obviously everyone is different and were you may flourish others may struggle, but their struggle is your advantage wereas your struggle is theirs SO....Its best to actually Practice from time to time
yes i know he is in the pro 450 ama class. but in this video it was taken when he was on the 250, and yes i know his name is Andrew Short and hes my favorite rider. and i know hes on a 250 because you can see the dual exhaust on the bike which means its atleast a 06 and up honda CRF250R
i don't know why you guys argued so much about whoop sections lol considering everything about them can call for different techniques. some you need to stay centered on the bike and make contact with both front and rear tire on each whoop, some you can just lean back...
my strong points have always been rough straights and moguls, where i can pass most locals guys on 450fs when im on my 125 :)
......to get more weight at the back of the bike, incase the font drops too far.....then you have good leverage of the bike......as opposed to trying to pull the front back up, when in a more "neutral/attack body-position".
Just watch the slow-mo feature clip of Ricky Carmichael flying through the whoops in TerraFirma 7: Project MX
ok ive done this so many times but when i try to come into the woops my front end always drops after like the 4 or 5th woop. what do i do to prevent that because ive had some pretty scary moments in the woops lol thanks
i hate it when people say "lean back".....THATS TERRIBLE ADVICE!!....coz its the **upper body** people lean back. Its not the Torso your meant to be "leaning back"!!
Its your *ass* your meant to shift back/stick out. So actually your Torso is leaning *FORWARD* not back, because you want your elbows still quite bent (which means your upper body is still relatively close to the bars)
So all in all....your NOT "leaning back".....your just shifting the centre-line of your ass back. Why....?
Stay on the throttle all the way through, even if the front starts dropping. I had the same problem with whoops, and still do, but it is much more effective to stay on the gas all the way through. Good luck!
thanks guys..... at my track there is alot of sections that i didnt like but one night i was ridden with my buddy and it was time to head er in and i just thought to my self i should just pin it, and now all of those rythm sections i didnt like i love because i am so fast through them now. Ill pst a vid in a bit here and show you guys. thanks for the help and support

they are the hardest part of a track. 60% of all the crashes happen there.
