my engine built by ta performance calgary alberta. using ta parts and Kenny bell pistons. i have MB girdle and i am wondering if that was really necessary because i have seen many builds that have not used this. it is a 462 build with to stage one heads. also my torque numbers have went up slightly although i now get them across a broader range which now starts with 530 ft lbs at around 3000 rpm. i think there is more in there. would switching from a 850 cfm demon to higher help/negetive?
Thats amazing that you have 12207 hits but barely any comments. People have no clue what pure power is these days :( Great job on whoever built this extreme engine. I have a nice 455 with a racing trans. I was wondering if you could grace us with your build blueprints:)? Im wanting to make a great engine like that to stick in my 71 GS 455. Having a engine like this is worth wasting gas! lol
had a 66' Special and that was the goal......... to drop in one of those bad boys, the ONLY WAY TO GO............ the amount of torque those things have is SIIIIIIIIICK!!!!!!!
do my eyes deceive me, or are those standard/stage 1 type exhaust runners? i would think a 455 twisting that tight would be running stage 2 runners. is there a particular reason for your choice of heads? i'm very interested.
The loop on the header tube is to maintain an equal length on all the tubes and also to fit inside the stock frame rails of the car as it does loop around the frame. Torque peak is at 648 at 5400 rpm. That is ice. pulls engine was getting hot and we were trying to keep the intake cooler.
The headers are custom made with 2 1/8th inch primary tubes and 4" collector tubes. The 2 1/8th inch is larger than the Hooker headers (use to run them) which are 2" and the HP gain was 29.8 hp on the dyno over the Hooker Headers.
MAN THAT BEAUTIFUL, NICE NO COMP AT ALL SO NATURAL
