@stephe2defr The short answer is an emphatic YES. I have seen a few hotel buffet style efforts in my time but the one at Guararymina is slcik, professional, hygeinic, well serviced and the food tastes great. There was a recent change that has reduced the food islands to two large islands. If you don't fancy what is on the islands, go over and see the chefs who cook food right in front of you. You can revisit the food counters as often as you like. Or have both. You won't be disappointed.
I think rooms 400 to 413 are alongside the pool area with 500 to 513 above.
There are some family rooms overlooking the pool but I haven't seen those.
It depends on what you want I suppose. The sea views are generally a sideways view and there are some rooms below pool area but overlook the sea directly. And, of course, there are rooms that are not so fantasic, however, you could email the hotel in advance to see if they will have a room to your liking before you just turn up.
The lobby bar re-opened, opened 2 weeks ago today. I got back Friday, Its a fab hotel, I was in 4034 which is aat the very top right hand sea view. I'd recommend that room to anyone :)

Just got back from there yesterday and the hotel is well good and the best hotel I've ever stayed in. I tell u what though, the lifts are really annoying and slow and go to every other floor besides yours and the bar in the lobby area was being rennovated at the time and the pool tables weren't outside because of rennovation work to the outside area. The pools are great to help you cool off in the hot weather but not so good coz you can only take lilo's and inflatables in the freezing cold pool.
Thanks for the comment. We go back there in Feb 2011. Its a shame to hear that the bar in the lobby area was being renovated but I imagine the other two bars were operational. You are right about the lifts being slow, although it is a small trade off for such a splendid hotel.
You are more than welcome. Glad I could share this impression with you. Just tell Francis @ Guayarmina. You never know - he might give me a discount next visit.
i went 2 years ago to this hotel, the rooms wer not very nice and all smelled terrible, the beds wer all covered in mould, the food was the same thing every day, thats just a few of the things we found when we got there lol.
I hope you enjoy it. Tell Francis (the manager) that you watched this video (You never know, he might give me a discount when I go later in the year :-))
I have been also I have been 3 times and just got back about 3 weeks ago and I LOVED IT the hotel is AMAZING i wouldn't recommend going i would FORCE people to go

Yes it will be hot. Tenerife is just off the East coast of North Africa and benefits from the winds coming off the Sahara Desert.
