Slander is basically telling lies about someone for the purpose of damaging their reputation, and selling those lies as fact. Misrepresenting someone to make them look bad is illegal.

While I agree that all majar religions are cults, most of the theologies behind them are not near as destructive as the CoS. Also, you only have to tithe in Christianity and Judaism, not give them your home and first born, and you a free to leave at any time without braimwashed members ruining your credit rating and picketing your house calling you a child molestor.
