theres very litle cheating on PS3 and xbox because its very hard to hard there consoles. for example. I put the homebrew channel on my wii in litterally 3 mins. downloaded bannerbomb and that was it. im now hacking. On xbox and PS3 its alot harder to mod. And xbox and PS3 games have better coding than wii games. All hacking really is is either the ocarina or gecko cheating app changing the coding of the game to give you how ever much VR or as maney items as you want.

I seriously doubt ALEX was hacking, I mean when I saw him I can only re-call him having a Mega Mushroom or a Star, it's more then likely luck he's got big powerful items, like in the first race Overhazard you got a lot of Triple reds and Mega Mushrooms, and in the second race you got a lot of Mega Mushrooms and stars, it's just luck I think, nd if Alex did hack surely he would get himself more points then he had, he was practically hovering over bottom place
In the previous matches, ALEX was getting 10 to 12 points from Balloon Battles, but he's not as good at Coin Runners. The previous match had 6 players in Funky Stadium, and every time I came near, I was hit with a Red Shell. It happened five times; I was never hit with anything else.

From my experience on PSN, cheating tends to be non-existent in comparison to Nintendo Wi-Fi as well.
I guess as the Wii's become so easy to hack with the Twilight Hack common knowledge, and easy enough to get your hands onto it that a lot of people decide to exploit it.
Nintendo have patched the Twilight Hack, but you can get around it by simply not updating your Wii. I think there are even ways to revert hardware updates these days so you can actually go back and install the hack even if you've updated your Wii recently, although I'm not certain.
I played yesterday a few races, and at the third one I think, appear a guy called METALSMAHER. That was crazy lol It´s a pity that he dissapear at the second lap. At the end all racers won 150 points XD
By the way, I almost forgot: Nintendo IS making an attempt to block cheaters from going online, and Mario Kart Wii is the focus of it. I'd figure the main problem is the lack of a direct reporting service so the opponents, for the most part, don't know how tell on them.
I know someone who decided to use an Action Replay to see what would happen. She was blocked from going online about 7 months ago, I think, and she hasn't been allowed back on. Her Wii was marked.
I love how epic it was that you beat 3 people almost single handedly.

VR means Versus Ranking; BR means Battle Ranking. They're the four-digit numbers you see at the end of each match.

I have 2 things to say.
#1: Hackers = Wimps. They can't fight with regular items because they are afraid they will lose, and they will not fight with dignity.
