I love Lois's character but I Just don't get the chemistry between Lois and Clark... Lana and Clark were more pure, sweet, innocent until the writers decided to screw up everything about their relationship. Like honestly, they didn't even give them a full season to develop their relationship in a nice way without adding all sorts of things that just pushed them further apart.

I take it you've never read a comic or any other adaption of Superman. Lois has ALWAYS been Superman's true love and was created way after Lois. Lana hasn't even always been his girlfriend in every continuity. Smallville is the only continuity which gave them a deep relationship or showed them being in love instead of just good friends who dated at one time.

I don't care what the comics really say though, I'm talking about how superman is portrayed in Smallville and I honestly think that Clark and Lana would make a great couple on smallville.
