  • I remember when I was about 10 years old, I had a lot of nits in my hair. When my dad washed my hair, he poured very hot water on my head, used the lice-killing shampoo, waited a few minutes, then rinsed my hair with very hot water. After using a towel to get the excess water out, he had a lice comb and combed my hair very hard. The comb was full of lice eggs. I haven't had a problem with lice since then. I cut my hair very short nowadays too, so the lice don't like to reside in my hair anymore.

  • I have lice

  • why am i watching this O_________O

  • Whats that on my leg.....

  • Comment removed

  • Can dandruff also make your head itch? kuhz I have dandruff but I never see lice, and my heads like itchy.

  • @imacowoink1 yes i have dandruff and the dandruff itch too

  • @imacowoink1 yes i have danruff and i stared scratching and my grandmom began cheking for lice

  • I just treated myself with lice shampoo. I was sitting in class and I leaned over the book and one of them fell off my head! I almost had a heartattack. I assaulted it with my ruler which made everyone look at me like ''what are you doing...?'' so ofcourse I didn't tell them. I just went home, got the lice shampoo and just treated myself 2 times...

  • @cookie4me Do they die on there own?

  • Whos head is that? Just in case i know who to avoid for a while.

  • @WammyzTardz lmfao

  • Female adult lice usually attach their eggs one half inch from the scalp. There can be several hundred nits in the hair of your child. You can use a magnifying glass to help distinguish nits from dandruff. Nits are oval in shape and are securely glued onto one side of the hair shaft. The nits usually stay attached to the hair- even after hatching.

  • OMG THEY'RE EVEN TINIER THAN I THOUGHT!! *itch itch* GET OUT X(

  • easy, each time your child has a shower, make sure their hair is well conditioned and then spend 10 mins or so with the nitty gritty comb or specialised lice comb raking through the hair. Worth 10 mins each shower time to keep on top of it

  • Omg , is lice in everybody's hair ? How did it get there ?

  • Ieuwww so GATVER

  • My daughter is in 4th grade. When school is in session, her hair gets washed twice a week. It stays just dirty enough that the lice don't like it. We've never had lice at our house. Yay for dirty! :)

  • @tgrwp42j12 is 100% correct. Lice do not live in oily or dirty hair nor do they live in the heads of people who use a lot of product. So no you don't have to be a "dirty person" to get lice. Please educate yourself before you leave you insulting comments. Sorry I had to say that but those comments are unnecessary.

  • das nasty

  • just use a good vackum that sucks well easy fix shop vac works well

  • i like the way you respond to all the ignorant people in a respectful manner

  • your daughter has blonde hair lucky you there easier to find

  • if you get these your just plain dirty.

  • @eccehomo0205 not really lice love clean hair >.>

  • dagn i just cant imagine having bugs in my head

  • @xxnaomipatriceordxx your trina make a campfire in a child's head dear?? why would someone use something so dangerous like diesel when they have many many many other less dangerous things to kill lice???? would someone ratherr put mayo in a childs head or diesel?????

  • ay props on the video i never knew lice looked like that

  • lol african americans! just say black! lol you're trying to avoid racism by saying african american but its a ridiculousy long word! its like saying caucasian american instead of white! lol caucasians dont get offended when you call them white! same goes for african americans im thinkin! lol

  • how does lice feel? does it itch?

or does it just feel like theres just somthing crawling on your head?

people in my family got it i was just wondering how it felt

  • I think i have lice on my eyebrow

  • The easiest way to get ride of the lice and to make sure they are dead even the eggs you dye ur hair and if ur a person who doesn't dye ur hair get the color of ur hair noww so then people wouldn't notice. Thats what i did when i got them once.

  • there is a special comb to remove lice! and If I had lice I would shave my hair lol these things are creepy

  • Ugh, this is making my head itch :\

  • lice=itching

  • EEEEWW!

  • Tea tree oil. I had lice for...i tinhk 2 months. We used 2 bottles of tea tree oil and BAM. They were just gone. You drench hair with it then wrap it in a towel for a few hours then rinse out and they just kinda...burn or go away. Im not sure but it does work. =]

  • Like Months ago I had Lice and I hated it it was so annoying and it was in the school holidays and aghhhhhhhhh

  • GROSS!!!!!!!

  • I do believe this was a racist comment and isn't very nice... Also, using diesel (or kerosene) is dangerous - children have caught on fire hours after it was thought the stuff was washed out of their hair... I'd rather deal with lice for a few days than risk my child catching fire..

  • @bubblybabs

Actually lice prefer the high acid of dark skin so bleach is the best way to go; 22% bleach solution and 3% hydrogen peroxide will bleach that dark skin pearly white and you'll never have another lice in the house. One quick cheap homeade solution. Thanks.

  • @IronHorsez88 Hmmm, never heard of using bleach before...

  • @bubblybabs Who made a RACIAL COMMENT ? Please explain

  • @bubblybabs THATS WHY U STAY AWAAY from fire duuuhhh my mum used to use deisel all the time and it worked like a charm!!!! just make sure to stay fire and its true lice free! it was my mum who was the very first one to come up with it then the idea spread!!

  • @xxnaomipatriceordxx lmfao bwahahah your mother hates you what loving mother would experiment on there child with diesel?????

  • LMAO

  • @rc75214, I'm pretty sure lice in African Americans is uncommon. That might be the reason most of your African american friends don't have lice.

  • @rc75214 u racist little BITCH

  • @rc75214 yes it was my mum who was the first one to come up with it

  • watching this made me itch my head.

  • ah i love grooming people & picking the lice off lol

  • @tipsytinkerbell that comment is soooooooooooo totaly gross and why would you do that to ppl euh

  • making my head itch.

  • ew i just got rid of it theres still dead eggs in my hair but my mom checks it everyday my cousin gave it to me ugh horrible!

  • OMG! i hate lice!!! friking annoying!

  • bahhh...just shave your head!! Then light your head on fire! That will get rid of the lil blood suckers!!

  • Okay, you first!

  • I though I had lice and thought about shaving my head and wearing wigs but then I learned my head way pealing, which was why my scalp was itching and I had white stuff. BIG relief

  • @bubblybabs i agree with you... demarcor38 should do it first and put it in youtube

  • @bubblybabs been there done that

  • rofl1

  • people who think like you are the reason these things can spread so easily...shampoo wont harm them

  • the shampoo doesn't work well.

  • The retard is clearly you.If you knew anything you'd know the COMB is KEY to getting rid of lice. Not the shampoo.

  • The creme rinse (which is what I used, but you could use oil or shampoo - the creme rinse is just thicker) is the medium that holds the lice so they aren't able to crawl away or hide as easily... I also very strongly recommend people get the metal lice comb for delousing... I do believe you could have worded your response a little more intelligently...

  • Dudes its pretty simple.

Lice can't endure relatively high temperatures for a long period of time; As long as I remember, its could be 117-122F over 10 minutes, or 176-194F over 3-5 minutes. It equally works for head, body and pubic lice, and eggs as well.

So if you ever need to get it off your body, just go to the sauna (bath even better) with preferably dry heat, and in a matter of hour it'll be over.

  • that doesnt help. The temp may be high engh to kill them, but sweating creates a water film on your skin, which is way cooler than the sauna temp, so when it gets 2 warm they just flee 2 the cooler zones. The only thing you can do is using lice-shampoo for 2 weeks, then look for 2 more weeks if evrythngs ok again. You have to inform evry prson you had contact with about the lice, wash all the clothes you wore during the affection, wash your bedding, hoover your house to avoid another affection.

  • its not a fun thing to deal with, but to protect yourself, you have to not use anything that is not yours- no sharing hats, brushes, etc. keep your head away from others, and tell your kids that too. Lice isnt life threatening but it can make you lose your mind.

  • I've had lice once the size of carpenter ants, I wish I knew what kind they were, they were really big... Lice is so EASY to get rid up. Just bathe your head in olive oil, vegetable oil, baby oil, ext...if you're a girl, like me, just tie your hair up, wear a shower gown for two days just to be certain you're killing them all and then just wash your hair. Before I tried that, which was something I heard a while back, I tried two NIX treatments that burnt my scalp so bad and it didn't work.

  • If you have lice for a while, they get huge... I caught our infestation early - that is why they are so darn tiny and hard to film... Our lice were resistant to NIX and my daughter became ill with the treatment... That is why we first tried oil on the head, then went to creme rinse/conditioner...

  • I understand that, but I had it twice before this time. I was a child the first two times and the third time I was like 11 or 12. I just don't know why I hadn't realized it until they got bigger. They were shaped oddly. They were very long but thin. Are there different types of lice bugs?

  • I know there are lice that are resistant to different chemicals but I don't know about there being different species of lice... Lice are long and then when mature...

  • Hmm, I guess the third time of having them was the longest I had them then, I guess.

  • they reproduce on your head......

  • Are there different types of lice? That was the third time I had them, I was a teenager then. They were very long but skinny.

  • Good video for info. My girl before we started homeschooling would get nits regularly. The only way to get rid of them is to wash hair, use conditioner and comb through throughly every day and then search through the hair section by section and pull each egg of the hair. Easy for me as my girls hair is a good colour for being able to see the eggs. Comercial nit lotion doesn't work, only hard reg. work by parents. Bring the nit nurse back and parents should be made to see vids like this.

  • i had head lice all year i did about 50 treatments i even had to have a head cheak by myself and the teacher says i have them but i can't find any

  • WOW!! They are bigger than I thought they would be.

  • ive gotten lice so much before, and im the only one tht gets it! i get so scared when i hear about it:(...im like contantly checking

  • lice don't actually have a preference they see a head...they move...maybe not oily.

lice a louse is sitting there with a monacle and top hat saying, "ohhh nooo not that head" please! stop trying to make yourself not feel bad! ya got headbugs!

if you say they prefer clean hair...ok...how about children are filthy little critters that love to stay huddled up with one another sharing combs, hats, soda bottles, shoes...like little rats!

well, whenever i have children...prly be the same.

  • Valid points... However, they proliferate better on clean heads... Look at a dirty head and imagine trying to wallow around in that sticky grease... But, you are right, lice don't care what head they go to, if there's a hair, they will crawl onto it and hopefully that hair will be attached to a head!

As to the children being like little rats, hmmm, you don't like children, do you?

  • clean your hair wiredo

  • Do I have to?

  • I dont have lice what does it feel like? Does it hurt?

  • No...

  • i think its better to just die yuor hair the same color

  • Dye your hair the same color as what? The lice? Yeah, that's real smart...

  • o,o'' how u even get lice anyway not showing? geezz some of u are really dirty

  • Hope your squeaky-clean butt gets them someday so you can eat your words...

  • someone help me i cant get rid of mine...ive tried three treatments and none worked.. :( message me

  • Three lice treatments? Within how much time? A week of each other? Or a month from each other? If you do the commercial lice treatments, you need to use each application w/in 7-10 days of each other to kill any nits that have hatched - otherwise, you will keep becoming reinfested...

  • well now ive done more...still not gone. and i usually do them week affter week...

  • u use vinigar mouth wash and oil for 2 hours each and use a hair net with no holes to suficate the lice!

  • i saw a tiny brown dot on my son's scalp today..not on a hair., but on his SCALP. I was like OMG, so i gently scraped it off with my nail and it came off effortlessly. I squeezed "it" between my nails and it FELT like a pop, but didnt really hear one. I have now washed his hair and then ran a louse comb throught it and found NOTHING. No nits, no lice...nothing. Not even dandruff. Im wondering what that one brown spot was. It certainely wasnt a long oval shape like a louse. Any ideas?

  • A tick perhaps? A flea?

  • LICE LIKE CLEAN HAIR DUMBASS!!!!!!

  • i HAD lice but I got the treatment and now their gone

  • that is nasty u need 2 shave all of your hair off and start over

  • That's the ignorant way of treating them..

  • i would just shave my fucking head

  • If you want to look like a skinhead, go ahead...

  • yeah ok lice go on cleaner heads more often than dirty heads. nice try though.

  • hell yeah, kill those motherf*ckers

  • lice dont just rub away

  • go to your school nurse or to the comunity center near you, they should be able to tell you weather you have lice or dandriff.i recomend the comunity center because they can give you info on what to do and what not to do for headlice.if you want to know anything else just message or comment me.

  • If u have long hair cut it.

  • There's no reason to cut your hair, you just need to be diligent when removing lice... Lice live at the scalp, not at the ends of the hair...

  • lol i would use the shampoo if i had lice! lol its easy just scrub away =-P

  • ah lol...no u can simply use shampoo to scrub them away..i had lice onece and u need to bye this special thing and brush...

  • Had you read up more, you would know that lice are becoming resistant to the special shampoos...

  • if it gets bad enoughh you cant use it. it doesnt get all of them.

  • any way to get rid of them quickly like any medicine and take showers every day right? cause i have long hair unfortunaly and i cant see them please respond

  • ugh i get all gorssed out when i watch it!! what if i have it!?!?!!?! omg!!! D:

  • i don't have nits but for futur referense would putting like vodka or some kind of strong alcohol in your hair work?

  • how do you get lice anyway?

  • EWE this is fucking nasty just looking at it

  • Hey umm how do i no if i have lice or dandruff? its kinda yelowish-goldish color thing and my classmates go some flaky white sheits!plz respond :(

  • my mom and dad r seperated and my mom has lice so i dont go to her house ive told her shes tried everything any advice?

  • i think i have pubic lice! :( It's very fucking itchy as hell. i told my mom but she just thinks its a rash...but thats a symptom of crabs...how do i get rid of it!?!?!?

  • See my reply to you on one of my other youtube lice videos...

  • diiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrttttyyyy :|

  • Iggggggnnnnnooooorrrrraaaaannnnntttttt!

  • hows that fucking ignorant?? it is dirty , and your dirttyy because you dedicate your life to trying to catch lice that way you can film yourself getting rid of it and put your dirt vids on youtube... DIRDY DIRRRRD

  • lol lice go on clean heads...

  • i would not be calm at all i wouls be freaking out

  • You didn't see me before I stared filming...

  • I don't know if I have lice or not.

MY head randomly starts feeling itchy sometimes.

Is there any clue son how to KNOW you have lice?

  • I GOT THE WILLIES JUST WATCHIN

  • i would HATE to have lice

  • nice finger nails, darn those boogers are small, I personally have never had them but my sister got some somehow and we used some conditioner and combed her hair... Her's were alot bigger

  • It's hard to have nice fingernails when you wash your hands 50 times a day and use alcohol scrub as well... Yes, these lice were tiny, I caught the infestation in the early stages... Lice can be FAR larger than these...

  • do you wait for the cream to dry?

  • No... Apply the cream rinse then comb through your hair with lice comb... Actually feels good... Rinse the comb then go through your hair again... Usually the larger lice come off first then the smaller ones as they get pulled away from the scalp and get tangled in the cream rinse... Then rinse your hair which will also get rid of some lice that got caught in the cream rinse...

  • i hav lice now and i hate it!

  • Aghhh, I hope I never get it!

  • my cousins constantly had head lice, as children we played together often. my sis and I only got them twice before mom cut off the visits, but I still have nightmares to this day about lice. (this is 15+ years ago)

  • Yes, I had to cut off visits from one of my sons friends for that very reason... They treated her by cutting her hair off but never themselves (parents) so she got reinfested over and over again...

  • argh i hated it whn i had it

  • once I got nits i used head and shoulders it got rid of lice (:

  • You probably had dandruff - H&H does NOT get rid of lice...

  • ummmm...do you relize that there in lice in their hair...instead of vidoetaping it why sont you take ( pull ) it out.....dumbazz

  • Um... Duh!

  • lice can be brown-ish to. or light-brown/yellow.

  • True, true...

  • i got lice right now im so freaking sad

  • you have to buy a special shampoo.. and do not let it come to your eye.. and someone has to comb your hair for half an hour in the shower also after the shower..

  • Not everyone can use the shampoos due to becoming ill from the poisons w/in them... And you have to comb your hair out each day and redo the shampoo again in 7-10 days to kill any lice that have hatched because the shampoos do not kill the nits (I haven't found one that does)...

  • yes i know they never kill nits.. that s the problem..

  • my daughter got lice for the first time aged 10...i used Derbac M liquid an it says it kills lice and eggs. I put it on her head Saturday and Sunday morning I got one out that was almost dead adnd since then none. So I THINK it works....hope so

  • The kid in this video is infested with lice!!!

  • Lice dont like dirty hair because it makes it hard for them to move through the dirt....cleaner hair is much easier for them
