  • This cake doesn't look very tasty..

  • instead of using bottles for the middle, use paper towel rolls cut down the middle and stick three diapers in the core

  • Tooo cute!!!

  • @klaritydawn Thanks :)

  • LMAO at guy in the back eating cheetos at 9:10

  • @thenadz yeah.lol.

  • @thenadz i think he was eating nachos or doritos or something O.o

  • Hah! I thought this was gonna be a real cake xD But this is still awesome :D

  • @JaniceMaiden666 Thank you :)

  • love you cakes I want a goose cup :D

  • @RawrMeHard1 Thanks! :) I don't have goose cups, but I will have some cups and spoons available soon

  • This look really good!! I am starting doing this as well but I have one question. How are you sticking the items to the diaper caked?? Are you just using double tape?? And how do you attach your center piece (stuffed animal) to the top??

  • @jcgooden06 It is not attached--so the mother may use the diapers. Just move it carefully. I tied a wire around the stuffed animal and stuck the wire down the center of the cake... you can just plop it on there once you've arrived and set the cake down

  • very beutiful im starting my self i made 2 one for boy one for girl but im not that good thaks for the tutorial!!!

  • @bebegilz you're welcome :)

  • Wow this actually looks simple. I will keep this in mind. I really like the way you added onsies and burp clothes. My son has that sea horse toy and he loves it!

  • @godseeri I am thinking of making a one layer cake for Brittany :)

  • Oh this was so delightful!! Such great ideas. Favorited.

  • @Beachmama57 Thanks :)

  • What did you use to cover the cardboard?

  • I have watched sooo many of these tutorials and yours makes the most sense to me! Thanks so much for sharing! :)

  • @parrishd1 Thank you & you're welcome! It makes me feel really good that it's the best on YT. :)

  • Do I see headphone wires? lol

I see Scott! I hear Honi!

The end result was very cute. How are you getting it to your chunka-lunk nephew?

    Kind of bulky to mail.

  • @yoyomax12 LOL!! Yes you do :)

I found a box that would fit the entire thing, however, decided to take the top level off and placed it on the rest of the diapers I didn't use. Scott keeps getting new vids of the chunk but we can't figure out how to get it to me just yet. It would have to be a private vid to friends only as the chunk's daddy has a weird YT stalker..

  • LOL I thought this was going to be a recipe. Shows how much I know! Thanks for enlightening me to the concept of a diaper cake =D

  • That is soooo cute! Love it! Thanks Beth. Your other diaper cake is here too... going to go watch that one also. haha. Hugs!

  • Awesome as always. I love this the duckys are so stinking cute!

I was thinking would one of those short sized bottles of baby powder and a short baby bottle be the right height? Or would it just end up the same size? The 2 short ones seemed to work well though so maybe that is the perfect size.

Wish I would get invited to a shower all ready so I can make one of these!

  • @Ultimatecruegirl I'm going to stick with one big, one small next time, like I should have. One is too tall, the other is too small and you really need that stability in there

  • Oh what a good idea with the bottles with the candy..I will show this when I get to Sonja's :) What great ideas Thank you Beth So glad you put this up. I need ribbon :)

  • i love how many times you say ginormous in here.

  • So cute! I'm going to try this next time I have a baby shower to go to. =)

  • This is a great idea! You are so crafty. I love that! :-)

  • Great idea to use other things other than the diapers! Turned out really cute!! Blessings, Ang

  • Aw that's soooo cute! Love the Rubber Ducky theme! They will love it too! :)

  • oh yours is cute.:)

I used the little thin baby blanket to put around instead of the ribbon that was cute too

I made one about four years ago for a friend at work. she didnt want to take it apart.lol

  • This one is really cute! I love the ducky theme. Lots of rolling, huh? I see Scott in the background munchin away!

  • Wow that's quite the project Beth. Well done as always!

  • Yay Beth. I made one last month for my coworker. It was a big hit. And I had a blast making it. Your vid was the best of all.

  • @hippadippa Thanks! I know a lot of people were saying that in the comments section, but I do see quite a few of them out there now. Once upon a time the only ones out there were people who wanted to sell theiir cakes

  • Beth this is a cute design. I recently did a large 3 tier diaper cake and the Mom had to transport it back to another state with her. I used a foam "noodle" made for kids to use when swimming for the center post all the way from bottom tier to top and it worked great ..

  • @Dlorezzz Pretty cool idea. I get the bottles for so cheap tho at Walmart. They were around 70 cents a piece, I believe. Goes with the theme too!

  • Love it! This one is so cute. Could you use a receiving blanket as a center post if you didn't want diapers? Maybe not stiff enough... Love all the cute embellishments. I'd love to have received one of these. Oh wait - paper diapers were really huge and terrible in those days. Never mind. So cute and only as expensive as a case of diapers unless you want it to be! And let's face it - that baby is going to need diapers for another year and a half at the VERY least. LOL, no rush.

  • @thizizliz Yeah, not stiff enough. You'd have to reinforce it with something else. However, if you make it where you plan to have the party, like at your own home, you don't have to worry about that.

  • Turned out so cute! I did a google search out of curiousity, you know these cakes sell for a $100 dollars or more. I guess it does cost a bit to make but lordy a hundred bucks!

  • @darlynn12 The diapers were around $20. If you just use those, you can keep the costs down. You can use a soda box for the base. The two bottles were around $1.40 for both. Ribbon was around $9. Then whatever embellishments you use. I went to Ross and got all of mine. Total cost was around $50-60.

  • @CookingAndCrafting Thats not bad! I made a diaper cake using your first vid for my neice a long while back. I only did the diapers, ribbon and bottles with a stuffed animal on the top. I didn't recall what it cost me at the time b/c it didn't matter as much then ya know! I've got a while for Angela though so it will be nice like yours I'm sure.

  • Awww. Such a cute diaper cake, I really like the duck theme :) Don't know where you find the time to shop for all this and then make it. Scott, I want some snacks too lol

  • @ArgentineShamrock bwahaha you may have to wrestle him for his snacks ;)

  • i see your brother. -=)

  • @SpcE4Wife haha Yep, you could hear him coming home, but he is well trained that when he sees me talking, he is to zip it ;)

  • I have a question for you? Is there anything you dont do??? lol love your videos.

  • @jasmine629 Thank you! I cannot speak French even though I took a year of it in high school ;)
