  • Your putting the wrong foot in front. When you vault yourself you need to bring the left foot in front instead of putting it behiind.

  • You are putting your toe in to the side so it is causing you to jump sideways so then your shoulders are ahead of your hips and it is really hard to jump like that! So talk to your coach and he/she will help you!!!

  • Well, first of all your not fully turning on your 3 turn, make sure you are fully going backwards before your toe hits the ice. Also, your arms need to be fixed. Good luck x

  • your left arm is tilting ... my was at furst i fixed it then got my dubble toe .... toy got to think the 3 t"s tight tall toe!!

  • go and look at your marks on the ice...your take off edge ( BO) SHOULD BE directly across from your pick...your BO edge is not across from your pick as you leave the ice too soon..you need to go back to single toe loops and re learn your technique so you have the correct print on the ice..then try and do 5- 7 toe loops in a row. then you wil be ready for the next correction...good luck

  • HOLD IT LONNGER ON THE BACK EDGE

  • *Arn't not Are'y

  • ok this is what you need to do!!!! watch it again when you tap you arn'y bringing your foot through. and it is called a toeLOOP not toe axel right? Loop= back Axel= forward. make your foot be like a airplane going off the runway not a helicopter almost drag it on the ice. do you see how your just pulling in

  • your leg to get up in the air isn't going through enough

  • you need to pull in more.you are almost wrapping!

first make sure youre jumping and rotating.then pull in really hard!

  • dont bend your knees when landing

  • Step up, girl! You could land that no problem if you just stepped up

  • you aren't stepping through at all!

  • really really cheated and you are getting no height in and your not staying in

  • I agree with KloverKitty u r definetly underroating and your right leg is pushed to the front thus making you fall over, evan though i think ur landing on ur left leg bt if u land on ur right leg then the other way round.

  • drive your knee through once your toe pick is in (: just like an axel, the knee has to come through

  • your underrotating from what i can see. your only getting 1 and a half rotations, thus landing the jump forwards (wich is impossible). you need to work on your leg strength and height of your jumps. practice of ice alot until you can get the full rotations and do lots of rope jumping, squats and bench jumps to improve your leg strength and jumping ability

  • try this: don't lean forward on the landing, kick your leg farther up on the take of, and pull in more.

  • youre kinda jumping from backwords. make sure to bring your heel through before you leave the ice.

  • just hold the edge longer after the inside 3 turn and your body is not square. try doing some walk throughs before you do it each time. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i agree with kankavi!! you still rock though!

  • You're doing a toe axel, you need to work on the pivot

  • you fell, thats all i can say

  • it's amazing.. really.. i don't know how you jump the other way though :P good job!

  • YOUR NOT STRAIGHT AND NOT PULLING IN ENOUGH AND OVER ROTATING AND IM ONLY IN PRE PRE AND I LANDED MY DOUBLE TOE AND IM 11 YEARS

  • It looks like you're not getting enough height for your rotations. You're landing at the wrong moment. :) Keep practicing!!! You're doing really great!

  • you are not completing your second spin so you are landing forwards in an aquard position which means you cannot land it. i had similar problems

  • you're doing more of a toe axel than a 2toe, you need to push your left leg through and "switch" the hips more :) good luck!

  • why are you reaching down half way through the jump?! thats the problem! You're reaching down, before you even land it!!! Pull up straight, and imagine your are attatched to a string on your head. Be straight in the jump. And when you land, CHECK"OUT"!!

  • yea you need to draw your right leg through more so your in more of an axel position

  • what ur doing wrong...

1.well you need to check your 3turn(ur going way 2 fast)

    2. On ur 3turn your pulling leg to much behind so it's harder to go into your jump

    3. your pulling your shoulders before your body is ready to jump (don't forget take your time)

    4. your rotating to much you know why because your geting ready to jump before your toe pic even reach's the ice

5.when your in the air it's beautiful but in the middle your just letting go, think about doing some push ups and sit ups.

  • And you're totally not checking your 3-turn on your entry. Take your time, and check!!

  • is easy, you have to stretch yourself and really keep your back straight, and you also need to put your arms as close as possible to the chest and the exit you have to have a straight back, if droba the back you'll never make a good exit

sorry the bad english, Im portuguese, is normal ;)

  • the problem is that your letting your arms go out when you've only done half a roatation if you keep your arms tucked in im telling you you'll land it! cuz its pretty good thats what my coach tells me my coach is a level 4. and i uste to do my double toeloop like that to but as soon as she told me to keep my arms in it helps.

  • your not kicking through so it is a toe axel- you need to wait longer and make sure you carry your leg through all the way first

  • yes you are or you wont get enough hight !

  • u fell

  • make your three turn shallower!

    or try a different take-off

also yo have no H going into the jump your not getting enough airtime for your rotations

  • you are not supposed to have an H going into the double toe :/

  • keep yourself aligned, stand straight when you go into your jump, there are a few sequences (at least it looked like it) where you were bent a little to much at your hips.

don't swing your leg around so much

make sure to take the time to check.

slow down and take it easy :)

  • Whoa girl. Ha you're picking really far back and then waiting too long before you jump. It's too curved after you turn. And you need to keep your upper body more still and bring your right foot through before you jump, that is the biggest problem

  • You need to pick further back and pull back before you jump so that you can get the rotations. Also when you jump you have to step up to get your height. Pretend that you`re kicking a soccer ball, thats what my coach told me to do (: Hope this helps. Good luck xx

  • ur air position is really loose. like ur free leg is crossed so far over that u can't bring it out. and also u need to try and jump a little higher so u can finish the rotation.

  • yiu arent bringign ur free lag throught enought before you push off and when u take off your lag isnt crossed the right way . you should be in a back spin position.

  • You need to step up.

    xoxo

  • it looks like youre checking out too early

  • Your not bringing your free leg through enough. What helped me was to think of an Axel when taking off. It helped me to think about the free leg. Hope that helps too!

  • when you put your right foot back to pick off you need to extend your leg all the way behind you. right now you're not extending your leg back. you have both legs at the same spot when you take off. ask a coach

  • You're pre-rotating. It's causing you to twist a bit in the air. Your shoulders are ahead of your hips. Take your time. When you go to kick your free leg thru, don't let your shoulders get ahead of you. Hold your skating edge on the ice longer and almost bring it past your picking foot (it's awkward but it works). Then as you kick thru, get momentum off both your free leg & your picking leg. Don't snap in early. Wait to get air off your edge & pick, then pull in & shift your weight to land.

  • @jdarrah17 What you're explaining is Pre-Rotation which is what she needs.

  • you had to bloom in a line not in a bow (sorry i'm german) and than, and do not circling your right leg so long, like in that video. (cut in the ice earlier.)

    i hope i help you :D

  • stay on the ground for as long as possile before lifting up into the jumpp. :)

  • Try to straighten you free leg all the way. It starts off straight and then you bring it back in. Keep it back; that should help.

  • your not doing any thing wrong- your just not doing some things just bend your knees and pretend your a spring!! bounce up!

    good luck!

  • ok well first of all, you take to deep of a three turn and thats making you fall off your edge and loose balance. also, you should try pushing in deeper with your toe. it will help. but, have you landed your double sal?

  • I thought a toe loop was taken off from backwards and that's why a single is a full revolution?

Oh well, stop reaching for the ground and keep your back straight.

  • no, the only toe jump taken off from backwards is a lutz. well, they're all taken off from backwards lol but you go into a lutz backwards not forwards like a flip and toe loop :)

  • ahh right, fair enough :)

  • dropping shoulder.

keep your eyes off the ice.

    :)

  • also u could try pushing off the ice with your right foot as well as ur toe, u get a little more time in the air that way :)

  • After you pick bring your left foot in front of your right. The toe loop is basically like an Axel off your toe. Think of it that way and you will be fine.

  • omg btw, thanx i know im not the one asking for help but ive been having troubles landing it, i never thought of it that way i hope it works cause axels are easy :D

  • your reaching for the ground cuz ur afraid of the fall but you need to stand up straight. i do the same thing

  • you are afraid of the jump. You are reaching for the ground, not checking.

Believe in yourself and your ability. Do singles for an entire day...work teqnique. Do 50 singles.

Don't reach for the ground!!! Your feet will find the ground.

  • You pull out.

    Simple as that.

Keep your arms in and get the feel for the double jump clean before you do all this stuff VVV

  • you have to make tention in ur back when ur just about to pick it helps me

  • you need to kick up with your free leg when you take off

  • you should try stop tucking under, have a little more speed going into it, and jump higher.

  • your pulling in too fast... finish the first rotation and then pullin and get that extra rotation

  • im working on that jump too..... ur's is a lot better than mine. u should try rotating more and keeping ur back more staight when u check out

  • very nice, but, like me, your crossing behind when you pick and that will always result in you and the ice meeting once again. i know. its happend to me plenty of times and i have a knack of crossing behind too, but maybe you'll be better at fixing the problem than i am. other than that its a very good jump, but just try not to cross behind and see wat happens! good luck!!!

  • erm try digging your toe pick in harder and pull your arms in tighter

  • try not reaching ur top back so far on the take off and do a shallow three turn!

  • Try to take a more-shallow three turn to help avoid whipping the take off.

Also, bring the left leg through and up.

    It should help.

    :D

  • oh n keep ur check longer then bring the knee up

  • u need 2 b more straight n ur comming out too soon keep it a little bit longer it helps to count the count for the double toe loop is 3

  • that ur scared 2 jump

  • stop tucking under!

  • OK, well, you need to keep your feet and arms tight until you land. Good otherwise!

  • your spinning on your toe when you go into the jump... just lift up

  • pretend that you are kicking a an when going into the jump... if that makes any sence to you. lol Im learing my double toe to!!! lol well that and while your in the jump dont reach for the ice and don't think that you are going to fall... I am not a coach so these are just tips

  • you bring your legs in too quickly, and you need to stand straighter. give it time and you'll definatly get it!!!

  • do more timing in your entrance, the toe loop is a jump that requires a LOT of timing, don't drop your arms keep your shoulders even. don't twist your hips. when you put the toe pk on the ice don't jump right away cause u'll be jumping n two feet and that's not good, you have to put he toe pk, then with the other foot glide on the ice bringing it close and turning so that you can do kind of an "axel"

  • i used to do this a few years ago befor having it consistant. your three turn is too curvy so when you go to pick your foot is not directly behind you and then it blocks your free foot from being able to kick through all the way. just pick right behind you and kick straight through and your good to go!

  • you need a little more height and ur half a rotation short. Also, keep you back straight!!!!! I am a clockwise skater too!!!!! I cant do double toes, so I am just giving you advice based on what I see. Good luck!!!

  • you need to hold your second edge on the three turn, and spot from backwards, don't turn to forwards when you spot, and rotate in the air not on the floor,

    gd luck xx

  • try putting your toe in farther and drawing more, and have you ever heard the "h position" when you draw make sure you get forward into an H position before you pull in..

i just started landing this jump so i cant act like ive been doing it forever, its just what my coach told me and i was doing the same thing... but it looks prettty close!! good luck!!!

  • your not bringing ur leg all the way thru on an outside edge

  • dont dip your arm cuz it throws you of center and so you aren't straight in the air(it would be your left arm)

  • your right leg never left the ice! thats your problem. you need to get off the ice with both legs!!! try to jump maiking sure that your right leg is off the ice

  • wll you need to check your arms and you are swinging your leg to far back behind you and not jumping from a sbent to stright leg. you have to also have your arms and legs in sync.

  • think of this rythym going through the jump turn, check, bend, spot and dont swing the leg that spots round control the 3 turn stretch back and spot further away and stay straight or lean slightly forward 4 the double toe take off trust me im a sk8r working on 3 toe its a gud start so just correct the little probs on take off and ul b landing it real soon

  • work on your arms!!!!!!!

  • u have to bring up ur right leg

  • when you stick your toe pick in the ice, your too far back already, so its too late. Plus, your arms and legs have to be in synch. Also, you have a slight wrap, and your tilting back, causing you to fall. (p.s. i just landed mine.) O yea! and you have to squeeze your legs really tight in air and snap around to get a good crisp rotation. (pps. im probably much younger than you.)

  • you have to pull ur arms in and pick sooner

  • ur not picking up ur right foot trust me im a skater 2 and im working on my double toe loop 2

  • You're dropping your left hip.

Get it up there and you won't lean :D

  • when you pick your right foot in, your left foor drags by, doing a 3 turn. ur making it go all the way through to the other foot, making your jump go in the wrong direction.

  • your right arm needs to check infront before and after takeoff

  • The first comment says it all. Take off before you think about rotating. Back to square one and work on getting a really well floated single with a strong running edge. Once you can hang in the air on a single, then start working on the rotation for the double.

  • "Take off before you think about rotating."

That simply doesn't work. Physically you have to initiate the rotation on the ice. You can't do it in the air. So you have to pre-ratate it.

  • u need to TAKE OFF first before you can actually rotate in the air... work on the take off then when u get the hang of it, work on the rotation... thats how i learned... :/ not bad tho...

  • you need to work on landing with agood ballance

  • you're not kicking your right leg through, and you're tangling yourself up by crossing your left leg over too much. keep your right side up throughout the jump.

  • When u pick back, make sure your leg is straight back and stretched back. There's also no kickthrough. When you pick it's too close and there's no stretch back at all. Your also leaning with your leg wrapped. Really think about the stretch back and the kickthrough of your leg all the way through and not half way. Move that right arm up and pull in.Good Luck

  • Kick through!

  • It seems as if you are completely unbalanced and aren't getting over your right side to pull in.

Also, when you pick in, you're kind of like curving to the left, so it's making the jump awkward and harder for you.

Try to pick in more straight.

    Good luck.

  • when you pick, follow through the movement by passing your leg across the picking leg. and transfer onto your other leg

  • you need more check and when you pick in you need to hold it longer let the free leg come around more you go into the jump to soon not by much but it makes it look like a toe axel if you now what im talking about

  • =] as u take off bring ur right leg through... sorta like across ur other leg lol its hard to describe but yea almost like an axle take of but not forward...everyone hates a toe axle...lol good luck xx

  • i think your free leg on the landing is over rotating and its pulling u off balance and making u loose ur edge

  • My daughter is also working on her toe. Yours looks great, i too have no idea what is wrong. Keep trying!

  • on the entry your are leaning forward and your free leg is swinging around, then when youre about to jump, your pick isnt staying in the ice.

  • The most common mistake skaters make on toeloops is entering forward. Watch carefully, the moment your toepick touches the ice you have already turned your body forward. Toeloops must be entered completely backward to be correct and to keep your center. You also drop your left sholder at the end of the first rotation. Pull your core tight as you shift your weight off of the skating leg at the entrance of the jump. BEND YOUR KNEES! I cannot stress that point enough to my skaters. Good Luck!

  • It's better, yet everytime you seem to just stop with the rotation. I figure skate myself, have been for two years or so now. Also i compete at national level in trampolining so i know how it is to have to rotate so many times in the air. Try to pull your shoulders in and keep your arms tucked in because the moment you release that tension you stop the rotation. Try to bring your arms in quicker when begining the rotation though. Hopefully that was of some help :]

  • you have to pivot about a quarter of a rotation more before you kick through. and when you do kick thru make sure youre kicking the knee thru not the foot!!<3

  • try to check the tree turn to stop the swing in the free leg and also make sure u spot straight back from the three turn rather than spotting behind the skating foot as u wont get it spotting behind!!! if u r still havin trouble think about spotting pushing the free hip out and then an axel off the toe 2 begin with

  • After you hit that toepick, pick it up there like an axel. Trust me, it will take awhile. I am still working on my double toe loop but, you know, I hate it because I Suck at it and I don't do it anymore.

  • you are bringing your arms in to slow which is making you go off balances, so bring them in more and bring your leg up higher

  • lo peor q tenes es q picas re cruzada.. pisas mucho el filo.. y no te impulsas...

  • You need to lift that free leg up higher, that's whats pulling you over to that one side. And the free leg needs to be stronger.

    Hope I could help!

  • when you put your toe back to draw you aren't going straight back... you are crossing behind the foot on the ice... make sure you draw back straight and it should really help =]

  • When you start to descend, your upper body starts to lean over and you stretch your hands downward like you're expecting to fall. You did it all three times. I think you just got scared, because you looked great. Sift through the comments, thouogh, there's more good advice in her thatll hopefully boost your confidence!

  • when you land put the first foot that touches the ice more straight so it catches you

  • well ur jumping the wrong way, or r u a leftie?!

  • first you neeeed to bend through your knee and pop as you swing you other leg through to make the rotation

  • u need to bring in ur arms tighter to ur chest

  • i havn't read all the comments but you have no follow through... your left leg needs to reach through and jump to it. you are starting the rotation before you are in the air. MOTO= RISE UP THEN SNAP also you need a check after the 3-turn, altough it is hard for me to see in slow mo

  • *right hand sorry

  • make sure your left hand is in front when you take off.

  • tighten your body more, ur legs and arms are out too much...and werent you cold wearing shorts in an ice rink?

  • things going wrong: 1. your sticking your butt out way too much. 2. your reaching for the floor when you could have landed it. its ok though your just scared. itll go away with practice. 3. you need to pull your body tighter... there are too many lose arms and legs there. other than that it was pretty good.. i do agree you were a little open in your three turn.... some pointers: 1. speed up alittle. 2. three turn closer. 3.tight! good job! i hope this helps! =]
  • your bailing...

  • Nice job!

A few things, though: on the 3-turn, your upper body position is open (keep it square with your hips, facing forward! :) ). (I do the same thing, lol!)

Also, you're cheating when you tap. Step directly behind (keep your feet parallel).

    Best'aluck!

  • you are jumping the wrong way ........ jump to the left...

  • no, every1 jumps different ways. i spin clockwise, which is different from most people but it duznt affect the quality of teh jump or spin.

  • ok...i am on theses jumps too! <3 So..when you are picking make sure you are streching straight back. And remember to keep your back straight cause if you dont you will put all your weight on the wrong foot and you will be trapped in that postition. Or if you try to jump from that position you will twist your body....hope they help

  • ur opening out

  • Every time you did your 3 turn, you leaned forward so when you take off, you're still leaning forward and that throws you off balance. And I couldn't tell, but I think you pushed with your toe pick... that's not going to get you anywhere. So just work on that and you should land it! =)

  • work on your back spin it will help you learn how to rotate also work on arm position you have your arms to the side you need to have one in front and one to the back

  • not rotating all the around, falling out. i like the slo-mo effect.

  • Begin by looking up 1.

then be sure to check arm in front

  • Good try... try keeping ur legs and arms tight until you finish the jump so that you can land.

  • 1. Slow the rotation of the 3 turn down and have the free leg closer to the skating leg before the 3 turn.

    2. Hold the right arm forward, at the moment it is coming around too quickly

    3. Draw your weight up onto the picking foot, (ie pull your self back onto the toe) do not take off until your feet come together.

  • when you do your three turn you have to let the foot come around so its like picking it up like when youd o a scratch spin it makes the jumps alot easier and more better looking!!

  • your arms are too high and your left arm is pretty much behind you try bringing your left arm in front of you and your right arm at a 90 degree angle... good luck

  • nice rotation maybe you should give a little more speed so u can get the distance to make the full rotation

  • ok ur trying very good! but pic a little further away.. always hold ur right arm forward.. like ur arms are in a position of 90 degrees.. try to rotate onto ur left leg not stay rotating on ur right thats why u fall again again and again.. i hope i helped you with this..

  • hey i don´t konow if someone can help me, but my ice skating coach told me to pick song for my perfomance. i actually have chosen two, but maybe you could give me some ideas... please answer!.

  • Hey!!! I have never really had that problem but i can try and help =D Just to help you out for any level, if your not very steady in, pick a slower song, you never want a fast song if you cant do things at a fast tempo, I'm even having troubles with my own song, it's a lil faster (alot) then my old songs, if you can do things at a fast pace I'd reccomend a faster song. Again good luck!!

  • put the pick into to ice and on landing put a skate alittle further back thean the other

  • that's not a toe loop. toe loop is using your left toe pick. unless this video is mirror effect isn't that a salchow?

  • She jumps CW that is why she picks with her right foot

  • check your arm more

  • Make sure your right arm stays in front!! Think of opening a door, it's in front then as you jump you pull it towards you.

Squeeze your stomach muscles in when you jump to keep from breaking at the waist half way through, and remember the jump isn't over until you take the next step out of it.

It also wouldn't hurt to make sure you are following through with your freeleg on each section of the jump. Good luck! Double toes are killer.

  • you're not allowing your right foot glide past your left foot and step up and transfer like an axel, and i think you're kinda.. jabbing your toepick into the ice, just tap it into the ice and dont put it too far around behind you so you're not swinging your righ foot around

  • your left arm is beside u it should be in front of you

i hate double toe!!!! just got it back today!!

  • I'm a lefty, so I take-off etc on the opposite foot to you, so my right arm should be infront and left arm beside [:

But thanks for the advie all the same (Y) =D

  • haha lol so confusing i hate double toe accept when i land it lol:)

  • make sure that u do pick further back and before you rotate make sure your shoulders are in line with you hips (square position) kick threw a little more and you'll b fine

  • Heyy there:)

Your jump is actually not the bad part, it's the three turn before it... try and direct your three turn on a diagonal when you're setting up, otherwise your shoulders will just get to far around for you to get into the air.

    Good luck:)

  • Make sure that you pick further back, also don't drop your right shoulder. Try and not preceive that you are going to fall before you land, punch out the landing and look into the circle you started on. Try and pull in tighter and flex your feet, it sounds weird but it helps you get better rotation in the air, make sure when you are about to land the jump that you point your toes, don't keep them flexed or else you will land flat footed. AND IT WILL HURT!

  • lean too close, unravel yourself to early, umm....try and keep your arms tighter...and uhh...maybe check yourself in your jump.

  • you lean too far to the left

  • kick it all the way thru ! stay tight, dont unravel, and keep those arms close to you.

    good job !!

  • Looks like a toe-axel

  • I'm sure this has been said, nut you're not kicking through at all. and you're over-crossing (?) keep you foot (back) straighter when you take off.

  • bend your knees more, and when you bring your arms in, make sure your leg comes in TIGHT, and make sure you don't swing your free leg!!!

  • your spotting foot is two close it should b further back away from the other foot and also try not to cross behind as this makes the rotation very difficult! but gud attempts keep tryin!!!

  • the better questions is what arent i doing wrong?

  • Yes, just let your leg pass through more and you have it. It should be like a scissoring of the passing leg almost...try doing some big singles with a great scissoring motion (almost like a delayed split single).

  • you pick "in your neighbors yard" which means you need to pick without crossing your feet while picking

  • When you do your double toe loop you are not letting your leg come through. You are trying to pull in too quickly. You need to let you left leg come through. It should almost feel like you are jumping your axel, when your going into the air.

  • When you make the three turn to get into the double toe loop your free leg just go at lest over half a meter, behind your front leg, and it just be behind and not cross, because the the rotation in the air would be harder and the high of the jump would be hard to get, but remember when you jump a double toe you should only make 1 1/2 turns in the air which will mean that you need to turn forward when you are getting into the air! Good luck!

  • try keeping everything more as a check, rather then a swing. and scissor arms more. and when u pick the ice keep your legs farther apart cause u have no room to lift.

  • when u do a double toeloop u hav
