  • Our band is nowhere close to the caliber of The Tennessee Governor's School Wind Ensemble, but I really like this piece. It's beautifully written. I wish our band was better though: Playing accidentals with more confidence, having better air support in the upper woodwinds, and having better crescendos.

  • I love the part at 3:40 (measure 47)...but not very much in this recording - i think it's mainly from the lower quality recording. This piece is really hard because it's so long and slow.

  • very nice... although i wouldve liked more shaping and contrast

  • I played this piece in both HS and College! It is really quite moving, Kudos for taking a slower tempo! When I played it in HS, it was shortly after the Columbia shuttle tragedy! We dedicated our performance to the Columbia Astronauts. There was not a dry eye in the auditorium!

  • i felt a little rushed at the beginning but other than that it was beautiful. im playing this in my high school band right and i luv it!!!

  • It's a beautiful song, but our band is VERY bored of playing it, I'm not quite sure if anyone likes it. But it sounds awesome.

  • I will be playing this song in my spring concert it is a very nice piece of music

  • we've just read this. so beautiful!

  • We played this song last year, the same arrangement too. It was amazing.

  • Amazing. The only bad thing i would say is it got boring in some parts. Other than that everything sounded in tune and balanced.
