I grew up in the Kansas City area... still live in the metro area, and grew up listening to Shooting Star, Kansas, Ted... all the great midwestern bands and our radio stations let you know that this music was coming from our neighbors! I'm GLAD I had the oppritunity to hear this music when it was all fresh, and still sounds fresh today... EXCELLENT music!
@printerdonls328 I used hear them all the time on KOME Radio in San Jose CA and I LOVED them from the first note - and still do! One of the most underrated Rock bands EVER. I miss the early 80's Rock scene !!
This should have been the REAL theme song for Wrestlemania 27 instead of that lameass "Written In The Stars" by Tinie Tempah ft Erik Turner that WWE chose for the theme song. Just proves how DUMB the WWE really is these days. They wouldn't know good music if it bit them on the ass & died there.

I think it's hysterical that some people are calling CaCa & Katy P rock...WTF??? This (as in Shooting Star) is rock & roll and yes it ROCKS, which is far more than any of today's artists can say they can do...ROCK OUT!!

@MetallicBill The only station that plays any Shooting Star almost on a regular basis is Sirius/XM's Boneyard or Music Choice's Classic Rock channel. Dee Snider gives these guys a lot of love his House of Hair. "Breakout" was an AOR hit for Shooting Star back in 1981. Almost every major AOR station played them back in the day. They should've been huger. Best 80's rock band to never hit the Top 40 pop singles chart.
@bucky468 We HAD House of Hair syndicated, but no longer that I can tell, for some 5 years or so, I feel it was the best thing going, and they take it away, like so much before. I am in the doldrums about the life prospects these days! NOT looking too good
@MetallicBill I wouldn't lose too much hope. Yes rock & roll is down but is it out? I don't think so. There are still good newer bands that are trying to stay true to their classic rock roots like the Foo Fighters, Airbourne, Wolfmother, HellYeah (featuring Dimebag Darrell's brother Vinnie Paul), Black Stone Cherry, the Darkness, Silvertide (who sadly broke up recently) & a few others like them. Even Jack White's 2 bands the White Stripes & Raconteurs are trying to be different from the others.

This is an old KSHE KLASSIC!!!! I'm only 31 but I can remember back when KSHE had this in their regular rotation, late 80s- early 90s. Badass song.
