@TheManoddd Its a Subaru Motor and a VW Tranny so its still RWD, the motor is a flat 4 just like VW air cooled motors. they Bolt up together with a bracket.

@TheThrottleJockey we're looking at a $60k build. These guys used lots of brand new parts/ expensive engine upgrades. You can drop a STI motor in a beetle using a G50 Porsche tranny for about $15k the cheapest.

@916Kaleb they have motor packages for off road cars that start around 7k, but keep in mind you still need to buy a radiator and decide whether you would like to run intercooling or not.

Clutch still rocks. Used to have a good friend that played this all the time. This bug continues to be the tuff est lookin bug I've seen. Perfect blend of looking classic, while having some mean mods so it's got balls too. Really dig this bug, alot. I've always been into american vintage muscle, and this little bug looks the full part of being a hotrod german cross. Nice nice work man, real nice. I think one of the things I love most about this car is that you widend the front and rear fender but either customized them to be stock width at the sidesteps or ordered them that way, which one is it?

I really want wider fenders but hate the way it looks in relation to the runningboards, they dwarf them. Did you customize these or buy them that way?
