  • so, there are plenty of all motor hondas that can beat V8's. i know they arent all bone stock. that wasnt my point. but if you read the first comment i left you about a 260hp civic that weighs 2414lbs, when theres a civic with 210whp ( thats approximately 235 to the crank) and weighs ~2600lbs, then how would that 260 crank HP civic do since it has more power, and weighs less? allllll from the factory. theres also a mugen civic type-r with 240 crank HP weighing 2700lbs

  • @MixQuisite expect a naturally aspirated 1.6 to be extremly fast up top ? thats y muscle have more cylinders and us import dudes got boost to even things out.everyone can go fast , just have different ways of making power , so many supercharged v8's and v8's on spray , why can't we use boost ? the Dodge srt4 was made with 4 cyl unlike most american cars , why ? its just a 2.4 & the boost will give it the power and torque it would lack if it was NA , make a muscle with a 4 cyl and u'd need boost

A stock Muscle came out the factory running 13s 12s in a qtr mile wit 350hp -450hp wit the A/C on blast maximum load on the engine & 3400lbs. SO True Muscle is a Factory Stock 1968-70 Chevelle, Olds, Buick GS-x, Dodge Charger, SS camaro 396. But stock wit 450 naturally aspirated HP.

This = muscle cars doing wheel stands off the line on track or streets. Not to mention you never seen the police fucking wit muscle wit the big loud superchargers.

  • @MixQuisite the NSX is faster than an S2000. the S2000 is faster than some V8's stock vs stock. and theres also the 06+ Si that can do 14.9 bone stock. thats faster than many V8's i know of. maybe not the new ones though.

    also, think about this. if theres a 00 Si with full interior ~2600lbs, and 210whp (~235 crank HP), running 12.9 in a quarter mile, then what would a STOCK 08 civic mugen rr with 260 crank HP and 2414lbs do to "some" stock V8's?

  • @joescivic The 1969 Yenko Nova, which is quite a moderate car compared to most street muscles out there right now, ran 12.8 at the quarter, ON POLYGLAS TIRES. You have to take into account that most times made by pre 1975 cars were all on polyglas tires. Get modern slicks and you'll see times in the 10 - 11 second range, stock.

    Hell, the 1970 Buick GSX Stage 2 ran a 10.08 in June of 1971 on polyglas. That's sub 9 seconds on slicks.

  • @MixQuisite plus, the 05-09 GT with 300hp, even the 2010 GT with 315hp, is just a 13.5 sec car. with AC on, it definitely wouldnt run those times. not even an 00 camaro SS which is like a 13.1 sec car. the A/C on full blast would kill it. im sure theres noone racing at the strip with A/C on. so any time recorded, would be with the A/C off.

    my 00 civic with a stock k20 motor, dynoed 184whp, and rapes the 05-09 GT and 2010 GT. that right there is all motor. stock k20 motor. but its a swap.

  • @MixQuisite my civic is just like the 00 Si i mentioned making 210whp. we both have k20a2 swaps with an intake, header, exhaust, and tuned. i now have an aftermarket exhaust (still too restrictive), and dynoed 204whp. with a better header, i could make 215+WHP, but still, point is, all motor, and just bolt-ons to the k20 can make 220+whp and run high 12's. with slicks, they are capable of 11's. they can be built to make ~350+whp all motor. theres all motor civics in the 9's also.

  • well if the ricers want to talk dollar to dollar i bought a 94 formula from orig owner for 2300... and has 300hp"1 or 2 boltons" it will walk all over most turbo hondas on the street from a dig or a roll. LT1s are old but not dead... from a dig it even walks on bolton LS1s till 40 or so total invested about 2600 so far including cost of car.

    The only imports that can are the nearly $100K (NSX and GTR35).

  • @jimmykudo23 actually the muscle guys are usually the ones talking shit... real tuners respect all car for what they are. im not a huge fan of muscle cars but i respect them for what they can do. also, a 98 camaro z28 goes for around 8k where as the same year civic is around 3. put that extra 5k into the engine and you have to take into account that the honda weighs a lot less so it doesnt need as much power. and 5k into a honda when done right would be a pretty quick car. especially if boosted.
