I enjoyed this quite a bit. I thought the precision (sp?) was great! Rather than uninspired, I felt it was more about being almost mechanical...I think the word used earlier was robotic. Great job!
I cant help but agree with Menuet....this performance is so stiff, the music dosnt help....too robotic....I was a goth once...I'm a bellydancer now, and this film dosnt excite me at all, theres good goth music out there....choose the music better next time.
I love the music! The venue was on Halloween at a rock club. The audience loved it. As I stated before the moves are intentionally robotic to fit the mood of the show. We also danced that night to Living Dead Girl by Rob Zombie. It fit the venue snd it appealed to our audience. I appreciate your opinion and respect it but I know what we were shooting for and we were right on target with our audience. :-) Can't wait to see your videos on utube. :-)
The timing is great and, I love the fusion. However, the previous comment is correct, none of you look like you are having fun at all. It's so...stiff as if you are just doing the moves deliberately. Belly dancing is about being free. Even the goths smile ^^
Thanks for your comment. In the beginning of this dance we were going around each other like sizing each other up. The moves were done intentionally stiff and robotic like. Smiling would have taken away from the mood we were trying to express through this dance. Which was suppose to simulate an alley, note the painted brick wall background. (though not that convincing due to lack of stage props) :-)Thanks again for taking the time to comment.

It's gothic bellydance... they aren't supposed to be grinning and crapping rainbows. Lovely work ladies!

I'm impressed you could get your timing down so well. However i think the dance looks...uninspired. No one looks very excited to be doing it.
