Vektor is the best new wave of thrash band no question and is actually in my top 5 fav bands of all time. closely followed by Mutant, Hexen and Warpath. Sure there are loads of new wave of thrash bands but they just dont strike me as much as these 4. and yes its is more crossover like Municipal waste.

@00IRON001 i dunno, i think they are definetely the most popular but nowhere near the best. there are plenty of new wave bands better than Evile who offer more in terms of musical composition imo. although i will say that Ol drake is a brilliant lead guitarist.
@Madmanfoo55 Municipal Waste are kinda annoying, Toxic Holocaust=all songs sound the same, Violator is a carbon copy/medley of old school bands so nothing that great, Cross Examination are meh, Dr Livingdead i do like however.
@nadman14 If anyone is a carbon copy Dr Livingdead are. Anthrax+ST= Dr Livingdead. I like Violator, they may not be original but they are intense and dont really sound exactly like any other band.
@nadman14 It's kind of impossible to be original these days so I just let it slide if the band puts together a solid thrash act that can give me remixes of old riffs with different solos and more intensity. So I like Violater a lot.

In the info it says that this is their second album, but it's just their first full-length. They've released 4 demo's besides the State of Insurgency album. Trust me haha, my roommates and I can't fuckin' wait for them to record their next one!!!! They're waiting to get a deal with a new company, I just wish this process would go faster so A) we can finally hear this new material (that apparently is already written) and B) They can make a third album haha!! Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, and Slipknot can kiss my ass. Sure, thrash metal isn't mainstream... but it rules the underground. And with all of the breakouts of newer thrash bands, thrash is the king of metal right now.

@frindle8 There is nothing wrong with Avenge Sevenfold,Disturbed, or Slipknot. They are good bands just as well as this one and they worked just as hard as any other band to make it in the music industry. Just because there main stream doesn't mean they suck. I would be more focused on musicians like Taylor Swift and Michael Jackson rather than some actually talented musicians like Disturbed,Slipknot, and Avenge Sevenfold

And don't get me started with Slipknot... I am a huge metal head but Slipknot is some of the shittiest music ever. They are only known because of their stage appearance and having too many un-necessary members. Other than that, they are talentless posers (but I will admit Joey is one hell of a drummer, only inch of talent in the band)
