The difference for me is totally cultural and spiritual Jerusalem will always be the capitol city the centre of the religious life and the focused center of Israeli and Jewish folklore I like Tel Aviv its a great city and has so much to offer, but Id preffer living in Jerusalem. there is multiplied Israel's socio-political situation taking into account the west bank, the palestinian issue, the historic and geographic situation etc. I think developing urself there is very important for the region
I love Israel especially Jerusalem. What bothers me about tel aviv is all these gays and nudists doing parades. I wonder how these people got into Israel in the fist place, defiling God's Holy Land. Anyways my respect goes to the people of Israel. God bless them forever.
@RobertsDigital If you really like us , stop calling our country the "holy land" because we are normal people , living in a normal country. Gays or non religious jews have the right to do what they want in Israel. Israel is a free country for all the Jews and the rest of its inhabitants , it is not a religious state. Thank you.
I Am originally from Pakistan but live in Toronto.. and i've been wanting to go to Tel Aviv for so long but can't due to my retarded government banning travels to Israel ... the scene in tel aviv looks fucking wicked .. great city both Jeruselum and Tel Aviv..I heard you guys have some of the most insane parties :D
@harrisdurrani really? Kind of strange my grandfather visited 2 months ago, wanted to visit the land of Christ before he died and got over no problem. Maybe its something new (or maybe gov't of Canada are being dicks to you and saying since you were from Pakistan won't let you got to Israel).
I guess that he meant to say that the retarded Pakistani government banning travels to Israel because of their alliance with Arab Muslims. He will be punished by his Pakistani government if he tried to visit Israel with his Pakistani passport .
Also, maybe he doesn't have his Canadian citizenship or its passport yet ...
hmmm how far are the 2 cities from each other?? like, if I visit Israel for example, would I be able to visit both without having to travel for long hours? =P
are u suggesting that we dont have night life here in Jerusalem?? cuz we have ! and u forgot something -the air in Jerusalem is clean ,when i visited Tel Aviv i could hardly breath ...
You really aren't serious comparing jerusalem nightlife to tel aviv!!! i leave neer jerusalem and with all do respect compering to tel aviv jerusalem does'nt have any nightlife!
@gilshallem well i know what u mean but unlike u i live IN jerusalem around many religious fanatics and yet as a secular person i still have night life so please dont exaggerate
@bleach3292, well i live in mevaseret witch is really close and i didnt say there are none, I said comparing to Tel-aviv there are none.. there are nice religic monuments in jerusalem but this has nothing to do with nightlife
I was a tourist in June 08 in Israel. I could see personly how big the differences are. I am a german Gay and not much interersted in christianity. Basic knowledge and the 10 commandments should be often enough - in my eyes. I think that fanatic people are hidden in stupid old visions in books who aren´t modern. Its only important to be human and rational with an understanding for other-living people. Who learned tolerance from childtime on, has an easier life. Shalom for the israelis! Peter
I read your command about the difference between Jerusalem and tel-Aviv,
hopefully more people will be rational like u, and see the real thing about it.
tel Aviv is modern and liberal in any european mean , I hope more people would realize that.
I've been to Germany and i must say i found similarities between Berlin and Tel-aviv, for instance that there is no one big center like other european cities.
yup but jerusalem is alot bigger while tel aviv is a metropolis with like 300k cars going there everyday to work.. im a kid and i dont go there alot.. when i do , its hard driving there
Great video :D Interesting to see the differences, I hope I can see for myself one day:D. Btw, this song is incredible, can I get the name of it? haha
I think it important to point out that Tel Aviv is the new modern Israel and Jerusalem, the birthplace of the 3 major religions is the old world and in it's way, as beautiful as Tel Aviv.
Was there in '88. I immediately felt at home, and I'm not even jewish. Israel's a sort of europeanised north america. And her people are very hospitable. I wish circumstances would allow me to move there.
This video is AWESOME....going to Tel Aviv this December for the first time!!!!! CANT WAIT AFTER SEEING THIS VIDEO!!! Can I get the name of this song??
Congratulations! I think you understood WHAT is Israel today: holy and secular, ancient and modern, conservative and liberal, i.e. the ONLY DEMOCRACY in the Middle East. I liked the music as well! Can you send me a message by telling me who is singing? I would like to get this music as mp3. Toda!
I will try to ask my Israeli friends to help me to download this song from somewhere in MP3 format. I hope they will find it. I'm going to try a search on Zman Israel toolbar.
I went to visit Israel last year; it was love at first site. Tel-Aviv is a very modern city, as should be expected. Jerusalem is just very special place. It has so much to see, i.e fascinating museums, architecture, endless history. Most of all, Israelis are just beautiful people, hospitable, friendly, kind and caring. I cant wait to fly back to that eternal land again.
the singer is Ivri Lider, he's one of my favorite israeli singers, btw he's gay, Tel Aviv is as much gorgeous as always Jerusalem is a very nice city but the religious people just make it too old fashioned
shit yeah its verry good israel i know 5 guys from israel they are living here in mexico verry good people i want to go to israel its looking good good good thanks alote for this vid

tel aviv the modern and the liberal city.
jerusalem the ancient and the ortodox city.
today tel aviv holding up to 500,000 people.
and jerusalem about 700,000.
tel aviv=our future
jerusalem=our past
them both importent cuz we building the future from the past.
adir999 3 years ago 3
tel aviv's population is prolly around 400-450k ..
and ya i have to agree

I understand you, but i think Jerusalem not only past... Yerushalem the future. The Messiah arrives into this ancient city then! We wait for him.

Jerusalem is a holy town and there is about 712000 people that lives there. But the population in Tel aviv is 300000.

jerusalem is a little old town, ancient, but, in all respect, Tel Aviv should be the capital of israel, rich, prosperous, a true symbol of inguity.

tel aviv is our metropolis
jerusalem is our history
