Nice video and setup. Obviously some people haven't tried jointing 14+ foot boards on a 6" Jointer or ripping 4x10 sheets of ply on the table saw by themselves. It's almost worth just getting this for those tasks alone.
What are you doing. The timer has a true edge, run it through your table saw then plane it smooth. You have a bloody workshop, the Festool is a site saw. It does its job well, it seems like you dont know how to use a workshop tools. And your work bench looks shite, how do cramp too it?
@adamthewellhead I buy band saw slabs that have bark on the sides, not a true edge and would be dangerous to run on a table saw. The track saw takes the place of a gang saw or straight line rip. The track saw is a cheap and fast way to edge one side of the board. I think you are talking bout my cut table, which is used primarily for breaking up 4x8 sheets with the track saw and the smaller peaces then go to the table saw
@DarlingtonFarm I have been working for a friend all week and after using his 12,000 dollar sliding table saw, I understand what you mean by "cheap and fast way to edge..." Also, while not as fast, the festool is about a million times safer.
@pigeonfarmboy I think it would depend on what you use it for. If you use mostly sheet goods id say ditch the table saw. If you do a lot of ripping or small repetitive cuts the table saw wins. If I had a sliding table saw I don't know if I would need the track saw.
nice i have that saw its great also have domino / and 1400router also excellent you should get the ro150 sander fantastic the rolls royce of tools ! good luck with your workshop you are so lucky to have all that space !

Why did you decide to go with the 75? It seems better suited to very thick material.
ootsam 3 months ago
@ootsam Mostly for the ability to cut thicker goods. On occasion I cut thick 8/4 and 10/4 wood.
Thanks

@ootsam Because of just that I make a lot of slab furniture and being able to cut a 3 inch thick slab in one pass is nice
Thanks

How much did you pay for the ct 35 and the ts 75 ?
TAKINCAREOFBUISNESS2 3 months ago
@TAKINCAREOFBUISNESS2 If you buy them as a combo they are about $1200. For sheet goods I would also get the 3000mm guide rail Think it runs 300-400.

What are your thoughts on getting by w/o the table saw now that you got the track saw?
