  • Bravo! Meraviglia.

  • Ma non sottolineare gli errori, tanto chi non se ne intende non se ne accorge!!! È quello che mi ha sempre detto la mia insegnante di pianoforte.

  • that was amazing but u didnt follow the sheet music u didnt have any fortes any expression and u dumb down the notes

  • This is a great sound!!! Good performance! Nice!

  • They're some wrong notes, it sound great but a bit weird in some parts.

  • "Yuki is our companion, our ally."

This song fit SO well with The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. The film was absolutely brilliant and touching.

  • @Jl33soawesome That movie brought me here

  • @PorkyBot07 Same! haha. It's been a month almost since I watched it. So great<3

  • those videos with 9 million views were accidentally viewed. slip of the mouse...oops.

  • 184 people are justin bieber fans

  • @emsky2000posse or it proves that that those nine million don't know what good music is.

  • it sounds beautiful

  • Nice, nice, nice...

  • My music teacher had us listen to this.

  • Justin bieber has 9 000 000 views and this song ony 1 000 000 viewers so this proves that justin is better...

  • First of all, thanks for this vid. I just started learning the piano two months ago and part of this song was in one of the learning videos I'm watching and I felt inspired to learn the whole thing, and your video definitely helped. But I gotta ask you one thing: if you're using the sustain pedal, which you have to to hold the bass notes, then why, at :26, for example, do you make a point of holding down the F sharp? Won't it keep sounding even if you release the key? Thanks!

  • @SergioPOE I know its a bit late but its truly personal preference. He (and myself, I'm learning this piece at the moment!) holds the note so that, when the left takes the chord you're not actually playing the F# (or G minor, can't remember) repeatedly. You would have to consciously ignore the note when the left hand chord is played, as many tend not to play that note each time the left hand comes up (I think its in the sheet music aswell). Its just to stop it being hit too much.

  • @SergioPOE Because instead what you get is the sustained note held over 2 chords while the rest of the chord is being played. Although now that I look over the video again it appears he's not doing what I'm doing, haha. You 'might' want to ignore me :D

  • "Man On Wire" :)

  • Music never ages. I love to listen to this song on a rainy day.

  • beautiful♥

  • Zelda is everywhere....

  • So relaxing...

  • Favourite piece. Reminds me of tranquility-peace. Love it.

  • This song reminds me of Twilight <3 Am I the only one?

  • This is truly is a Timeless Piece of Music. Its simplicity is besotting and its performance is wonderfully and masterfully executed.

  • @thefamilyhunt ... Well said!!

@ this performance ... AMAZING!! This song is beautiful:)

  • It's interesting (and a little bit funny ) that if we admit our mistakes we get more appreciated and we dodge the harsh criticism....

    Beautiful song !!!

  • fabulous

  • Am I the only one who goes into a trance when playing this song? I forget all the notes and I don't know what I am staring at when I look at the piano sheet. But great playing anyway. ^^

  • reminds me of kingdom hearts

  • @231dawn i had that same feeling

  • you forgot the second part...and at the end you are slow...but youre a great player! :)

  • This song is so good that the word good is not even the word to describe it its beyond anything else. It pears your heart like nothing else. It makes you calm and fresh

  • I almost cried.

  • Brilliant cover. Sounds great

  • how could anyone not like this tune. It is fabulous

  • 2:37 ;)

  • That was utterly serene. Every note. How come I've never heard this before?! It's so relaxing...

  • Reminds me of autumn trees

  • nice one man sounds great!

  • amazing))))perfect! like this!...anyone knows the name this digital piano?

  • enkiiiiiii

  • ah i wish my mom would put this soothing music when i was little

  • Divine.... and the mouse slided gently and unattended on the loudspeaker icon... and it popped up; "switch off sound" ..... I won't use that functionallity now ;-)

  • My mind is at peace. soooo perfect to The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.

  • thumbs up if go animate brought you here

  • Erik Satie - Gymnopédie No.1

    Music for your thinking hat

    put your hat on ...

  • I like it from 0:00 to 0:40. Then it's kinda ehhh...

  • LINDA!!!!!!!!!

  • WHAT A MASTERPIECE IS THIS!

  • I love this song so much. <3

  • It's difficult to keep the left light enough with this amazing song. I think you do a great job playing it!

Personally I change the 'key tough' setting on my digital piano to more heavy. Then it is easier to play the left hand lighter.

    Keep up the good work!

  • notes for the right hand please

  • i want to cry to this song

  • Oh, mr. serious over here. Not a Star Trek fan huh? Well I learned of this piece from an episode of that show so maybe a little respect for the trek, k bud?

  • i love this song

  • I would listen to this in space if a space worm threatened to destroy the Enterprise and my death was apparently immanent

  • @sonicfuker yeah...not so cute..

  • beautiful priva set

  • I'm happy and glad that i am not deaf.

  • @hardcorelifeforus000 I m happy and glad that Im not dumb and insensitive towards the deaf

  • @Wisdombluetooth i wasn't being dumb nor insensitive just being grateful that i was put in this earth with all of my senses or i wouldn't be able to listen to this type of music. i never made fun of the deaf nor did i insult them in any way.

  • @Wisdombluetooth I'm happy and glad to realize when someone is just making a comment about the joys of hearing, but instead someone idiot thinks he's being insensitive to those who are deaf/hard of hearing and feels the compulsive need to call that person out and make him feel bad just because they think that person was being mean, just so they can show the world that they are a good person and is willing to call out "mean" people and "stop" the hate. Feel better now about yourself?

  • @hardcorelifeforus000 Me neither :) I don't think I could live without hearing the essence of music; music is a beautiful thing...That no one should ever miss the chance of hearing and experiencing its emotions ^^

  • @hardcorelifeforus000 i completely agree with you :)

  • @ussike30 Exactly what I was thinking. This sounds like it should be a minecraft song.

  • Someone should definately edit this one and introduce it to the "10 Hour" movie list on youtube!

  • @ussike30 after reading your comment, i fired up minecraft and built a MASSIVE bridge!:P lol

  • This song deff. reminds me of a Square Enix game... like ha game over screen..... Hmmmm

  • @roxaslover9 Kingdom Of Hearts Perhaps? Or maybe Final Fantasy.

    I thought the same thing.

  • pfft i had highest comment then it disappeared now. pusha....

  • Velvet room! Please tell me, kyro, that you play this song blindfolded.

  • Where can I obtain the exact sheet music for this song?

  • dude can i come over to wherever you are and steal you piano?

  • Hearing this song while being told the world was destroyed and your the last hope for humanity? No wonder my sister & I cried during Leder's speech.

  • This should be taught at piano lessons!

  • Damn, taking the chords with the left hand is tricky

  • pretty easy song for a beginner :). Erik satie i love you.

  • which sheet music did you use for this song? it seems suitable for me, a beginner ~ could you share that?

  • @lisaskywood its much harder than you think, try the book 'Classics to Moderns' 3 :) hope it helps

  • Makes me think

  • amazing its very nice

  • I played this for my 8th grade recital i absolutely adore this song, your an amazing piano player :)

  • Thanks for posting, I enjoyed listening.

  • I love it! you are the best piano player in the world, so romantic... I would like to met you... One day

  • i agree with the top commenter... this song sounds way too major-tonality-happy to me even though it's not... probably from listening to gnossiene no1 & 3 so much

  • Beautiful!

  • I found this thanks to mr beans animated series

  • i remember hearing this the first time when I was in 7th grade, I could never find it again and I began to think I made it up in my head. this was 1997 so no internet.

It wasn't until Janet Jackson's - Someone to call my lover (2001), that I knew it wasn't just in my head. To bad all avenues led to America - Ventura highway.. So I recorded it on my mini disk (remember those) and searched for 6 more years!

Songs only this powerful can take you on adventures... Does anyone share a similar story?

  • @dirty7black7boy7 Im glad you found it ^-^

  • @dirty7black7boy7 I first heard it through Blood Sweat and Tears, who did a great version back in the 70s I think. Then when I inherited my grandmother's piano recently I decided that this would be the first piece I would begin practicing. I found this version, which is perfect for learning, and then I began searching for other Satie pieces and learned more about him. The gymnopaedies and gnossiemes have become favored piano pieces.

  • With Satie, less is more!

  • to all who say this song is too simple to be appreciated ( probably the 175 haters ) ...quiet. What ive learned in life is that if its beautiful, no matter how simple, it is to be acknowledged as so.

  • Oh man we got 175 straight up haters get them out of here

  • this is a masterpiece

  • Is this easy to learn even if you are a newbeginer ?

  • @kei950 sure it is, as long as you can read sheet music ;) it's probably one of the easiest, but yet most beautiful piano pieces ever written...

  • hey man do you have any sheets of this?

  • Thumbs up and reply if you're here because you've played Killer 7.

  • this is amazing. if anybody knows other piano songs in this style i'd appreciate it.

  • @CareyPortnoyBeauford research the late romantic period, debussy's a few good pieces like this.

if you have the time too, look at Chopin and even Mussorgsky

  • @13zedna12 i will, thanks!

  • @CareyPortnoyBeauford listen to erik satie :O Gnossienne # 1 ...really great :)

  • @scherezada1 good choice! i like that one too. just put it on repeat for like half an hour.

  • The piano is the most beautiful instrument. I had to give up teaching myself to play as I simply don't have enough time to. I can't wait to be able to start up again.

  • Merci, merci. Ca m'aide beaucoup de jouer cette piece!

  • This is the song that plays when u talk to Leder in Mother 3! *facepalm* I thought it was familiar!

  • Well played :)

  • hey my friend, the best past about your song, and there a lot of best parts, is that you leave us with a light continuation of the circle, which allows us to continue filling it in even after the silence sets. other versions are good as well, and i dont mean to place qualifiers on music, but i prefer yours.

  • when i hear this i think of being washed up on a desolate shore.i might wander around alone. not looking for anything in particular. just wandering.

  • Thanks for sharing this with us

  • MAN ON WIRE

  • Well done. Very Nice.
