  • You shouldn't be trotting on your first lesson! You should be focussing on posture and controlling the horse first! I have to say though, he did very well!

  • @all4pharlap way to be a jerk. it was his first time on a horse.

  • @all4pharlap

Erm, this was his first time on a horse?! Yeah at 5 you may have been riding for a couple of years meaning you could jump, i'm sure you looked exactly like this on your first lesson because i sure know that i did. Actually, i could hardly sit properly on my first lesson. Everyone learns to do things at different times and at different speeds. There was no need what so ever for your comment, how rude do you want to be?

Anyway, he looks soo cute! Is he still into riding? :) xx

  • @misshorserider1995 hi, thanks for your comments. yes Daniel does still ride, but he's 9 now and prefers the tractor and labouring work at the yard lol

  • He's really good for a first lesson!

  • He is brilliant! Isnt the girth a bit too loose??

  • thanks. the girth wasnt loose, i'd never allow him on horseback if it was loose. its got a girth sleeve over it which makes it seem baggy

  • nice riding your horse is soo cute and the cat is cute too!

  • aww he is dead cute xx

  • hes extreemly good... first lesson!!! i wish i rode like that on my first lesson lol

  • i was trotting on my first lesson

and like 3 lessons later i was cantering

  • Yoo Chat So Much Shit!,,

Yehh Yoo Were Well Cantering On Your 3rd Lesson,,

More Like The Horse Bolted And U Fell Off,,

    Nob!

Come And Say It To Ma Face And Just Watch Mayte,,

Youll Soon Have Something To Moan About!?

  • hews prety good for his first

  • aww what a lovely little position he has! he'll be a cracking wee rider one day!

  • It is great to see young men riding. How cute.

  • is that seriously his first lesson? Woah, that is fab - hope he keeps it up.

  • thanks, yeah it was his first lesson, he'd only ever sat on a donkey b4 this. hes with me most days at the stables but hes more into grooming and mucking out at the min, its probably cos its winter haha

  • He's a good little rider!!

    Good position and all!

    :)

  • why is the pony wearing a cruppet, i no way ther used for but it seeems painfull

  • in what way does a crupper seem painful? it has a sheepskin cover to prevent rubbing on the underside of the tail, its fitted correctly, and is required for that particular pony. i dont see the problem

  • What are cruppers used for??I always see them but I have never learned what they are used for...

  • theyre mainly used to prevent the saddle from slipping, if the horse/pony is particulary rounded. even the best fitted saddles will move about, the crupper is just an aid to secure it

  • Ohh so its pretty much like that extra girth on western saddles.

  • yeah pretty much the same idea

  • Oh ok thank you!!Tell Dan hes a good rider!

  • o lol

  • wow you are very good. do you still ride. you look great

  • Thnaks for your comment! we both still ride, although my son (in the vid)is still learning and prefers mucking out to riding lol

  • yeah my brother doesnt like riding but he loves going to the barn and watering and feeding and mucking and all taht stuff

  • my son loves riding he just doesnt love me giving him lessons, i shout! haha

  • good job the kids going to learn responsibilaty from a young age w

  • Yeah, thanks. i wouldnt have it any other way, he's being brought up the way i was... the responsible way. he's the same with money, he wants sumit he saves up for it :-)

  • Aww hes so cute and such a good little rider :) have u anymore vids of his progress?

  • that was very good. he looks like a natural! does he have his own pony?

  • no, neither of us have our own although i have owned 3 in the past. he just comes with me to help out and if theres a free pony, he rides then

  • gorgous horse and hes pety good!

  • Thanks :-)

  • aw, he is cute! He rode well too! I didn't look that good when i first started

  • aww thankyou, somethings he takes to straight away, and this was one of those things, he loves the horses almost as much as me! lol.

  • Aww bless he did very well for a beginner. I remember the days when I was a first timer. I used to scream my head off. LOL.

  • haha, im surprised you stuck with it, usually the screamers give up. lol. i remember my first time without a leader, i came back hanging from the underside of the ponys neck, and when it stopped i landed in a huge puddle of mud! lmao

  • What a little gentleman he is, so cute.

  • he isnt always! lol. but he adores being at the stables and helping .

  • lol aww that was good! due south theme tune! gotta love it :) looks like hes gonna be a pro

guess what? i got my hair cut! :O

  • i love that tune, had to use it sooner or later lol. Ih great, i wanna see, are you doing a vid blog on the new hair do??

  • i might do lol we shall see, its a great tune, and a great programme

  • he seems to have the same confidence around animals as i do, which is good!

  • He's done very well for his first lesson. Tell him well done from moi. :) That cat at the end, how tame. My old cat was fantastic, but touch its back or tail and she'd have you for it. :D

  • just told him, hes chuffed to bits. thankyou. that yard cat was following dan all over the place, even when he had his packed lunch it was sat with him! haha
