I have a Nexus One! I had an iphone for 2 years and was not happy with apple's nazi-control. They didn't allow for Flash in their browser which cuts off alot of content on the internet. And they forced you to use itunes. To simply change my ringtone, I was forced to use a 3rd party "hack" software that i had to download. A big hassle for something small. Not impressed. Only con of the N1: the OS buttons and what to press aren't obvious. You have to "learn" it. My mom would be oblivious.

@overtcovert The Nexus One is not subsidized for AT&T, which means you don't sign a contract that will pay for the phone. I don't know if you need to get a contract in order to have AT&T service, I don't think so. The Nexus One is also available for T-Mobile, both subsidized with a 2-year contract and unsubsidized. Other carriers also have Android phones, some not as good as N1, others maybe better. Verizon's coming out with a powerful phone soon..

The Iphone is slow and you can't do much stuff without jailbrake. I also used a 3gs before but finally i have a mobile Phone with a 'fast' Web Browser. Also the media player is more powerfull i think and of course do not forget the 5 MP camera, noise canceling, and much more things you don't really need :-)

The only negative aspect is the battery life

Suck it Apple and AT&T. I've dealt with your crap voice network and communist attitude toward hardware for 3 years. Got my N1 a few days ago - faster processor, better resolution, flash, interchangeable battery, widgets, notification panel, customization, and on a network that moves at 7.8mbps (compared to att's average of 1.8mbps).

This apple fan is going goog.

What I'm saying is apple has final approval on all apps, they have a built in kill switch if you do something big-apple doesn't like, and their OS isn't open source. Google's main focus is to make everything open source -- which is why android is now running on 20+ device models while apple's OS is still only running on 1.

It's not something that can be argued with opinion - it's hard fact. measurable things. the processor is 70% faster, the screen resolution is 2x as high, the battery lasts 3 hours longer, the camera has a flash, the SD card is expandable to 2x the size of iphones memory, the capacitive touch screen is 20% more responsive... and more. the only people saying the outdated iphone is better are people who haven't used an N1.

The price break down goes like this. New customer to T-Mobile get the phone for $180 w 2 year contract. Existing customer upgrade for $280 w 2 year or pay full $530. I bitched and got T-Mobile to go $180 with my existing account but I had to turn off BES at that time. So I went without BES for the weekend and got the phone on Monday after a Thursday afternoon order. Love the phone!

Hey I talked to customer retentions and told them I have been a customer for a long time and I think I deserve some sort of customer appreciation and sure enough they qualified me for an upgrade just like that. Customer Retentions is the place to get directed to when you want something because if you threaten to leave its their job to retain you. Just a FYI instead of dealing with other branches that don't do crap for you.
