I'm a wrestling Fan for over 22 Years and I just love it, but I don't like most of the stuff, that Vince is trying to shove down my throat. First of all I don't like the term sports entertainment. great video Doug, i have to agree with you,once TNA is gone then there is nothing left. The only companies would be left are ROH and NWA which done have a company backbone at the moment. TNA is better than the WWE in match quality, thats why im watching it and staying with it because its better then the WWE in that sense. Ive attended a ROH event, amazing energy throughout the show, I would definitely go to those events more than a TNA event, and even more than the overpriced WWE events

Listen, I completely agree on your views about WWE.. But I do still view it and I have to say the Nexus angle is good, but it could be a lot better. Daniel Bryan should have done it with Indy stars such as Kaval and anyone the WWE could have signed. I mean, that would be more worthy to me than these bunch of jimbos.

I agree with u alot, accept with two things, 1.MMA and pro wrestling are different, just bcuz they have or had the same fan base puts them in the same genre?? I dont think so. 2. the WWE isnt all that bad, i mean they have alot of promising talent..and the matches are slightly getting better
And on a second note, there is nothing wrong with wrestling directed at kids. CHIKARA Pro Wrestling has wrestlers with kid like gimmicks, and they produce average to amazing wrestling on every show they pump out. There shows range from like 7 to higher on a 1 to 10 scale on every show. Guys like Truthslayer, bigrat13, and dinosaureavenger all talk bout them postively. There isnt a thing wrong with wrestling directed towards kids. Hell RoH, and Bryan Danielson has worked with them.
The ECW TNA story is a joke, and WWE did it how many years ago when they had One Night Stand 1 and 2. And both were amazing shows. And I watch TNA and I cant finish an episode cause its a joke. I saw half this roster like 10 billion years ago. No one cares for Hogan, and Flair. We want new and up and coming. And thats what WWE is in the process of with their NXT wrestlers, and new roster pushes with Miz, and Evan Bourne an so forth.
I just watch the WWE because I know it's bad, I expect it to be bad, and I get a good laugh from it. To me, it's comedy albeit stupid, and whenever I see a match that's at least better than what they normally put out, then it's a very pleasant surprise. But that's just me.
What really pisses me off about these comments is how is how ignorant some of you are towards Doug's point about certain issues with TNA such as the veterans. Doug's pissed off about most veterans taking up the main event (World Heavyweight) spot. If a veteran such as Rick Flair is having a good build-up fued with a young talented Jay Lethal and the matches deliver they Doug's OK with that. Seriously you people need to get your minds straight about Bill and Doug's opinions.
TNA has had great matches over the years, but the horrible writing has been there from the very beginning and has made the company look so bad that people don't take TNA seriously. So they had better get their act together if they want to survive. The ECW thing is not helping because it has old farts in it. WWE has great matches once in a blue moon and is mostly crap. Only when they get rid of the old farts and horrible writing will WWE and TNA shine.

I also think Vince Russo gets a bad rap. If anything goes right in TNA Dixie gets the credit and if anything goes wrong it's all on Russo. And even Doug himself enjoys some of the stuff that Russo is putting out. Russo has even said himself that he'd step aside if Heyman or JR came in when JR was thinking of coming. It's not easy being creative and not easy being at the brunt of everyone's dissaproval when you fail, so for that I give him some lee way.
Everyone's different. Everyone has different tastes when it comes to pro wrestling.
Some people like the ROH style, some people like a more edgy program, some like more of a family oriented one. I like great characters, I like edge storylines, and great in ring action. ROH hasn't grabbed like other people too I respect what they're trying to do. TNA is doing some great stuff I think people should watch or they're missing out. WWE isn't what it was but there is stuff to be excited 4

I’ve been watching you guys for a few years now. While I don't always agree with you guys 100% you always make some great points. I don't fully agree with you about WWE. I think RAW has been pretty good lately. I like what they’re doing with Orton, but I feel his character would be much better if they targeted a more adult audience. Right now he is kind of a watered down SCSA. TNA is by far the best wrestling show on today. Even my GF has been interested in TNA
McMahon, instead of taking on the MMA and UFC wave, told those fans who left for the UFC "don't let the door hit your ass on the way out." Then, he watered down the WWE product to a kid-friendly soap opera with a little bit of wrestling in order to get a new audience to watch. If Vince had had any balls, he would've taken on MMA by making the WWE even wilder and crazier than it was in the late 90s and early 00s.

Difference between Cena & those is that they didn't get booed out of every building they're in like Cena is. You say Cena is the face of wrestling yet most of the true fans don't accept him.
And for the love of Baby Jesus, a wrestler's job is NOT to put on 5-star matches. It's to put on a good showcase for the fans while working with your other opponent. To bring the fans into it your match, which is what guys like Cena do. Not to do a million flips, which can STILL be entertaining.

Last time RVD was in WWE which was 2007, it wasn't as watered down as it is now. If he came back to WKE they'd ban half his move set. TNA isn't perfect but like Doug said, 10 steps ahead of WKE.

I thought WM 26 was very good man. They had two very good world title matches and a very good - great MITB match. WWE PPVs this year haven't been that bad. I personally liked WM, ER, and MITB. Everyone should root for TNA to survive. Even if you don't like it, we need it and we should hope it survives.
im thinking that fortune should be aj, kazarian and beer money. i like that desmond hasnt been included as it means he has the opportunity to dodge fortune and move on to the main event status (though they've been squashing him which doesn't look promising). aj the successful heavyweight, beer money the capable tag team and then kazarian, a wrestler who has never lived up to his potential, which of course will mostly get over kazarian.
@FaintestFusion I agree with that for Fortune, and I think that Desmond should still try to get into the group until eventually they kick his ass and leave him for dead. Desmond will then try to seek revenge on Fortune. At the same time, if TNA were smart, they'd hire Haas and Benjamin and link him back with Kurt Angle. I'm a wrestling Fan for over 22 Years and I just love it, but I don't like most of the stuff, that Vince is trying to shove down my throat. First of all I don't like the term sports entertainment. It is wrestling for me and I don't like "stars" appearing every week on RAW and stuff. I don't like silly commedy like Hornswoggle painting a hole in the wall and walking through it.

great video Doug, i have to agree with you,once TNA is gone then there is nothing left. The only companies would be left are ROH and NWA which done have a company backbone at the moment. Listen, I completely agree on your views about WWE.. But I do still view it and I have to say the Nexus angle is good, but it could be a lot better. Daniel Bryan should have done it with Indy stars such as Kaval and anyone the WWE could have signed. I mean, that would be more worthy to me than these bunch of jimbos.
TNA however is alright, it provides me good matches occassionally but I do not care for the Hogan/Bischoff Era. They really need to get rid of Russo, he's off of the hook lately.

CHIKARA Pro Wrestling has wrestlers with kid like gimmicks, and they produce average to amazing wrestling on every show they pump out. There shows range from like 7 to higher on a 1 to 10 scale on every show. Guys like Truthslayer, bigrat13, and dinosaureavenger all talk bout them postively. There isnt a thing wrong with wrestling directed towards kids. Hell RoH, and Bryan Danielson has worked with them.

The ECW TNA story is a joke, and WWE did it how many years ago when they had One Night Stand 1 and 2. And both were amazing shows. And I watch TNA and I cant finish an episode cause its a joke. I saw half this roster like 10 billion years ago. No one cares for Hogan, and Flair. We want new and up and coming. And thats what WWE is in the process of with their NXT wrestlers, and new roster pushes with Miz, and Evan Bourne an so forth.

What really pisses me off about these comments is how is how ignorant some of you are towards Doug's point about certain issues with TNA such as the veterans. Doug's pissed off about most veterans taking up the main event (World Heavyweight) spot. TNA has had great matches over the years, but the horrible writing has been there from the very beginning and has made the company look so bad that people don't take TNA seriously. So they had better get their act together if they want to survive. The ECW thing is not helping because it has old farts in it. WWE has great matches once in a blue moon and is mostly crap. I also think Vince Russo gets a bad rap. If anything goes right in TNA Dixie gets the credit and if anything goes wrong it's all on Russo. And even Doug himself enjoys some of the stuff that Russo is putting out. Russo has even said himself that he'd step aside if Heyman or JR came in when JR was thinking of coming. It's not easy being creative and not easy being at the brunt of everyone's dissaproval when you fail, so for that I give him some lee way.

Everyone's different. Everyone has different tastes when it comes to pro wrestling.
Some people like the ROH style, some people like a more edgy program, some like more of a family oriented one. I like great characters, I like edge storylines, and great in ring action. ROH hasn't grabbed like other people too I respect what they're trying to do. TNA is doing some great stuff I think people should watch or they're missing out. WWE isn't what it was but there is stuff to be excited 4

Right now he is kind of a watered down SCSA. TNA is by far the best wrestling show on today. Even my GF has been interested in TNA

WWE don't do good matches? They put on 2 ****+ matches this week.
Smackdowns MITB match, then the Orton/Edge/Jericho match on Raw.
The Nexus angle is hot aswel, if you give it a go you may just enjoy yourself (although you seem to enjoy bashing WWE too much to even watch)

McMahon, instead of taking on the MMA and UFC wave, told those fans who left for the UFC "don't let the door hit your ass on the way out." Then, he watered down the WWE product to a kid-friendly soap opera with a little bit of wrestling in order to get a new audience to watch. If Vince had had any balls, he would've taken on MMA by making the WWE even wilder and crazier than it was in the late 90s and early 00s.
Somebody needs to clean Vince's clock if the WWE is going to become good again.

ROH is NOT the best company. In fact, in spite of ROHtards will tell you, ROH is stale as all hell.
If the WWE is Power Rangers and Pokemon? LET IT BE SO! I like these because I genuinely love the concepts of the games of Pokemon, and the shows of Power Rangers/Super Sentai. And if this is to be believed, the WWE is to be REALLY good.

Hardcore WWE sheep? I just listed ALL the promotions I watched. CHIKARA/Dragon Gate/New Japan are my favorites. And no, the WWE did *NOT* make the most money during the attitude era. They were most POPULAR then, as was wrestling in general with all the promotions. Don't say WWE is the reason why it's down either, as wrestling is down in Mexico and Japan. The business is steady, but nowhere near it was before. I brought up money because you said the WWE is "a corpse" Nowhere NEAR.

As a fan of CMLL and AAA, no it's not . You're once again talking out of your ass. AAA died when Antonio Pena died and Konnan took over the booking, and CMLL hasn't been good in the last two years. And those "old school fans" you speak of simply grew up. WWE is recapturing a new audience. Also, wrestling is in no "shitter". It's heading for another boom period, if anything.

WWE manages to entertain me, and puts on GREAT PPV matches (The Punk/Rey series, Evan Borune vs. Chris Jericho), and yet I watch other promotions, so don't say I "don't know what real wrestling is". I do.

And for the love of Baby Jesus, a wrestler's job is NOT to put on 5-star matches. It's to put on a good showcase for the fans while working with your other opponent. To bring the fans into it your match, which is what guys like Cena do. Not to do a million flips, which can STILL be entertaining.
Also, WWE sucks and TNA is the company with NO restrictions....which is why RVD wrestles exactly the same as he did in the WWE. So much for WWE "watering him down", huh? :)

Last time RVD was in WWE which was 2007, it wasn't as watered down as it is now. If he came back to WKE they'd ban half his move set. TNA isn't perfect but like Doug said, 10 steps ahead of WKE.

RVD and Joe suppossedly only got 4 minutes but they complained and got more time. I wonder why most people haven't done that before. 100% agree that HBK/Taker is still the match of the year. I thought WM 26 was very good man. They had two very good world title matches and a very good - great MITB match. WWE PPVs this year haven't been that bad. I personally liked WM, ER, and MITB. Everyone should root for TNA to survive. Even if you don't like it, we need it and we should hope it survives.

im thinking that fortune should be aj, kazarian and beer money. i like that desmond hasnt been included as it means he has the opportunity to dodge fortune and move on to the main event status (though they've been squashing him which doesn't look promising). aj the successful heavyweight, beer money the capable tag team and then kazarian, a wrestler who has never lived up to his potential, which of course will mostly get over kazarian.

Desmond will then try to seek revenge on Fortune. At the same time, if TNA were smart, they'd hire Haas and Benjamin and link him back with Kurt Angle.
