if i had this kind of money i would spend it on a pro full frame camera. The sensor here is too huge and you have to step down the aperture a lot. Also i don't think it has a good iso performance nor a good speed.

It cost peanuts if it is a pro photo company who's buying it. Tax right off, and a steady return from it through studio hire alone.

It's in a different league to Canon and Nikon and its nothing to do with price.

1) Leica should never have told you the price of this camera prior to the review. It would have been a much better review, had you not known.

2) Related to #1, most folks commenting are ridiculing the camera based on the price alone. I guess that understandable since you really never explained "why" the camera is as pricey as it is. After all, you do keep emphasizing the price.

Built quality? how better? i doubt it's that noticeable difference, as Nikon and Canon use weather sealed magnesium bodies.

@albaraki I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ-50. It is essentially identical to the Leica V-lux. Optics and body are the same, the only difference is the software on the camera and the price: the Panasonic was ~$350-400 at the time I bought it while the Leica was ~$800.

1- Testing F-number's, shooting the same scene with different f-number's

2- HDR's

3- Macro's, insects and flowers (close-ups)

I played with this thing at PhotoExpo last year for about 10 mins. Despite the lack of controls on the camera, I found it extremely confusing to use. I guess it's a Leica thing? Who knows. Anyway, resolution is insane though. Nice video.
