Stratovarius disbanded around a year ago (it was anounced last spring) due to personal conflicts among Timo Tolkki (the guitarist), Timo Kotipelto (the vocalist) and Jorg Michael (the drummer). Since then Timo Tolkki has put out a new band called Revolution Rennaisance and he has released 1 cd with them on Frontiers Records.

Well I don't know about what it was 7 months ago exactly but now they are releasing a new album entitled Polaris with Matias Kupianen on guitar, Timo Koltipelto on lead vocals, Lauri Porra on bass guitar, Jorg Michael on drums, and Jens Johansson on keyboards.
