praise to the most high

  • @2251972

Please don't try & teach these children. Let them sleep. Their so used to Trash music. This is what True Art is about. Letting go

  • @eddiemambo

    you're so right.

  • looks like an old amy winehouse vid. the band does all the work while he try's to find out where he's at.

  • Yeah, LOL.

  • they dumped us not only in the caribbean but in North america and south america!

  • true african desendant that has slave blood flowing in him- he who feels it knows it. yee man, they beat us, they use us,they work us soo hard till they refuse us and dump us in caribbean.clean us off their history, built lots of prisons and less schools, burning is responding to all these vices that no one else except real desendant of slavery feels them directly.

sometimes the emotions and pain are express by tears and cry-exactly what he`s doing right in this video. jah bless.

  • They did everything to us. Yet we rise! We survive! We Thrive! I am so proud to be african descendent!!

  • Not african decent. Just african.

  • he is high as a kite wow

  • Deuteronomy 28:15

    Deuteronomy 28:32

    Deuteronomy 28:41

    Deuteronomy 28:48

    * Deuteronomy 28:68* And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again WITH SHIPS, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.

    Egypt is synonymous with SLAVERY

This is biblical PROOF that we are indeed the Israelites. B/c we didn't follow YHWH's law, he punished us. REPENT, Israel

  • he can't remember the lyrics so he starts to tamtam

  • @stefos77771

Lyrics are not important in this perfomance,

you just have to look at his expresions,

he is looking at the descendents of the slavemasters,

performing to them, remembering the days of slavery, feeling his ancestors, being

raped, murdered, and work 'till death

if you can not understand that, then why listen to this performance?

  • haha, winston rodney at his best!!!

  • i love when wiston chants off the mico phone at 0:51 an 1:04 an1:18

  • Wtf

  • bless up jamaican musiq fi life

  • nice. that's pretty fucking awesome.
