Desert Blue is actually an awesome movie. Kate Hudson as a pretentious TV star, Christina Ricci as the goth girl, and Casey Affleck as the funny dude. A cast of "that guy looks familiar"s and a fun easy plot. Rilo Kiley's Papillion is in it too.

In one of her songs "Rabbit Fur Coat" she seems to accuse her own mother of forcing her into that career so the mother could enjoy a more privileged life style.
