I don't keep bees, but I always have lots of them on my property and I get stung all the time. It doesn't hurt so bad. Just a little at first. A mosquito bite is more annoying.
why do they sting you? Bees are usually pacific unless they feel threatened. And i don't think you'd be talking like that if the bees on your property were killer bees.
What it was, was they had a small hive hidden in a gap between the frame of my cellar door and the house. A few times I came out of the house & surprised them, I guess, and they got me. This happened a few times, and I was thinking "where are these bees coming from and why are they after me?" Then I finally figured it out. But I never kill bees, so I did nothing to the hive and just watched myself when I came out through that door & I didn't get stung again.
we have to start caring for bees sustainably. not commercially. and stop the crooks who make millions making poison that is killing huge populations of honey bees and threaten us.
bees actually sting and don't bite. But if they sting, they die. Their stingers have barbs that bend back so once the stinger goes in, the bee can't get it out. So bees will only sting you if you threaten their hive or disturb their work. Otherwise, they're very gentle. The smoke you see in this video keeps them calm and disguises the alarm pheromone they give off when they're scared (which is what makes bees suddenly WANT to sting)
Hornets are the assholes of this group of animals. Bees are ok
great video...i'm actually getting a bee hive in Jan. or Feb. to build and then i'm getting my bees in March so this is really helpful since this is my first time with bees any other advice message me
This is the best video for a beginner like me. I thank you so much for informative video. Thank everyone for poor peoples help with beekeeping. If someone would of just shared. I am a TBH Swarmed.
not cure but help then again eating a little pot is more enjoyable and you dont ave to find bees and get stung.
pot releaves inflamation and helps with the pain. bee sting hurt and cause the tissue to swell but once the tissues return to normal the blood flow is increased.
basicly smoke some weed its quicker and less painful (you can eat it also which is recomended by docs over smoking)
The trouble with smoking 'weed' is that it makes me less able to concentrate on minute detail and less able to solve problems.
I am currently studying mathematics at a reasonably high level and when my friends give me some of the stuff, I am screwed for two days....it isn't called 'dope' for nothing.
@quietlydoesit, i'm a programmer. And i sort of agree. If i haven't smoked in ages, a smoke will sometimes give me a help over a complex problem (as long as i can rest afterward). But it can't be a regular thing or else i become stupid and tired and generally useless.
Bee stings cause inflammation at the skin level and an immune response that is oftentimes systemic in people with autoimmune conditions like arthritis... in simple terms, bee stings would be more likely to worsen the condition (cause a "flare") than help, as it would be another source of inflammation so even more cells in the body attacked by the white blood cells. Taking immunosuppressants like cortisones makes stings more risky, too, as the body is less likely to respond to the sting at all.
Very good video. I learned more from this video than 10 others combined.
I am going to start beekeeping in south Texas this spring. Getting ready now.
Thank you for taking the time to do all that you do.
The other guy is right, don't pay any attention to the haters. They are jealous.
Most of them are immature kids that should have their buts spanked.

I like bee-keepers. They do more good for the environment than the so called green people and big cooperation's who want to just tax us.
