Go to a AHDRA event, most of the time the front wheel stays up for the first 1000 ft. The top fuel Harleys are making around 900HP and 1200 lbs of torque. Not just Tommy grimes all of em.....They run 6.20's at 230+mph ......
raw horsepower versus friction - there's not much down-force on the front tire - inertia and mc's turn more by decreasing radius of tire contact (induced by leaning) come into play too.
When they pull good , these monsters pull the front wheel all the way down all the time,Tak went through the traps with the front wheel up and got a false reading of 245mph !! backed it up next run with a 230 !!!!!!!!
i'd like to see all the people talkin crap on here jump on one of these things... I've been around drag racing my whole life, driving the last 10 years, and i wouldn't get on one of these bikes... ever
