    Simply superb...

    gr8 expressions,stamina & control. Really God's gift.

May God Bless u with more opportunities to serve Odissi Dance...

  • Treasures of India are eternal. From Romania with love..

  • odissi features like thribanga and rib cage movements unique to odissi itself...it's not waist movement pushpanjali

  • Beautiful.

  • simply awesome

  • i just love this pallavi.i think you have brought out the sinuous beauty and the sprightly fast paced sparkle of the raga just perfectly, matching the mood of the music.i find it addictive.i think i have watched a hundred times. is that sartho sir's voice?

i think you are a wonderful dancer.

  • I think ur eye movements are very unique and lovely! Must be because of your acting experience.......I love the way you dance! You are my odissi idol! Really and truly.....I love everything about this video- the song, the colour of the dress, your fluid movements, grace, expressions and most of all..............................YOU!!!!

  • Absolutely phenomenal

  • damm, so hot, sexxyness...

  • so beautiful and expressive!

  • Thanks for posting the whole piece !!

  • What a performance., so fluid.........who is the singer

  • I think the singer is Debashish Bhattacharya. Nandini, can you kindly confirm?

    Beautifully performed.

  • Thank you. The singer is Debashis Sarkar. Based in Kolkata, he has been singing for Odissi for almost 3 decades. He has also composed some great music for Odissi including the Durgastuti.

  • When you elongate the fingers do you imagine yourself doing it or did you train your finger muscles?

  • @hippocampus23 it starts with imagination, and the muscles follow!

  • @nandinighosal : I love this music. Can I get it anywere?

  • lucky are the people who have talents like these. Its so pleasant to eyes....very fluid...

  • i studied Bharathanatyam and Odissi.....i think each are great unique on it's own

  • @nrityaus to a common person like me why does Odissi look more graceful to eyes. I dont know anything at all about these dances, but Odissi looks somewhat nicer, or may be i dont know what to see...

  • Beautiful

  • I am watching it again and again. She is so graceful !. Bless you !

  • yes she has done most gracefully

  • beautiful...she is very well dedicated and rehearsed....

  • Odissi is the most graceful dance compared to the famous dance traditions of bharatanatyam, kathak, mohiniattam and kuchipudi. ...what do u have to say?

  • I think each one has is graceful in its own way. I love odissi and kuchipudi, but I love Kathak the most as I am a Kathak dancer. Each one has its own elegance.

  • Keep up your dancing...you are the people who have taken a pride in our culture and kept it alive. I wish you the best of luck and hope that you give the coming generations this rich treasure.

  • Agreed 100%

  • I agree with the other person. Each classical dance form has it's own grace, even Bharatanatyam. I learn both Bharatanatyam and Kathak, but I love watching Odissi.

    She gave a wonderful performance!

  • @pushpanjali to a common person like me why does Odissi look more graceful to eyes? I dont know anything at all about these dances, but Odissi looks somewhat nicer, or may be i dont know what to see...

  • In Odissi, the dancer uses her waist a lot. Her movements are very fluid, soft, delicate, like flowing water. Look at the way the wrist, waist, hips, neck, and arms move.

  • Uses their UPPER body. Waist UP (back of shoulders, rib cage).

  • Agreed!

  • she is so beautiful and graceful, amazing!

  • it's beautiful!!

  • this is so beautiful...the music and the expressions!!

  • Good performance.Very nice..

I suggest you upload the same in 'Dynamycdesi'.It is a online talent contest site for people.

  • awesome

  • Great Performance! Indeed mesmerising.

  • Very well done.

  • Wonderful performance .. i juz love the facial expressions .. gosh .. beautiful choreography ....bravo ..

  • I love this version of the raga. Very beautiful and nice on my western ears. The man's voice is beautiful. Lovely dancing- I love your tribang/tribhang.

  • You are a beautiful dancer Nandini! Abhinaya is reminiscent of a Bharatnatyam Nayika, but somehow you manage to balance the poetic grace of odissi with the eye movements of bharatnatyam. After a long time I have seen such 'bhavas'.

  • Great! One of the world best odissi dancer.

  • wow! after such a long time it seems like i'm seeing a nice pallavi posted on you tube. You are beautiful! Gorgeous!

  • you are fabulous
