Yeah heel-strike is definitely bad. I can't even sit indian-style (no offense) anymore because of it. Hopefully my knees will recover since I have learned proper running technique.
@musiclover5327 thats what i thought too but im only just starting to learn about this stuff so i said id check the comments and see if anyone else said it! thanks :D :D
@musiclover5327 Not only that, but the left foot is dead neutral if you make a line from the the tibia to the bottom of the ankle... Which is essentially a locked up ankle joint. The right ankle is compensating for this by rotating outwards and collapsing more (relative to the right). I'd say suspected leg length difference with R > L
@theTBmovies quite the opposite. runners who heel strike are slow. but its possible to run slow and even walk with mid-food or forefood-strike too. if you would go barefoot you can hurt your heel and knee when heelstrike even when walking, because the forces are much bigger.
@cinereyes watch "Running Analysis of Heel Strike versus Forefoot Strike (Same runner, 2 weeks apart)" first and then "Correcting Running Technique: Forefoot or Pose Running.m4v"
I run on my toes in little to no shoe's, two to four hours a day. Now I have a awesome case of Plantar Fasciitis, Go by running shoe's with arch support unless you love being in pain. Now my custom molded arch support cost 500$ a pair.
Your not meant to strike heel first when running. Shoes that have huge heel support encourage this type of movement, which is bad for your whole body and wellbeing.
Try running barefoot and you will notice that you will NOT want to land on your heel because it is the front part of your foot that you should be using to land on.
well in the vid he said normal pronation are good with different types of running shoe, i think overpronation shoes use extra stability or motion controll
The big shoe companies have us all convinced that we were born with a foot defect which can only be cured by buying their over priced, wage slave produced boots. Shoes cause supination and pronation; they dont cure these "problems". Run barefoot and you will run normally. The current male and female world record holders in the
marathon have horrible foot plants, according to the "experts". This is probably due to their shoes. Run as naturally as possible, using as little shoe as possible.
She's sexy.

@johnnyex not on your toes "moron"
on your forefoot, then your midfoot (arches) absorb the impact then you land on your heel

@MovGP0 lol ofc heal strikes first, all runners do that in low speeds.... heal doesnt strike first only in sprint or fast running...
