You will also be impressed with my dick when I shove it down your skinny afghan throat. Do something useful like the rest of the scum from afghanistan, make a suicide bomb for yourself and your family and meet 'allah' you fucking idiot
garmin is alot better on the n95, it actually lets you use your n95's internal gps as with tomtom you still need to buy an external gps as it will not work. try garmin works well on my n95
i have tomtom running on my e65,when i use the demo, its very jerky, but when im actually out and about on the road,it runs very smooth, maybe its just jerky in demo mode?
Дурачки американские, или какие вы там ещё? На 6680 идёт лучше всего по причине аналогичного процессора как и на n95, но экран поменьше и разрешение меньше, следовательно для обработки изображения на экране требуется меньше ресурсов.
I agree that the poor performance of this version of TomTom on the N95 is partly due to the screen resolution being much higher than the 6680. However, if you look at some of the 3D games for the N95 I'm sure you'll agree that it is more than capable of running TomTom smoothly once the code is tailored for its hardware.
I hope that V7 (Navcore) is available for Symbian soon!
I have a Nokia 6630, tomtom installed and it runs very well... My girlfriend have a Nokia N80, also with tomtom and it's also fast as the nokia 6680 in the image. I think the problem is where the program is installes, and if the card is fast or not. My tomtom only becomes slower if i install extra POI.
And by the way, to Nokia 6680 is tomtom v.5. To Nokia N80,N95 is tomtom V.6... wich make me think this is a stupid comparsion. They aren't comparing the same software, only the map...
I have also owned a 66380 and an N80 and have run TomTom on both. The 6630 gives the same performance as the 6680 which is what would be expected as the phones have the same guts.
I don't agree with you assesment of the N80's performance. I found it to be about the same as the N95
Please be more specific with the versions that you are talking about. TomTom v6.020 (8300) works fine. As of 6 Nov 07 there is no newer version available for Symbian 60 3rd Edition.
The model that I use is BT-74R. Plenty of sources on ebay and retail, just Google it. It still works extremely well but there are newer systems available.
I'm not familiar with any receiver other than this one so I can't comment on your problem with the Navman receiver.
Matthew, I have a 6682 and would like the details of how you got the GPS input into the phone, as well as where the TomTom software for the Symbian OS can be obtained. Thanks.
That's correct, but when approaching junctions (especially roundabouts) it's useful to see the layout of what's ahead. The voice commands halt the map completely so the map ends up being way behind your actual position. I'm sure you appreciate how annoying a poor frame rate is and you're just playing Devil's Advocate...
As you can see, N95 TomTom without any POIs loaded (on the right) runs far better than the version with speed camera POIs loaded (middle). However, the 6680 version with POIs gallore is still the best.
fyi, the POIs loaded on the 6680 are: airports, diy stores, entertainment, food & drink, petrol stations, banks, London underground stations, speed cameras, clothes shops, supermarkets, electronics shops, train stations.

you could maybe deactivate 3d navigation to improve performances.
By the way TomTom is the best, on my n95 runs great! I personally believe it's the best navigation software.
