Basu Gasu Bakuhatsu is easy to say... once... Was even able to do it twice in a row without a problem... I started sound like Chiyo-chan if I tried three in a row though.

And for the record, i have no problem saying Basu Gasu Bakuhatsu. Its actually easier in some ways then the English translation.

That goes for a lot of the English voices in this series. I think Sakaki's and Yomi's English dubs were the only ones that didn't make me want to stick ice picks in my ears.

Perhaps Stephanie Beard would've been a better choice for Chiyo's voiceover.

I can tolerate Chiyo's voice more or less. Yukari and Nyamo were just fine, IMO. The rest were either border or I couldn't stand them at all (well....out of the ones I heard....then I switched it back to Japanese).

Oh, yeah! Forgot about the teachers. I agree. Their English voices were actually quite good.

The funny thing about subs vs dubs is that, in my opinion, the vocal performances are better in the original Japanese, but the writing is better in the English dubs (at least compared to the subtitles, since I don't speak Japanese).

I don't think the English version is particularly different from the Japanese one. In many parts I find the voice actresses' tone and emotional responses to be virtually indistinguishable from the Japanese ones. Sakaki and Yomi, for example.
