I agree breastfeeding should be socially accepted, I have no problem with it. but at any age? I think that's socially inappropriate and wrong, I saw the video of your child breastfeeding at the age of eight and thought that actually it's disruptive and does not allow her to grow up! At eight years old you should be starting to mature, and to see the breast as a way to calm down is not allowing her to develop for later life, I think it's very disruptive for a child and their development.
I am breastfeeding and sometimes need to do it in a public place. It speaks for itself that I won't hang my boobs in someone elses face or plate and try to conceile any detail by wearing nursing tops and sitting in a discreate place. Not only do I not want to embarress others but would feel uncomfotable to have people staring at me. Still I think we have a right to do the most natural thing there is. A baby or child needs to feed and should ideally do this by breastfeeding!
Breast feeding is the most natural thing on the planet and I believe that the law shouldn't tell a woman she can't do it in public.
However, I do believe that women need to be a little modest about it (don't just whip out your breast and let the baby have at it). Nowadays there are great nursing bras and tanktops, blankets and covers for that purpose.
If a woman weren't breast feeding and she were to expose her breasts in public (even in a non-sexual manner), she would be ticketed or fined.
this is the weirdest thing i have ever seen. Sure thing guys feed your kids whenever they need it, but like buddy boy said earlier be modest. peeple dont get naked and pee in the streets, i dont need to see your boobs. genuinely. and "breastfeeding at any age" - this literally disgusts me, will someone please arrest this woman. or at least tell her how much of a mentalist she is. its not right to breastfeed your kids wen theyre old enough to walk. get a grip.
Breast feeding is the most natural thing in the world and personally I wouldn't be embarrassed by seeing a woman in public breast feeding, however SOME women who want to breast feed in public do not make any attempt to do in a modest way so as not to cause embarrassment to those around them. But I feel sorry for any man who happens to catch a glimpse and then gets shouted at, called a sex pest, pervert, rapist, etc. I've seen it happen.
agreed. Be modest when you breastfeed. Urination and defication are natural too but people don't do that in front of others if there is any way of having privacy.
"The Bill will also introduce rights for breastfeeding mothers to feed their babies in public."
Of course, I understand and respect that. I feel that I should have the right to take my dick out of my pants infront of anyone when the need arises for me to have a piss. I wonder how many people will enjoy watching me piss??
Its my right as a man and anyone telling me I am wrong is discriminating against me because I am a man.
OMG! Get over it already! This is the first generation that has a problem with breastfeeding, talk to your Grandma, she breastfed and no one even thought twice about it. GET OVER IT!
spitzbully...? Breastfeeding in public is rude behaviour? How is nurturing a child bad behaviour? You sound like a child. You need to get over yourself and resign yourself to the fact that women who breastfeed arent going to go away and hide when ever they need to nurture their child. YOUR comment is really petty and immature.
Well for the simple fact that we as the public feel a little creeped out and uncompfortable of seeing a babies mouth on a private part like a breast. That is child pornography if you as me and it does send a bad message to society
Didnt you mean to ask "How is nuturing a child AKA being a public exhibitionist with the childs expenses bad behaviour?? You can sugar coat things but we aint that dumb
I'ma have to disagree, I think it's perfectly decent.
A breast is a "private part" because that's how you feel about them, and that's house society labels them. They're used for nothing more than nurturing, what is so child pornographic about that? All mammals do it.
To SoulCheese77: No there is nothing decent or classy about exposing a full bare private part in public such as a breast. Ok but what does nuturing have to do with doing it in public?? Do you feel that nuturing a child with full breast exposed should be acceptable in public veiw?? And no we are not mammals my freind, we are human beings, and human beings are born to be civilized than animals. And if you think lowering your standards to an animal is anything great, man where is your class??
Nurturing has everything to do with it in public. When a baby cry's because he's hungry you give'm his bottle. OR HIS BREAST. They are not "private" parts so to speak. They are only perceived as such because they turn you on, they have nothing to do with sex in any way. (Except arousal for some =D )
Why do you think youtube allows these video's? Because it's not sexual!!
FYI everybody: If you ALL spam this little shit and give him thumbs down, He'll disappear. He only wants to see his shite up on the screen. Deny him that and don't even bother to argue and he'll crawl back into the troll-hole he came from.
first off...denying someones rights to breastfeed in public is not racial discrimination, its not a gender discrimination, its not a religion discrimination. Its just rude behaviour that needs to be stopped, England is a down right liberal sick country
Breastfeeding in public is rude behaviour and its a bunch of attention grabbing hateful feminist. Put all these women in jail for breastfeeding in public and watch how fast this sh*t stops
Veronika, I love you so much! Well done honey. I'm getting a bit emotional as Evie's four in a few days and will stop breastfeeding. I still do it in public if she wants it and no-one has ever said a word to me. They know what they'd get if they did! Breastfeeding is the single most important thing a mother can do for her child, and I fully appreciate all the effort you put into changing our culture's belief system. I love you! Shazzie x
The best way to feed a baby (in order of most beneficial to least):
1.Mum feeds baby at breast as often as baby wishes
2.Another woman b'feeds baby as often as baby wants
3.Baby is fed expressed breastmilk
4.Formula is used This is to ensure the optimal physical and emotional development of baby. B'feeding is medically proven to be superior in every way.
The campaign song and other songs can be found in the book Fit to Bust, a celebration of breastfeeding to raise funds for Baby Milk Action. It's available from the author Alison Blenkinsop now (look for linkABle online), and in bookshops from 1 August. RRP £9.99
All it reinforces are the myths that breastfeeding beyond 6 months isn't necessary. We need ONE law that protects ALL breastfeeding mothers. Why have an age limit???? We'd be celebrating the bill if it weren't for that.
you mad pack of idiots.
