  • Fitting song really.

  • I wonder what Katherine must've been feeling this day.

  • Believe me when i say this micheal is at peace!

  • He will come back!

  • Fuck how i Miss you MJ ;(

  • We all we see the king on day ...Oh happy Day but boy was that so sad

  • I will never forget, Freddie Mercury and of course Michael Jackson

  • In response to some of the other comments, you could take it that "the King" they're referring to is "The King of Pop"... Also, I thought it was an excellent selection of music, and is still emotional watching it over 2 years later!

  • I don't think I will ever get over the image of Marlon's knees buckling at that casket. This will always break my heart.

  • Just BEAUTIFUL!!! I just hate that we had to lose HIM to have had that beautiful service...why come out of the shadows now (celebrities)--couldn't you have just been there for him while he was alive? Maybe he'd still be here. Instead you ALL-again, (celebs) jump on the "I was best friends with Michael Jackson bandwagon". Especially you Brooke Shields. Shame on you ALL.

  • this is a beautiful version of this song

  • Esse coral chega perto da perfeição.

  • this still brings me to sobbing hysterics 2 years later.

  • I remember feeling nausea when i saw this. It was really really powerful. I just collapsed crying. And i agree with emily. Michael jackson had that special something, he impacted everyone

  • i agree emily, and not just in the U.S.A. the "entire"world stopped. i defy anyone to say that there wasn't something very special about MJ. you can add the last three popes, mother Thresa, princes Di, J.F.K. and anyone else you can think of that has died in the past hundred years and you'll see that all there services put together didn't get the worldwide attention that MJ's did. If you ever loved MJ, you still love i know i do.

  • I am an real MJ fan, I'm also called after his name, that's why my name is Michael too... On that day i was thinkg "I'n not going' to cry, but the moment he came in: I broke! And still it brings tears to my eyes, but I'm also be glad that I was alive when this man lived! The first time there is a legend in my life that lives (untill that terrble moment:))

  • may he rest in paradise for all eternity. poor mj..:(

  • Beautiful Song and Beautiful Ceremony..I so sorry for Michael..He was such sweetheart and is wish we could turn back the time and save him..this is so untimely..that's what makes it hurt so bad

  • We have lost a legend ,but the his three children lost a father a great love one, what got me so baaaad is when Paris was huging her aunt Toya as the brothers especially"Jermain" were walking by" passing Michael's kids" kissing their mother,

Prince was crying and Toya gave napkin to Paris and to him.

sorrow and grief 2:37 when I see those precious Michael's sweet polite children had to see their father laying there, as God was my witness I wished it was Sneeddon instead.

  • Gänsehaut und Emotionen pur! - Sehr bewegende Inszenierung zum Gedenken an einen der größten Musiker dieses Planeten!

  • MJ is alive. Definitely!

  • @RALPHSGIRL223 It's not that old. Andrae Crouch wrote it in 1976! Still one of the greatest spiritual songs we have.

  • Awesome Hymn for an AWESOME Human Being

  • Yes! God is the only true king, but this song that the Andrae Crouch Choir sung was a great song to sing at Michael's memorial service when his brothers brought his casket in during the entry of the start of the service. Just to point out to everyone that thought this was a show. It wasn't, it was a celebration of MJ's life and how much love and dedication he has bought to his devoted fans like myself, friends and his family especially his beautiful children.

  • excelent song for michael jackson i love you mike , forever KING OF POP forever god bless you

  • mike take ur rest may u find peace in heaven rip the king of pop

  • Man when they started, my mom had tears pouring out of her eyes. I'll never forget this, i've listened to Michael all the time and i'm only 21 right now. It was like I was at my own family member's funeral, I even almost cried.

  • There was a few seconds after this song when everyone was dead silent and then the whole place cheered for the king! It was so sad!!!

  • I still get chills watching this footage. I was outside the Staples Center during this Memorial service. This song is very powerful, its words refer to us seeing GOD, the real King...soon. Michael, respectively was a god on earth. I repeat, god, on earth. His fame was too large too powerful to mention.

  • WAS MJ REALLY IN THE CASKET?

  • it's still too upsetting to watch.... so emotional and i miss mj everyday

  • I found Michael Jackson to be one of the most seemingly innocent people in show business. I believe he made mistakes just like any one else, I believe he was totally misunderstood for his genius. My deepest prayer for him was that someone would steer him into the direction of the Lord of Hosts and he would accept Yeshua as Saviour. I also hope that the song wasn't being used to glorify Jackson but to encourage us that we would some day see the KING of KINGS..

  • R.I.P MJ .. i knw you are with the king of all kings ..GOD .. we love you

  • WOW the man even gets a standing ovation while dead in his casket

  • anybody that thinks of michael jackson as just a entertainer will never understand what he meant to people.

i think of him as a man who simply wanted to make the world a better place, who happened to be the greatest entertainer ever

  • @jstrong151 To me he is God.

  • @xxtasha10xx well thats too far. he was a great man, but he is not God

  • @jstrong151 Just my opinion. Christians believe in God..I believe in Michael. You have your opinion and I have mine.

  • @xxtasha10xx lol ok. but im sure michael wouldnt want u to think this way

  • @jstrong151 And why is that? Just because I have faith in someone? People have faith in God.

  • @xxtasha10xx i agree with you, i am not a christian im an athiest...and i definately dont believe in God, so the lyrics to me are also referring to Michael ♥ ♥ ♥ xxx

  • @iLuvvYuuMjxXxLia Yes definetly

  • @jstrong151 And just who are you to proclaim who is god and who is not? Do you not remember that Jesus taught that even the least among us should be treated as you would treat Jesus/God himself? So in the future you should be careful in the future about claiming to know who is and isn't God. He may be right next to you on the bus, or could be the person you passed in the street... Judge not, lest ye be judged, and by the same measure.

  • The choir is under the direction of Sandra Crouch along with by her twin brother Andrae Crouch (who wrote the song about seeing Jesus, the King of Kings) on piano. The Crouches collaborated with Michael on several of his last albums including songs like "Man in the Mirror", "Will you be There" and others. He had a lot of respect for their work and they were friends along with their mutual association with Quincy Jones. You can see Andrae on the right side of the stage.

  • peace, brother

  • best version of this song. MJ forever

  • Now that's how we do it! RIP MJ

  • i got chills when this song played and they brought the cakset out.

  • @jstrong151 -- I did too!

  • i think this song is amazingly appropiate, reffering to michael is gone and is with jesus. and that one day we will all see the King. and michael will be there too

  • @thekingofcinema1 Yes he will!!!!!!

  • which king are they referring to in this song?

  • @rachelD86 King Jesus

  • @rachelD86 It depends how you see it...It could either be God or Michael...In my eyes they were referring to Michael.

  • Muito, muito, muito triste!

  • MJ is NOt in there! He is in the audience as Hat Man! just like on Megamind!

  • Only a true legend would get over 5000 people stand up and cheer and he lays silent in his coffin

What a true legend MJ was

R.I.P MJ you are always in our hearts

  • it was at the family's request I believe... I really think Michael would have approved... Andrae was one of Michael's dearest friend ...

  • :'(

  • wow this man even gets a standing ovation and loud cheers while being rolled out in a casket O____O what a true legend he was

  • Never in my life have I've seen when major networks pre-empt shows just to show a funeral for a celebrity. Usually this kind of coverage is reserved for the death of a head of state. It just goes to show that Michael Jackson had a special quality about him that made him worthy to be honored in such a profound way. It just amazes me to this very day.

  • @Emily41162 James Brown funeral was televised like this too. I wonder if they'll do it for Whitney Houston.

  • beautiful service! definitely brought me 2 tearz even til this day :'( rest in paradize michael

  • just like every prophet that had to go through so much crap to get their message across, from prophet jesus to noah, to mohammad, to moses...any innocent person who tries to spread the divide message and goodness in this world will suffer because of the loser Satan and his loser friends. ur the loser in the end satan and god is always the winner. We love you michael. Thank you for making the world a better place.

  • Thank you for posting this but I wish you would have put the name of who these singers are. "A gospel choir" sings soon and very soon? Uh it's the Andrae Crouch choir. This is who Mike turned to for inspiration. they are not by any means just a gospel choir. They are angels sent to us from heaven to share their music. Andrae and Sandra are Legends......let's get it right. thanks.

  • Just to let y'all know, instead of arguing with these ignorant fools that have NO idea where Michael is right now, I flagged them as span, garbage, basura because that is all they are. Trust me when I say Michael knew Jesus and lived for Him only. You see Michael was metaphorically broken by the public as Jesus was physically broken for us. I am NOT saying Michael was Jesus but he endured these metaphorical beatings and STILL loved. He had nothing but love in his heart. RIP baby...

  • I tried not to cry when his casket came in, the song was so powerful and emotional that I just completely lost control of my emotions, it made me cry that day and it makes me cry now that I'm watching it.

  • I know Micheal acknowledged God, but what realy matters is weather I'm ready for Jesus coming, I'm i obedient to Gods word and I'm I an example, Im i influencing others to know God better. Thankyou for the song, it gives me more courage.

  • Sandra Crouch and the Christ Memorial COGIC choir.

  • This is really beautiful. Sometimes I think of the people that say MJ is still alive and find a lot of proof in this memorial service - well if I were to believe that, this would be one of them. 'Soon and very soon we are going to see the king'. Rest in peace MJ.

  • Thanks for posting then. I cried then. I know I didn't know Michael Jackson personally, but I felt like he was a family member that died. I can't remember a single childhood memory without MJ music. NOT ONE!!

  • This was truly a special day and to be apart of the choir was an beyond an honor! RIP MJJ

  • Jesus said the Greatest Commandment is that you love God with ALL your heart, mind, soul and strength. With THAT in your life, HOW can you NOT talk about God where ever you go?

    Michael didn't. Then he dies.

Dead without the Light of God in him. Sure, there was a "light". He did good things.

READ THE BIBLE! There's ONE WAY! Any other way leads to Hell!

I didn't make the rules. Read the Rule Book: the Bible. Otherwise, go to Hell.

    Too simple but it's true.

    Michael ain't resting.

  • @kujo313 Please Go vist this website called:ReflectionsOnTheDance. and you will find out Michael Jackson's Faith&Love for God!!!!!!

  • @kujo313 I guess that means that you knew Michael Jackson personally. I guess that personal relationship that you had with him qualifies you to speak on what was in his heart and his relationship with God. My guess is that you didn't. You didn't know him but yet you judge him. ANOTHER MORTAL MAN PLAYING GOD!! Who gave you the authority to judge??? Maybe you should re-read your bible and realize that ONLY GOD HAS THE FINAL AUTHORITY ON WHOSE SOUL IS GOING TO HEAVEN!!!

  • @hippotizer They are referring to Jesus as the King in the song, this is a song that they sung at his memorial, I guess they are saying they believe he is in a better place with the King Jesus. I have been listening to Andre Criuch fro over 20 something years now, since I was a child. Again that is who is referring to in the song.

  • @hippotizer i don think they were abusing it i tihnk they were refering to jesus in this song.

  • @hippotizer sit down. you're embarrassing yourself.

  • The King of Pop, has met the King of Kings :) I think thats a better way of putting it.

  • The King has finally met the King R.I.P Micheal Jackson

  • @kordarrodavis99 he wasnt a king bytch.

  • Lmao wow you petty.and a hater he was a king and you the servant

  • @kordarrodavis99 lol please. u r the one that is the servant u brain washed cunt because you are the one calling him the king. not me. a person only serves something they acknowledge as their higher power. and that is you. so u r the servant. i wish people would stop setting other human being equal to God. so dumb. ya'll r so brainwashed. but its not ur fault. ur just subconsciously hypnotized by the illumanti and dont even know it. but its whatever. he was only a human... not God.

  • If you were smart you would know i wasnt comparing Michael Jackson to god Michael was referred to ask the king so thats what i called him SO WHAT!!!! god is much more then the king.God cannot be defined because he is so worthy and high powered but some one like you always gotta start something because you are bored with your life and have nothing else to do but google big words that you cant pronounce but its ok i understand that your a little off in the head.

  • Lol thanks :-)

  • Andrae&Sandra Crouch have prayed with MJ three weeks before he die.

I hope he is in heaven right now!!!!!

  • @turebeliever24 not true, that was rumor.

  • @AveolarD IT is ture look it up on google or go on Reflections On The Dance website. and, if you don't believe me go on Andrae Crouch's Facebook page. ask is it's ture and it will give you the answer.

  • Yooo i remember crying so hard when they started singing this song and walked him out! ahhhh SLEEP SWEET MIKE! LUV U!

  • I hate watching this. So sad :(

Fuck the haters that can watch someones funeral and give it thumbs down because they are so bitter and fucking jealous..FUCK THEM!!!

  • such a beautiful rendition of this beautiful song

  • scribd (dot) com/nb812

  • prachtig nummer rust zacht michael

  • incredible: Two weeks before dat event Michael was practisin' for "This Is It", exactly on that stage!!!

  • Mj Living!!!!!!

  • Let's take a look at the lyrics of this GOSPEL song:

"Soon and very soon we are going to see the KIng....."

In this reference they are referring to God as the King, not Michael Jackson.

Goodness! Get over yourselves! The is only one TRUE King and that IS God.

Michael had never likened himself as such. King of POP was a nickname Elizabeth Taylor gave him years ago. The media often referred to him as the "self-proclaimed King of Pop, but that isn't true.

  • @honeybflyy21282 Yes their is only one true King, and his name are Jesus, and if michael accepted that, he is home with him right now :)

  • @honeybflyy21282 A rose dropped from the coffin as if it were a tear from Micheal around the 1:39 mark amazing!

  • @honeybflyy21282 AMEN TO THAT!!!!

  • @honeybflyy21282 It's just a song you don't have to say all that gosh! In my head when i listen to this song I think of Michael not God. People have different views and let them keep them.

  • Are you stupid or something? My comment was to those haters who claimed that Michael's fans were likening him to God. I'll say whatever the hell I like, whether you approve or not, but why not ask me what I meant next time before calling yourself going in on me.

  • im like soo obbsseessed witthh thiss song

  • Go On this website called Reflection On The Dance. you will know all about Michael Jackson's Faith In God!!!!!

  • T.T

    Michael We miss you !!!!!!

  • I LOVE that song and this version <3

  • R.I.P Michael Jackson, you will be missed!

  • Comment removed

  • Luv this song. Miss you MJ!!

  • I Hope the King of Kings and the King of Pop are together in Heaven!!!!!

  • no more dying there,, we are going to see the King. amin

  • "Soon and very soon we are going to see the King.....of Pop"

    Michael is ALIVE!

    beLIEve!

  • Everytime i watch it, i can't stop crying..Oh Michael i love you from the bottom of my heart, Brazil loves you, you are an angel.

  • Michael è stato, è , e sarà per sempre il Re Del Pop. 1958-Forever!

  • i like the song, but i don't like the fact that they used it towards "Michael Jackson" He was not the King, and never will be. There's only one King and that's GOD. His King of all Kings!

  • @MsOgren wasn't the song title, " we are going to see the king", at what time did they state or added in " soon and very soon, michael jackson's king, he is going to see the king"..... Michael was close with the Crouches and he loved the song, that's why it was chosen, if they changed it to Michael was the king, please let me know.

  • @MsOgren Its so sad that some people don't live balanced lives -- RIP Michael Jackson, King of Pop

  • @MsOgren Michael was king here on earth. this is why i don't go to church because you people always have to make everything negative with your religious views. To me he is the king, king of pop , its a title he earned with his music. No one ever said he was a lord and savior. How can god be king of kings if theres only one king , like you said ? I'll continue to have my relationship with god at home , I dont need a church brainwashing me..god bless and L.o.v.e

  • @satanknight14 I'm so sorry you don't go to church because of other people, I pray that someday you can find a church, For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:20

  • @MsOgren Um, duh. They are referring to Jesus when they sing King. Michael liked this song which is why they sang it.

  • micheal jackson was not the king. GOD is the KING of KINGS

  • I think it was very respectful in the face of the Real King of King

  • andre crouch singers....if u wanna edit your title

  • wee are going to see the KING no mor crying :D :D

  • i love this video

  • ~Both Opinions Are True~ ~God IS TheOne&Only King of TheUniverse~ ~And Michael is Also *A* King~ ~Michael Isn't *THE* King..God Is~ ~Michael Himself Has Said That~ ~OprahWinfrey Asked Him About That&Michael Said : "I Am NOT God..I Don't Try And BE God.but..I Try2Be Very God - LIKE..&To Please Him.."~ ~God Is Michael's ROLE-MODEL~ ~God Is Who Michael Looks Up2&Respects And Admires..God Is Who Michael Wants2Please~ ~God's MESSAGE..&Michael's MESSAGE Are One&The Same~ ~*~LOVE!!!~*~ :-)
  • @7DreamChild7 I know this is an old comment, but in the song they are referring to God King Jesus in the song. What they are saying he is now in a better with the King Jesus.

  • Saw Andrae Crouch perform this song at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland in 1976. It was powerful then, and it's just as powerful now.

  • @russianhiller Yes still a VERY powerful song!!! Love Andre and Sandra Crouch!!!

  • MJ was/is the King of Pop, but this song clearly meant more to him than that! 3 weeks before he passed he met with Andre Crouch- MJ asked AC to sing THIS song. He also asked AC 'What is the anointing of the Holy Spirit?' 'Why do people raise their hands?' and 'How do I make my music more spiritual?' They talked about Jesus, the Holy Spirit and prayed. MJ was very touched (the report says). There is also a video of AC in Norway (early 90s) talks about MJ & spiritual experience at end. L.O.V.E.

  • Yes, the King is God.

However, this song was chosen because Michael was also a King. King of Pop.

If anyone wants to talk about about God go on a different video. This video is about King Michael....

  • GOD BLESS YOU! lmao....if thats okay to say about god(:

  • @WILDCATSBR well said

  • this song will be sung at my funeral

  • I cried, when i heard this song :'(

All support and love to the Jackson family.

  • Not a religious person at all. But growing up Black in a Black church(and having common sense)...

The "King" that is refrerred to in this song is God, not MJ. Come on, how silly do you have to be NOT to get this???

  • Amen my friend :-D. God & His Son Jesus is King

The word "king" is used symbolically in the Bible to signify someone who possesses supreme power.

God is referred to as a King in 1 Timothy 1:17: "Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever & ever. Amen."

Revelation 19:16 is the main passage where "King of kings" is mentioned in relation to Jesus Christ. "On his robe & on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."

  • I just lost a classmate and they played this at his funeral. I immediately thought about Michael Jackson. It was very emotional. -Rest in peace Michael J. Jackson and Antonio B.- love you both and I miss you Antonio, could you let Michael know that I love him?

  • @garrybartley They were not referring to Michael as being the king. That notion is ridiculous. They were talking about God.

  • @garrybartley Hi Garry. As there were more than a few folks at the memorial service who had never heard the song before, of course they assumed the "King" was MJ. Of course, MJ knew the song very well and sang it with his friend Andrae Crouch as well as another song "It Won't Be Long" just weeks before he passed. Hence, that is why they used it for the memorial. I assumed most folks knew the story behind the song's use. Guess I was wrong. Peace.

  • ok, now garry thats just a stupid pointless comment youve posted right there.

theyre NOT reffering to MJ as the king, theyre talking about GOD. i agree with hillsofnewport.

  • I think that although, ultimately, they are referring to "God", they knowingly chose a song that uses the phrase "going to see the King", given that MJ was referred to as "The King of Pop". You can make little jokes at funeral too, you know (I'm planning to be hoisted up on strings from my casket to scare little children).

  • This song made me cry when I watched it live on 7th July 2009.

  • miss ya MJ !!!!

  • .....no more dying days we are going to see the KING (GOD) Hallelujah, Hallelujah we are going to see the KING...... Live forever in the light MJ

  • @melroz2009 why do u want to know why they sang it?

  • The way I understand the story is Gos
