my friends always brag about how good their G&Gs are but they all have had problems i have a Cybergun Thompson and a JG M733 the only problem i have had with either is that the thompsons bolt came off but it was easy to replace, it doesnt make sense to me why they say they are so good
i have the black version with a 4200 big battery, and with big battery shoots bout 5 rounds per socond and the whole gun is stock, and i put a rangefinder scope on it and this gun got me into the airsoft team the outlawz which is the biggest airsoft team in SO Cali, its definetly worth the money, just put a scop on it and u will be unstopable at long range and CQB.
Thanks for the comment. I was pondering on making one, but considering this one covers nearly everything about the gun, making another review would not be worth the time.
If you want to become a marksman, you obviously do not need this gun, there are many other choices. With that being said, this gun would be an excellent choice for a marksman rifle.
Ok best would be to go with the CYMA M14 then. Though the build quality isn't excellent like the G&G, i'd still give it a 3/5. On the plus side it is cloned from the TM, meaning many aftermarket parts. With 300$ you can afford the CYMA M14, mounts, mags, optics, and internal upgrades.
well actually i really am waiting for the JG AUG a3 to come out cus it has the rails plus i just like the bullpup so ill get a nice long barrel and itll be medium priced so i can upgrade
I, too, was wondering how difficult upgrading this rifle is. (Disassembly and reassembly, tightbores, and what not.) Would it make a decent DM/ Target rifle?
Depends on if you've done it before. I wouldn't recommend it if you've never "been inside the guts" of your weapon. In some cases, and with some retailers, you may also void the warranty by doing so.
Sorry to reply so late, for some reason I didn't get an email from youtube saying that you commented.
With that being said and done, to answer you question: Disassembly and reassembly is moderately difficult, nothing to major, but will require some intermediate skills especially around the gearbox. Hop up and barrel is extremely easy, gearbox not so much, but still not as hard compared to others. I will note it is a bitch to close because of the shape.
I don't have any problems handling this gun and I'm 5'7". After a full day of airsofting though, it does become a bit of a dead weight. I advise having a sling for it. If you play woodland like I do, it can become a bit cumbersome at times.
if you're looking for a battery and charger for this, just buy the entire gun package at ASGI (if you don't already have the gun). the only bad part is that the package only comes in black or fake wood.
But strength-wise I have no real issue with heavy weapons, I'm just asking about your experience with the weapon's length being difficult when taking cover/positioning yourself...
5'11" is more than enough to be able to maneuver the weapon well. I'm fine using the weapon to take cover, but I have learned a lesson the hard way, which is to not go in close with the weapon when fighting someone with a CQB type gun. I tend to keep a 80 ft buffer between my self and the OpFors.
Hello, sorry for replying so late, I've been gone the past few days. To answer your question, it all depends on your height, weight, relative strength, and your environment. Give me some info on that criteria, and I will try to give you the best estimate I can. For the record, I am 5'8" 159lbs, and I am fine playing in a desert/woodland environment.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is a crappy plastic handguard. By full metal, I thought you meant "everything metal on the real gun is metal on this gun". But, if you get a RAS unit, it replaces the handguard. Also, RS handguards are like 30$.
Is it full metal and wood? I really want a full metal/wood gun, cuz my gun right now is plastic and feels... creaky. It is a TM FA-MAS F1. I really want a M-14, nut can't decide which one to get. Plus I want RIS, do they make a Rail System for this particular gun?
Thanks for the comment. I'm not to proud of this video, I will probably remove it once I get my actual video review up. Make sure you buy the full metal GR16, much better.
Unfortunately its US law, so to get these guns past customs or even sold in stores, they must have an orange tip. I would look better without the orange tip, but I am not going to do so, because we have had some encounters with Police inquiries before.
Yeah that's exactly what i meant, we have like over 20 real guns in our house one of them being the m14, when it first came, i put the clip in and when i wanted to take it out i had to play around with it, but now i got the hang of it.
Of course im being bashed and criticized. I was the enemy of half the people there. Some people liked me and some people hate me. The people that hate me are using this as an opportunity to

The fact that clones are low performing AEG's which leads to less strain on the parts inside the mechbox is why your guns seem more reliable.

how do you find a bag for this beast??
it seems really long, can you get a bag?
toastertomattoe 3 years ago
I picked up a 48" rifle bag for it at Dick's Sporting goods. The rifle fits in quite snugly.
CAwillruletheworld 2 years ago
u can go to walmart to find a shotgun bag for $10
or a shotgun case $20

is G&G really good?
toastertomattoe 3 years ago
G&G is pretty good, yeah.
CAwillruletheworld 2 years ago
What are the threads on the rifle? I'm guessing it's 14 mm but is it clockwise or counter-clockwise? Thank you for any help.
AlCapwner93 3 years ago
14mm CCW I believe, though I can not get this damn flash hider off.
CAwillruletheworld 3 years ago
Boil some water, stick the orange tip in, and use a pliers to pull it off, or you can just blow-dryer it and pull it off.
SinkingBattlePanda 2 years ago
Which is better CA m14 or TM m14?
serzh123aaa 3 years ago
CA in my opinion, but the TM wins hands down accuracy wise.
CAwillruletheworld 3 years ago
Then why did you get the G&G?
serzh123aaa 3 years ago
Because the G&G is better than both of them.
CAwillruletheworld 3 years ago
Oh, sorry I thought I asked you if G&G m14 is better than CA m14. Ok thank you.
serzh123aaa 3 years ago
if i would to get a gun for a marksman position. should i get this or the GR16 a3?
Slickbullet813 3 years ago
Choose which ever you think looks better in your opinion. They will both suit the position fine after some upgrades.

I would hope that your gun shoots faster than 5 rounds per second. Mine shoots 19-20.
CAwillruletheworld 3 years ago
how heavy is this particular m14?
pirateninja99 3 years ago
~9.5 pounds empty.
~10 pounds with battery and loaded mag.
Mine right now is ~11 pounds because of all the accessories I have on it.

The SOCOM 16 has more of a tactical look to it, with its shorter barrel and unique flash hider, though I prefer the full length.

I handle the length and weight of the real steel Garand very well, do you think I would have any trouble with this?

Hm. yeah. That sucks. you know on the real m14 the clip is tricky to take out, because it's tightly locked in the chamber lol.
