Would've loved to hear Mike O'Connor and Cindy Rose sing this at our Talent night. I'm sure they did a great job on it. Cindy went on to become a backup singer for Lee Greenwood. Dan hit #21 in Billboard, 5-24-80. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!
Don't kow what you got until it's gone and that's the case with Dan, I recall back in the late '90's when I was driving around Rockford, Ill. flipping through the stations on the car radio and with static, i caught this song for the frist time in about a decade ad a half. I kept it on that station (whatever it came from) though it was difficult at times. This is a very close second to "Lonely In Love" as far as my favorite DF songs.
I was very sorry to hear that Mr. Fogelberg passed when it was announced a few years back. He was kind of just part to the audio wallpaper to me back in the late '70s & early '80s so I didn't think much of his music. If i had to choose a fave it'd be this one but, even though it starts out promisingly enough, it just sounds like all intro. It doesn't really get off of the ground, much like this video. Go out & get some sun & fresh air, chief.
@tantric38 You made me chuckle tantric -- the irony of it all, you clocked in one of the longest comments and yet you are imploring others to step outside into the fresh air. I can only assume that you posted your comment on a laptop by the pool- otherwise you are a hypocrit! =)

A great song done by a forgotten great artist who died long before his time, and never received the fame, fortune, and respect among the great ones that was due him. But his great music lives on!
Excellent video! Great idea, hysterical. Somehow, it fits very well. Not only is this a great song, but to have Bugs cover it is a double treat! Fantastic post.
I haven't heard this recorded version of the song in years and I was starving for it today. All these other live versions didn't cut it. I didn't really watch the cartoon I just wanted this sound.
@YouWastesTube I know what you mean about being starved for this song, YWT, me too! I hunted it down on YouTube and was treated to this version with Bugs performing it. Great, great song. So many memories. Wow.
A bit sacriligeous...However, I think Dan is looking down from Heaven and having a good chuckle over this and thinking "How clever...why didn't I think of that?"
Thanks from me also for adding this. I couldn't remember the title of this song until searching here tonight. It's been about 15 years since I heard it last!!!
Love this song...cute video.
Rest in peace, Dan...

TOTO's "IT'S A FEELING" was probably inspired by Dan Fogelberg's "Heart Hotel"

Excellent video! I especially love how you synchronized the music with Bugs Bunny's piano, and the orchestra sequence!
I love this song - the world is a more empty place without Dan here.
God speed, Dan!

Another fallen soldier in the nevending battle to make better music. R.I.P Dan Fogelberg. You were a true hero!

This was very cute. Dan was and is my first and all-time hero; he's the reason I started my channel right after his death. Good editing and synching!
Thanks for this tribute of a different color.
Faved for sure!

@YouWastesTube That was when Dan was younger and he could hit the higher notes with perfect clarity.
