defintely, the man is doing a great service by brining afront songs which many new indians may not be aware of, but frankly, manna dey had been a far superior classical singer.. mainly because, in those days, classcial singing was more worship and less work, unlike today.

Both singers are absolutely amazing. I have never heard such a brilliant copy of Manna Dey, and I didnt think it was possible. I had not heard of Roop Kumar before this show, but he is truly amazing. The tabalchi is also out of this world. The whole performance is unparalleled by any other performance on any other show.

Kyaa Baat! This was wonderful. Not many singers can pull of Tarana nor pronounce Taala Bols so well. One thing, I hate that Drum Kit when the Keherwa was being played in the body of the song. It ruined it. We shouldn't tamper with beautiful classical music. :)

Indian aesthetic tradition at its best! The couple keeps faithfully to the spirit of the original while giving a distinctive twist to it with an extra facet or two and by injecting the duet feature toward the end. This is a very difficult Manna Dey classic, yet by the way the two singers render it, one feels the vibrant presence of an invisible dancer before them . The original song of course was performed to the moves of a very lovely and accomplished dancer. Bravo again!

Dont rubbish any art. Please listen to what each has to offer and enjoy and learn from each. 'I am the best...We are the best. Every one else is rubbish' is a mindset that is reflective of deep seated inferiority complex.

I keep hearing 'our music is the best', our 'bollywood' is the best. Seldom do you hear the Cubans, French, Poles, Iranians rubbish other forms of music or movies. The international acclaim including oscars other film industries win is far more than India.
