Since, Crypton has the most successful VOCALOIDs, they will make 3 more appends and a new VOCALOID currently named "CV04" and is a male.
I like Neru's voice deep, but... Not TO deep. I think her voice in the song 'Honey' (She has a solo at the end of the song) is PERFECT for her! If you have never heard that song before, you better go listen to it and watch the video now! :D

@BlackNekoHinata I completely agree! The other popular option for Neru is Low-pitched Rin (as apposed to high-pitched Miku.) which is what I've been using. It fits her image much better, doesn't it? I've also heard a few Neru songs in which Luka was used as the base. :D I guess it doesn't matter a whole lot WHO was used to base the song as long as the pitch is LOWER.... Right? xD
@MimiYuzui All of my Miku songs have been lowered for Neru. Miku's voice gives me a headache. I definitely think the lower pitch is better suited for Neru. Leave the high pitch to Miku and Rin :]
@BlackNekoHinata I have Miku's Saihate lowered for Neru. xD I tend to avoid using Miku's voice because it has that unique.... throaty-ness to it? Which is hard to get rid of, no matter what I try to do with it... so I use Rin more often for that reason. ^^;
I should try it with Luka.... I've heard a few versions of Neru based off Luka that worked fairly nicely. :D

i really like neru and because im an alto and most of the girl vocaloid songs require your voice to be able sing high, i like rins voice lowered as nerus voice (and it sounds natural :D)
I agree. I'm not an alto, but I understand where you're coming from. And Neru has a tomboy-ish personality, so I don't think her having a really high-pitched voice fits.
Neru doesn't have a voicebank, so she is not a vocaloid, or a utau. If you find a song that says she is singing it, it means someone else changed the pitch of an original vocaloid's voice.

@fuzzylala3 "Tsundere" refers to a specific (and mostly typical) personality type. xD Someone who is "tsundere" is really a total softy who cares about people but acts like a tough person that you don't want to mess with. A decent example might be Kagami from Lucky Star :D She's always acting so tough and indestructible but she really does care a lot about her friends. ^^ I often see Neru as the Tsundere type. :P

Neru is a downpitched RIN, guys. They'll sound similar, but Haku and Neru don't sound the same.
Granted, the Rin!Neru heard in the Nico imports was made directly through the Vocaloid program (the gender-factor's been modified), so this isn't perfectly Neru - but it does sound different from Haku.
Also, I know there's a Haku and Neru "Reverse Rainbow' floating somewhere around YouTube, that might be good to check for comparison (the song was a Miku and Rin duet).
(continuation) - different pitch, and it's unrealistic to have a drastic pitch change and have them be the same Vocaloid/UTAU/ect. For example, a soprano won't be able to actually hit an alto's notes properly, and you can't just go get a new set of vocal cords. So it's more logical to make a spinoff than to rip-off a voice with a pitch change and say it's 100% original, you know? But yes back to the video itself, it's really nice.
Woo, alto Neru. 8D This fits her so much better than higher pitches, she /is/ tsundere after all. And her name has to do with her being lazy and sleepy, I don't think a hyper WOOHOO8DD voice would fit, I mean really. I... really hate that one though. xD I highly prefer the low-pitched Rin-based variation which is what I post. @MimiYuzui I think the low pitched vocaloids and UTAUloids are easier to know what they are saying. I think both ranges are good, but for Neru a low-pitched voice suits her best.

@BlackNekoHinata I completely agree! The other popular option for Neru is Low-pitched Rin (as apposed to high-pitched Miku.) which is what I've been using. It fits her image much better, doesn't it? I've also heard a few Neru songs in which Luka was used as the base. :D I guess it doesn't matter a whole lot WHO was used to base the song as long as the pitch is LOWER.... Right? xD

@MimiYuzui All of my Miku songs have been lowered for Neru. Miku's voice gives me a headache. I definitely think the lower pitch is better suited for Neru. Leave the high pitch to Miku and Rin :]

@BlackNekoHinata I have Miku's Saihate lowered for Neru. xD I tend to avoid using Miku's voice because it has that unique.... throaty-ness to it? Which is hard to get rid of, no matter what I try to do with it... so I use Rin more often for that reason. ^^;
I should try it with Luka.... I've heard a few versions of Neru based off Luka that worked fairly nicely. :D

I was in a cosplay group & they were all "LETS DO VOCALOID" & I had no idea what they were talking about... so they introduced me to Vocaloid & I got all obsessed.... xD So when we were trying to decide who would cosplay who... Well they showed me a video with Neru & I basically spazzed out & went "OMGITSALENCOLOREDMIKUCANIHAS?" & the more I learned about her, the more I liked her. xD Now shes my fav!

@Riikathezombie01 Oh! Then I should let you know -- Neru, because she is originally a Fan-made Vocaloid, has no official voice! What I post for her is my own personal voice preference for her. If you look around, you'll also find videos with her voice super-high-pitched and probably Miku based. The voice I use is Low-pitched Rin. (Sometimes I use Miku too but it only works for some songs.... xD) Hope that helps! :3

@eyeLiner001 Neru is some sort of fanmade Vocaloid representing trolls in the Vocaloid fandom. she's neither a true vocaloid, nor an Utau. they call her a Boukaloid (fireproof vocaloid) and she has no official voice. Haku is a fail Miku. some Vocaloid users failed using the software and got a weird lower voice, and it become its own character. so she's not a true Vocaloid or Utau. they call her a Voyakaloid (fail vocaloid).
i'm not really sure how they got so popular, but...

@Listella Uhh, I don't think so. Neru is a fan-made vocaloid who became so popular that she was adopted into the Vocaloid family. Lily is an ACTUAL NEW VOCALOID with a real voice bank and everything. Technically speaking, I guess, Lily is a "Real Vocaloid" and Neru is fan made.

i really like neru and because im an alto and most of the girl vocaloid songs require your voice to be able sing high, i like rins voice lowered as nerus voice (and it sounds natural :D)

Neru doesn't have a voicebank, so she is not a vocaloid, or a utau. If you find a song that says she is singing it, it means someone else changed the pitch of an original vocaloid's voice.

@fuzzylala3 "Tsundere" refers to a specific (and mostly typical) personality type. xD Someone who is "tsundere" is really a total softy who cares about people but acts like a tough person that you don't want to mess with. A decent example might be Kagami from Lucky Star :D She's always acting so tough and indestructible but she really does care a lot about her friends. ^^ I often see Neru as the Tsundere type. :P

I love you for doing this with the lowered Rin voice, i've been looking for a version like this. It fits her better than the others, i'd think.. good job on getting the pitching nice, too(it's weird when people make it too low and whatnot, i'm glad this one is at a good pitch imo x3)

Neru is a downpitched RIN, guys. They'll sound similar, but Haku and Neru don't sound the same.
Granted, the Rin!Neru heard in the Nico imports was made directly through the Vocaloid program (the gender-factor's been modified), so this isn't perfectly Neru - but it does sound different from Haku.
Also, I know there's a Haku and Neru "Reverse Rainbow' floating somewhere around YouTube, that might be good to check for comparison (the song was a Miku and Rin duet).

(continuation) - different pitch, and it's unrealistic to have a drastic pitch change and have them be the same Vocaloid/UTAU/ect. For example, a soprano won't be able to actually hit an alto's notes properly, and you can't just go get a new set of vocal cords. So it's more logical to make a spinoff than to rip-off a voice with a pitch change and say it's 100% original, you know? But yes back to the video itself, it's really nice.

Woo, alto Neru. 8D This fits her so much better than higher pitches, she /is/ tsundere after all. And her name has to do with her being lazy and sleepy, I don't think a hyper WOOHOO8DD voice would fit, I mean really. Anyhow, going to what an other person said, they're fanmade Vocaloids or an other subspecies such as Voyakiloid (Haku) or Boukaloid (Neru) when they've gotten a recolour/slight outfit change/voice pitching, it's really not lack of creativity as much as it is wanting a different . .

OMGIKNOW, high-pitched for her just doesn't work. (Sometimes I have to resist the urge to run ramped over the stupid high-pitched videos......... x_x) Low-pitches work MUCH BETTER in my opinion so I use low-pitched Rin as my Neru. xD (ALTHOUGH I've seen this done with Luka as well. Might give it a try. xD)

@KS1398 Well since she hasnt got an official voice, there a lot of different fan-based variations, one being a super-high pitched Miku. I... really hate that one though. xD I highly prefer the low-pitched Rin-based variation which is what I post. So... yes, one option is high pitched but I dont like it so I support the low-pitched crowd. :B
