  • LAST CONCERT :'( SAD MAN ...

  • this is so amazing that its hard to believe its even real.. i was born in the 90s and i really wish i could go back in time to witness this stuff

  • Comment removed

  • 78 persons don´t like rock n roll..

    but the who is great

  • i was born in 93, i barely caught the tail end of nirvana by the time i was even old enough to understand music and appreciate it

  • i'm sorry but all the bands you listed are crap Yargasblarg1

  • There is no "better" drummer. They all had their own unique drumming style, were different, and yet the same, in their own rights. Buddy Rich and Neil Peart are amazing, and Keith Moon And John Bonham are amazing. Ginger Baker is amazing as well. The one thing they do all have in [no-doubt] common, is that they all can play quite fast.

  • Keith was the best of them all. He pushed Pete to new heights which helped make The Who one of, if not the best live acts that ever existed.

  • Alice Cooper- "About 40% of what you've herd about me or Iggie or Ozzie is probably true. Everything you've ever heard about Keith Moon is true, and you've only herd a tenth of it."

  • Keith was arguably one of the greatest drummers of all time, if not the best. For those of you who rate him "below" Peart, Bonham, Portnoy, etc: they are all greats in their own right. The Who was collectively the greatest rock band in history.

  • @dadicesare

    My list is

    Peart

    Moon

    Buddy Rich

    Bonham

    Ginger Baker

But who the fuck is portnoy?

  • @dadicesare awesome drummer.. but.. he's the 2nd of all time.. Nobody's like Bonham.. thats my opinion :)

  • FAN TAS TI QUE !!!!

  • the who had one of the worlds best drummer in history and yet they lost him too early :/

  • Shure beats weetabix

  • You don't get a drummer like this every decade and whichever band could have him they will never refuse his river. And personality wise he made a legend of what R&R or Blues or Jazz guys were all about. Absolute top entertainers who needed their one-notch higher for their own.

  • THAT IS ROCK N ROLL....wtf happened?

  • @blujay1524 Rock and roll obviously got the better of him his best mate was a rock n roll singer his name was Adam Faith

  • @blujay1524 MTV happened...

  • @blujay1524 nothing different happened. At that time, parents were looking at Jazz and asking what happened. Music is a constant dialogue and evolution. I'd say Dubstep is an evolution of metal which is an evolution of rock which is an evolution of rock n' roll which is an evolution of jazz. The only reason you remember the "good ol' days" is because all the bad bands of that time get buried in history while the greats stand out.

  • @Yargasblarg1 "Dubstep is an evolution of metal"

No... sorry that's just not even close. And it makes me wonder how much of a loser I have to be to engage in a nerdy ass internet argument with you in the first place.

Rock n Roll is more of a fusion of Country/Blues/Soul/some Jazz elements imo. And I'd take any of the bad bands of the olden days (grateful dead/some of the more mediocre British invasion bands/Anthrax) over 90% of the "great bands" still playing.

  • @blujay1524 first of all. Anthrax=bad band? wtf are you smoking Anthrax is fucking awesome. Secondly there's plenty of great new bands. The Mars Volta, Tool, Meshuggah (they only rose to fame recently), Muse. And to me dubstep is an evolution of metal because bands like Skrillex can rock out and show musicianship. Music does not have to abide by conventional rules or instruments to be great.

  • @Yargasblarg1 You're just fucking with me aren't you? Those are your examples of good bands?

You can't seriously believe Dubstep is in any way shape or form related to metal...because it isn't...like even a little...like not at all.

  • @blujay1524 well i guess Muse isn't that great. They're ok. Besides that all those bands are excellent bands. They each put a great amount of thought into the music they make and they make the meanings of their songs ambiguous so that people can find their own meanings. Meshuggah is probably one of the most rythmically explorative bands out there and Tool and TMV are both rythmicially, and melodically, progressive. Idk how you can say that Tool is a bad band.

  • @Yargasblarg1 I'll give you Foo Fighters...I like Foo Fighters. And The Verve is legit but it's still not the fucking who.

Most of the "recent" bands I like are all gone, and they mostly come from the Britpop era in the 90's. What else have I got that rocks?

  • @Yargasblarg1 And another thing, "The only reason you remember the "good ol' days" is because all the bad bands of that time get buried in history while the greats stand out. "

That's whats great about the good ol days, we don't have to remember the shit. But now the shit is right in front of us and there's nothing else good to compensate for it. What do I have to show for Maroon 5, or Coldplay or Three Doors Down? These are the big acts of today.

  • @blujay1524 that said i won't deny the amazing musicianship of The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, e.t.c. It's all great. from The Mars Volta to Buddy Rich, it's all just great music but in different flavors.

  • @blujay1524 Nirvana happened

  • When Keith came along, his style was totally unique; he was an original.

  • Keith's good but Buddy Rich is still the best.

  • Pete is the most uglyest and dumbest man in the world.I hope he dies slowely and in pain.

  • @Deformedius Fuck off you cocksucker. He was more successful when he was 10 than you will ever be buddy.

  • @buzzsaw177 Do you know what happend to him when he walked into a wall with hard on????He broke his nose aahahahahahahahaha

  • @Deformedius you have no respect at all.

  • Comment removed

  • @bribartal Me? I'm the one telling someone to have some respect for him lol... I'm highly influenced by Townshend... I even do a crappy version of the windmill when I'm playing songs by them...

  • @bribartal No, I never called Entwistle a dumb. God bless his soul! Always loved him - John the spider! Entwistle and Jones are the world best bassists. And by my personally opinion, just want to add Geezer Butler to the list. Jesus, he's really strong!

  • @beggarhipnotized

yeahh haha i saw the 'john is awful' comment and just replied. didn't see that you meant to say awesome not awful

  • @bribartal That's fine. Shit happens lol

  • YOU GOING TO DIE ALSO, YOU FUCKING ASS HOLE

  • @nalibos Se you in hell buddy!

  • @Deformedius Everyone; we have an attention seeker in our midst, ignore the moron.

  • @Deformedius - What you have to say is sick & twisted and you can't spell, even with spell-check. Try to say something positive.

  • @Deformedius You have no brain but my grandmommy's drain. Pete is genius! One of the best songwriters on the world. A true artist. And a great rockstar! His music will live in eternity, when you and me and our little miserable existences will rot in the dirt.

  • RIP Keith, there will never be another one like you!

  • Keith played only solos and nothig else...

  • Buddy Rich is amazing btw

  • lmao at the caption "stop commenting on whos the best" then you say the names of the ones you think are the best :P but awesome, loving buddy rich, keith moon and the guy whom plays the solo in soul sacrifce.

  • Keith moon, ginger baker, drumming gods XD

  • Thumbs up for petes power slide

  • @WhooNiki You're not serious are you? Do yo know what Ginger Baker and coffe have in common? They both SUCK without CREAM.

  • Why was i born in 1984??? I wish i could turn back time to see The Who with Keith Moon and Led Zeppelin with John Bonham LIVE...God bless them!

  • @Raysalesman Take it from me it was great. I saw The Who with Keith Moon in 1975 for $6.50 and saw Zeppelin's 3rd to last show ever in North America in 1977.

  • Keith Moon is a MadMan!!!!! :D a pure fuckin legend!!! end of story!!!

  • keith moon is the most coolest guy ever.

  • Blondie's Clem Burke would give Moon as run for his money - maximum performance with nowhere near as much effort!

  • @Sabatinitennis Perhaps so. And Brad Elvis too. But, before Moon, no one played like that. Both Burke and Elvis were influenced by Moon. All are very expressive -intrinsically musical - drummers.

  • Why the fuck is justin bieber in the recommendations =.=

  • I"ll end the fucking madness.Just go to "The Concert for New York City", "Wont get Fooled Again". Last one for Entwistle i believe. Dont you get the fuckin chills !!! Ah Salud!!

  • "This a drum solo.

    Thank-you"

    NO FUCKING SHIT

  • green day is gay.

  • Perchè Keith Moon? Era fantastico perchè era he was un fulmine al TNT: a lightning's TNT,Keith Lightining's TNT Moon! Wanderful emotion. Emozione totale.

  • @theanarchyman won't get fooled again.

  • Greatest band EVER ! Thanks for posting ! Fabulous video.... Just one man's opinion who lived through the British invasion.

  • what is the mane of this song

  • I remember the first time I tried the guitar windmill. I nearly broke all my strings and cut my thumb.

  • Kilburn 1977 wasn't Keith's last concert. Shepperton Studios in 1978 was.

  • haha i love keith, but i still find his faces amusing..

  • FYI, it's Kilburn, not Kilborn. You must be thinking of that horrible talk-show host...

    P.S. Green Day is shite.

  • Anyone catch 'Ten Years After' at Woodstock and the amazing drum solo during "Going Home"? I don't rate any drummer over another, Moonie was amazing but so is Led Zep's, horses for courses but TYA at Woodstock is worth checking out purely for the effort the drummer puts in. And no, I have no idea who he is. I think "Going Home" was originally by Helicopter.

  • Worst sound quality ever. It ruins the video.

  • Don't you mean 'Kilburn'

  • Stop hating on Green Day guys, they are both two awesome legendary bands but they are totally different from each other. And the guys of Green Day definitely have more skill in their instruments than what they show in their songs, watch these,

    Billie Joe Armstrong-watch?v=DVUpaAZOGHE and watch?v=o7NjQDjVe-M

Tre Cool(Watch it to the end, they play The Kids Are Alright)-watch?v=gzErVt8xgRg

I got nothing on Mike DIrnt

  • That powerslide is what taught Jables and Rage Kage how to do it.

  • wow... no slipknot... no pantera...no system of a down... no primus... no slayer...no fear factory..no Mudvayne No biohazard..

..i can go on and on...but yea.. this is truely an OPINIONATED lineup of who YOU believe to be the best drummers

  • always good but i still got that spot for buddy rich

  • Long live the original Animal!

  • YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Fuck you all. Buddy Rich!!

  • What is this song?

  • Keith makes a funny face when he plays, bless him

  • That's not a drum solo; it's a lengthy fill, at best.

Bonham and Peart must've been fucking baffled as to why Keith Moon was so highly rated.

  • @WatTyler13

Yes It was a fill. The Who did not make staged solos for the musicians until after Keith passed. The first I remeber was for John with the song 5:15 in the 90s. The Who live was, with Keith, all random solos during the musical parts with everyone doing solos. None of them were the best at their instrument, but as a group they were wicked. I always thought Bonham was overated; blah one drum solo in Led Zep's entire catalouge. Peart and Moon though is a question.

  • @MrVoltaris

To be honest, it was never particularly Bonham's drum soloing that made him so great.

Just listen to When The Levee Breaks, Kashmir, Achilles Last Stand or Fool In The Rain to see why he was so highly rated.

As for Peart v Moon....no question whatsoever!

  • O CARA ERA UM LOUCO GENIAL E ADORÁVEL.

  • dude come on , the who and green day have different time , i love the who and also i like the song from green day , they both are great ,

stop comment whose better at the drum -_-

    The Who live on 70s

Green day live on modern time , so they have much time to learn the mistake from the who -_-

    so, stop comment it

  • keith Moon- drummer of d band THE WHO, famous 4 destroying drum kit after concert.

  • Mitch Mitchell is also an incredible drummer.

  • Now that's how you finish a fucking song!

  • Kilburn was not his last performance sheperton was

  • thats a fill in for keith.

  • Lol @ John Entwistle "Look at these idiots hopping around."

  • This is a drum solo. Thank you.

    Nice =D

  • my first album...........

  • It is really is futile and rather childish to try and compare any band or musician with regards to ‘who is best’ etc. etc. The top bands and top musicians that stand the test of time do so because of their very uniqueness and individuality, therefore you can never really compare on a ‘like for like’ basis. As a performer, showman and character Keith Moon was perhaps second to none.

  • Moonie and Bonzo are downing brandy chasers in the Great Bar in the sky.

  • WTF why talking about green day here the who completely shits on green day even though they are a nice band but no way comparable to the who cmon

  • @mgtoney i dont think anyone said green day is as good as the who? i think every'ones saying that the who and green day are to pretty sick bands.... totally different bt i like the two alot

  • @mgtoney true that!!! The Who great composers, actors, writers, performers, and AMAZING live band, if you were lucky enough to have seen the original group of 1970's era perform on stage you understand what I mean. These 4 guys all played lead in there respected field and it blended seamlessly together, just simply the most spectacular live band period. Buddy Rich the world class drummer, said after seeing them, I'm a second rate artist compared to Keith Moon ,he is the best I have ever seen!

  • @fokker313 Exactly! wish I could have seen them live all together it would have changed my life. And keith was young too imagine what he would be like if he were still alive

  • @mgtoney plus there totally diffrent, and decades apart

  • @iowkidd yes, maybe...????

  • "best" is subjective to your perspective... just enjoy good music and quit competing over who has the "best" taste in the "best" music... day-am boys... they are flat out good musicians, now quitcherbitchin' and enjoy the show...

  • Where was the drum solo?

  • @slkhaldrogo the part where he plays drums on his own - hence - a drum solo

  • IT SEEMS ODD THAT THE WHO ALWAYS SEEMS TO SPARK UP A DEBATE ON THE BEST OF THE BEST OF THE BEST

  • Is it just me or is everybody just too scared to make the simple observation that while The Who are always included on the list of principal rock and roll bands, they're actually a bit boring.

  • 70 people will get fooled again

  • I think Keith Moon IS the best drummer. Ever. I also think Townshend is the best song writer, and that John Entwistle is THE BEST bassist of all time. However, I think that Green Day is a very remarkable band. How can anyone compare the two? They are different genres. I dont think any of them are the best all time, but I do think that they are the best band of the 90's/00's. Just like The Who were the best. Green Day and The Who have remarkable and similar musicians ( GD loves The Who)

  • @LongLiveWho I like Green Day..but they cant much the top 50 bands I have in my mind..Im talking about skills..Tre Cool is a decent drummer,Amstrong is a decent guitarist but a good lyric writer and Drint is a decent bassist..but all together they are great and I like them :)

  • @Mychemicalmetallica See that's a good comment. I know Green Day isn't the GREATEST band up their. In the real world of music, they're just a band. I like them and I think they are good musicians!

  • @LongLiveWho Im with you man (Y)

  • @LongLiveWho I love music, that's all.

  • @Mychemicalmetallica I like Green day, I think they are brilliant songwriters, but skill wise there's a lot left to be desired, I mean what kind of a ninnyhammer calls themself Tre Cool, such a gay name.

  • @Rossini130 hahha i see your point hahha

  • @LongLiveWho why u no giving daltrey a mention?he can sing anything from opera to hard rock and sing it well!!!!!!!!

  • @LongLiveWho The Who in terms of musicianship far away kill Green Day , we all know that. Both great though. They both have a little swagger , a little cock rock , a little punk rock and a whole lotta rock and roll. Both bands make me wanna turn it all the way up and keep it up there. And both bands would beat the shit out of Nickelback and their asswipity fans.

  • @LongLiveWho Easy. Green days for candy asses. And the whos for bad asses. Learn your music punk.

  • @LongLiveWho Yes, Entwistle is awful on bass, but John Paul Jones too!

  • @beggarhipnotized awful?!?!! wat?!

  • @LongLiveWho Sorry man. T'was a mistake. Want to say awsome! I love THE WHO much! Especially Pete Townshend!

  • @beggarhipnotized haha r u british? i figured. but yeah they're awesome!

  • @beggarhipnotized wtf man!!!! No. Just no. John is NOT awful on bass. Not at ALL. Hes a fricking GOD.

  • @BeatlesManiac15 Well, I'm yelling it to all the universe: John Entwistle is THE GREATEST bass player! Man, I LOVE THE WHO! I never said nothing bad about Pete, John, Keith and Roger. Got all their albums (and also Townshend's solo albums), and a lot of literature. Tommy and Quadrophenia are masterpieces, and See Me Feel Me is the best song ever written.

  • Comment removed

  • I must have missed it.

  • please don't compare Green Day to The Who...

  • here comes my personal top 5 favorite drummers:

    5. Animal (The Muppet Show.)

    4. Peter Criss (Kiss)

    3. Eric Carr (Kiss)

    2. Keith Moon (The Who (obviously.))

    1. Roger Taylor (Queen)

please tell me what you think and share your opinions :P

  • @maggedude

    wat about john bonham

  • @Grganator not really listened to Led Zppelin that much at all lately :|

  • @Grganator Neil Peart

  • @maggedude Not in any particular order.

    1. John Bonham(Led Zeppelin)

    2. Bill Ward(Black Sabbath)

    3. Mitch Mitchell(The Jimi Hendrix Experience)

    4. Ginger Baker(Cream)

    5. Keith Moon(The Who)

  • iSN'T this intro from CSI MIAMI? :D Keith is amazing! :)

  • tre cool and green day are talented people.... keith moon and the who were talented people as well. some people like green day more than the who, some people like the who better than green day. deal?

  • Should add Mitch Mitchell (Jimi Hendrix Experience) to that list of great drummers.

  • @freelancehero YES!!

  • My perfect drumming trio: Keith Moon-John Bonham-Neil Peart

  • Green day is gay ass pop punk for scene chicks... The who is ... well the who

  • tre cool is shit. greenday is too

  • Trè cool is the best drummer.. end of discution!!

  • @gormnikohagensk BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Thats a good one hehe, tre cool

  • @gormnikohagensk Die in a hole.

    Also, it's spelt 'discussion'.

  • Much to every bodies disappointment I must throw this at you all. Go type in Buddy Rich and watch the greatest drummer of all time. He could sit side by side with keith moon and duplicate it with eeeze and I know Keith moon knew Buddy was and would concede no competition. Buddy Rich is king of drummers. Brent

  • @sansankudo Can we not bring Buddy into this and make it a fair discussion, please? :P

  • @sansankudo BOOOOOOO! I hear that crap all the time man... Pfffff.. go somehere with that.

  • There seems to be a lot of drumming nerds/snobs around here: I wonder what will happen if I so much as think the words "Meg White"

  • Bonham & Moon pure rock drummers in style. Mitchell was a jazz drummer whose style fused jazz and rock in a way Bonham and Moon didn't. Hendrix music allowed for this jazz/rock marriage of drumming. Who and Zep music did not. All great drummers who knew exactly how to flourish within the overall style of the bands' music.

  • WHY BRING UP GREEN DAY?....FUCK YOU!!

  • I play bass and I rarely move around as much as my bandmates going nuts. When asked "Why dont you fucking move around" I just point at a picture of John Entwistle

  • I've often felt that you can't call anything Keith Moon did a solo, since there was no predetermination in the sound being produced. More of a momentary opus.

Either way. He was a brilliant musician.

  • yhe first time i heard him i felt like an air boing took off

  • TRE COOL A GOOD DRUMMER !!!???? FUCKING BEHAVE...HE AINT EVEN IN THE SAME SPORT LET ALONE LEAGUE AS KEITH MOON.......MATE GO AN LEARN UR ASS FOR 20 YRS THEN COME BACK AN TELL US ABOUT DRUMMING....

  • Just because yall hate Green Day doesn't mean you have to insult all of their band members and say they have no talent. Tre Cool is a great drummer, but you obviously don't listen to their music enough to hear it.

  • Neil Peart forever best rockmultipercussionist/drummer ! Geddy Lee forever and Alex Lifeson forever = RUSH forever !

  • me gusto aunque creo q falto mas del solo de keith creo q es muy corto como para llamarsele un solo!!!

  • green day not even close to being in the same league or on the same stage

if Moon was alive and heard green day...he would walk up to there drum kit and piss on it then set it on fire along with the "drummer"

  • I like Green Day but really, comparing them to The Who is just ridiculous.

  • John Bonham can fuck off:)

  • @hibeelewy95 Woah dude Bonham's one of the greatest drummers as well.

  • @hibeelewy95 What?

John Bonham is fuckin god in the form of human

  • Rob Bourdon BEST drummer living on earth right now

  • the worlds greatest drummer hasn't existed yet. everyone has different tastes, everyone had different opionions, and every great drummer has there own specal atrabute that makes them a great drummer. Moon, Pert, Bonham, Lombardo, Portnoy, and others i forgot to mention are all great drummers, and none of them are any more better then another.
