GREAT! Bought this vinly single recording when it was first released; sold in a blue paper sleeve, as I recall!? SOUNDS as good today as it did then...ok.
I am 62 and remember this song so well, also took a long time to find, what fantastic memories, good and sad, girl i was with with this song died of cancer.
How could i ever forget this song,i met my first love in Basel and everytime i hear this supersong i have to think off him and that after more then 40 years.
Heard this song for the first time this morning on 'Sounds of the Sixties' on Radio 2. Wonderful. Can't stop playing it now. What I'd give for a time machine ?. I love my memories of the Sixties. Happy days and all the love in the World.
I remember this great group back in the sixties, and personally new Robbie the lead singer. They started off performing in a pub in the East End of London called the "Mildmay Tavern" lovely memories! Roy Wild. London.
i also remember this group in the sixties and remember robbie but personaly new brian bronson another member of the group i used to go to the mildmay tavern on a sunday and help them set up when they were originaly called exit
Not sure if u saw Consortium pre-1969, but we went on gigging until 1980. Slightly different line up, but still with Robbie singing. We had an album released 2006, and it's available online & on iTunes. The album is called Rebirth. It was re-released in the USA on 10 Feb 2009, as one track - 'It's Not Easy' - is featured on a skateboarding DVD out there called 'And Now'. This track has caused quite a stir in the USA. See our MySpace website.
hi just to say i knew the band pre 1969 when before all the love in the world was released not sure if the line up was the same but robbie was lead singer and i remember a single he made called listen to the man
This was actually on the PYE label when it first came out in the 60s, I loved it but never purchased it. I did download it from limewire a couple of years ago, but my computer went down I lost a load of great tracks, this being one of them.
anyone know what music download site i can find this in, limewire doesnt have it and i seriously need it, its ruining my life not to hear it everyday on my ipod
i dont know where you can download this but it is available on cd from amazon for about £6.00 for 27 tracks{listen to the track the day i missed the train its even better than this track},they have 2 cds out the new one also has a demo of this plus another 26 tracks of excellence.Peter,London
Would you believe this was played on radio 2 today. Brought back great memories so I thought I'd check out youtube and amazingly there it was. Thank you BBC and JuergiHilda.
In 1969 the Marble Arch label (PYE's budget series) issued "STARS OF '69" Compilation LP. This track is included...there is a Stereo version out there - worth checking out
PR
ps. oh, this album also includes the JEFFERSON (ex-Rockin' Berries) hit "Colour Of My Love"
Thanks JuergiHildi. You've just made an old man a little bit younger. Just like woodpecker4u I am also 54, but when I hear this song I am about 15 again.........1969?
Exactly the same as Woodpecker - I've been humming and singing this song to my self off and on for nearly 40 years - but couldn't remember who it was by. Great to here it again. It stirs up great memories of a byegone time - peace man!
I am 54 years old. When I first heard this song I was 16. On a number of occasions over the past 38 years (!) this song has been swimming around in my head. But haven't heard it until it popped up here. Truly great song.
Could do with re-recording, with slightly tighter production. Maybe short instrumental break in the middle. Could be successful big-time in 2008.
Thought I'd never hear this again. I'm 59, and I remember it oh so well. Thank you YouTube, Vevo, and all fellow Tubers out there.

I also bought this when it came out - it was indeed on the now long defunct Pye record lable.
The light blue lable still bears a Cider stain from the first time I got drunk at the party I went to the day I bought the record.
Happy days...
